@Jayda InStitches
Hi hon, what brands of yarn do you most for your projects? Do you have any favorites that are more durable and soft? Thanks Jayda, you guys are my #1 favorite crochet family 💜💙💜💙
Hi! We use a lot of acrylic, size 4 yarn - basically whatever I can find (mostly locally) that I like! Some of the brands we use regularly are Bernat, Red Heart, Loops n Threads, Mary Maxim and some no name stuff :)
@@JaydaInStitches
Hi ya! Awesome thank you so much 😊 so any acrylic #4 will work, that's perfect!! I've been using red heart, loops and thread, and hobby lobby Brand's are great also! Love all your videos Jayda!! Keep up the fantastic work InStitches family! You guys inspire and make crocheting so much fun!

Hi Kim! that sounds adorable! Thank you for watching :)
Hi. My name is Naomi Thompson. I have tried to crochet hearts from so many tutorials from youtube. Unfortunately they were not as easy as they looked. So I must admit, yours is the simplest! I have already made 12 hearts from your lessons. I am attaching them to a scarf for a friend of mine who lives in Ohio U S. The scarf is a present for her birthday. I think I should also mention, the scarf was not crocheted. Only the hearts were. The scarf was knitted. Thanks for the crochet lessons, Glenda, if that is your name. I still have many more hearts to do so I am not finnished with you yet. And if you would like to know, I am from Israel.
Hi Naomi, your scarf sounds really pretty! Thank you for watching :)
I love this little heart! I am going to make a garland out of it. Thank you so much Jayda!
I also have a question. I have been doing the mesh stitch market bag for gifts. My mom really likes it, but she wants it about twice as big. What kind of increase do I have to do?
Hi! It might be easier to just double strand the project with a bigger hook (stick to cotton). It will make the bag bigger and stronger at the same time :)
Thank you so much!!!☺
can you make a tutorial on how to make it bigger? i wanna make a bag with this, it's so cute.
Hi! We turned this into a little purse here: ua-cam.com/video/y9Tph0pDUHY/v-deo.html But you might find this heart is better for a larger size: ua-cam.com/video/N_41Y2vH6eA/v-deo.html
Secret yarnary tagged u in the granny square challenge
I made one for a friend. She has a spot she can't remove on her desk. This will be a nice cover up.Thanks.
Perfect!
Crista at The Secret Yarnery tagged you in the 2020 Season of the granny challenge
OMG! This was SOOOOOOO much easier to understand than the last video I watched on how to make this particular style heart!! THANK YOU!!!! Now, lol, are there directions anywhere to make a bigger version of this?
Hi Linda! The easiest way to upsize it is to use a bigger hook and thicker yarn OR a bigger hook and 2 or 3 strands of yearn held together :)
@@JaydaInStitches I came back to this pattern a year later, lol, made 2 of them and attached them together with the border, loosely stuffed em, and now I have a squishy toy for little hands! Thanks again for this easy-to-understand pattern!
Thank you!!! Im going to decorate my husbands grave with these and make coasters too!
I love this. I was looking for a good larger sized heart that could be used for dishcloths, coasters, etc, and this video is the easiest pattern and most well explained I've found! Also, the border was easier as well lol. 😁
If you want to go up or down in size, what would the multiples be when chaining (with and without the +)?
Forgive me if this was mentioned in the video. I've watched it multiple times, but my attention was always on the yarn I was working with as well...😅
Hi! For every 2 chains you add to your foundation chain, each side will grow by 1 extra stitch 😊
i have the same green 5.5mm hook, except the back end has been chewed off, by my little dog molly lol, i am making this from scrubby yarn, sugar and cream scrub off, is what the label says
* giggle * Your puppy probably knew that was one of your favourite things and he wanted a piece of it!
How fun! Where do I get yarn needles with loops on ends?? Thx so much!!
Hi Shelly! Those are wool needles, you can get them in a lot of places, we have a video on them here: ua-cam.com/video/0EWXaWWffxc/v-deo.html
ooh I did these in my hand spun brown alpaca and trimmed it with some cashmere I had dyed pink with strawberry kool aide it turned out sooo cute love this simple pattern thank you !!!**Are you doing the Granny's challenge for the crochet squares protect? cant wait want to do a sweater all I need is to find the right pattern : )
Hi Cintia, those sound beautiful!
@@JaydaInStitches yes your awesome videos inspire us so much thank you : )
Hi Jayda my name is Dill which means heart in the Indian language so I will make a whole load of them and hand them out to my loved ones 🧶❤️xx
Hi Dill! That is so sweet!
❤️
Where do u get the needle threader?
Hi Jayda, Do you have tutorials for heart shaped afghans? Mary Warren
Hi Mary! We have an adorable Heart at the Centre Granny Square here: ua-cam.com/video/Ob8IVq_KJVk/v-deo.html
💜😍
Can I make this cute heart large enough to be Placemats?
Hi Jayda these are beautiful 😍 would u consider making a toy aeroplane for a child ✈️
HI Paige! Thank you for the suggestion :)
Can you make it bigger? Say like for a placemat?
Hi Jayda
Which yarn would you suggest for a bunting or garland...acrylic or cotton?
Can they be face scrubbies??
Hi Josephine, made in cotton, they'd be just fine for that!
What is the best t shirt yarn
And what is the best yarn
🐝🐝🐝
حبيبتي حبيت شغلك حلو وعملت اشتراك ولايك في قناتك بالتوفيق لنا جميعا
i would love to make a heart placemat. Can this pattern be expanded to make one? Thanks for your thoughts on this Jayda!
Hi Jessica, depending on how wide/tall you'd want your placemats you'd have to fiddle around with the foundation chain length and how many rows you add 😊
If I wanted to make bigger do I just keep going around
Love this. Question where can I buy one of those needles to weave my ends in?
Check out Etsy. I did in Australia ....and thats where I got mine from
If your in the US I got mine at Walmart. I’ve also gotten them when I buy new hooks off of amazon
Hi Iola, wool needles are usually sold everywhere that yarn is, we have a video on them here: ua-cam.com/video/0EWXaWWffxc/v-deo.html
I couldn't find them in the store, so I ordered them from Amazon. They are called Wool Needles, and they are a game-changer!!
Jayda, how can we show you pictures of our work?
Good question! Thanks 🙂
Hi! You can share photos with us on Instagram, Twitter, Etsy and Pinterest (we're at Jayda InStitches in all 4 locations!) Just be sure to tag us so we are sure to see it :)
Yea, good question
And if you are on Facebook, there's a Jayda In Stitches FB Group where folks share photos (although I don't think Jayda is actually on FB).
Do you have a bigger version of this and possibly in Tunisian stitch
Hi! You can use our Heart Pillow pattern here an make a single side for a much larger Heart shape :) ua-cam.com/video/N_41Y2vH6eA/v-deo.html
@@JaydaInStitches thank you for sharing the link. Also I love the energy you have in these videos (it's part of the reason i subscribed to your channel)
