Prince - Yamaha Purple Piano (Piano & A Microphone Tour Official Opening Video)

Last year, Yamaha Entertainment Group had the remarkable honor of building, producing and and shooting Prince's famous custom Yamaha purple piano for his Piano & A Microphone tour. This video, which was directed by Yamaha Entertainment Group founder Chris Gero and produced by Yamaha Entertainment Group, was to be the opening video for the tour. We are proud to present this video to the world now as our heartfelt tribute to one of the greatest musical pioneers of all time.

This project was truly an honor and a highlight of my career to be a part of. The Purple Piano was truly something special to touch and have on set with His presence. I will always cherish the opportunity and Prince’s sentiment of letting us know that he had hand picked us girls and that He was very happy with the finished product before his passing. Even tho no words can describe the sadness we all felt and continue to feel- I am grateful to have had the opportunity of being a part of something bigger than myself that he was very hands on with and had bigger plans for.

We got 15 inches of snow in Bangor a few days ago (really late to get so much), and of course it made me think of Prince... I'd be honored if some Prince fans would take a listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performances of PURPLE RAIN and DIAMONDS & PEARLS on my YT channel in tribute to the greatest songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist of all time.
