I wanted to quit CA not because I can't complete it but because I am just no more passionate about it. I wanted to make my parents understand that 'agar CA ban bhi gai toh bohut hi kharab CA banugi". Quitting is not always bad and the signs which mam mentioned in her video I have gone through most of them.

I was never a bright Student but i studied hard for 12th standard and got 85+ But i never thought of becoming a CA but when the results of 12th were announced my father was very happy and after 20 days one of my father's friend came to our shop and he said that her daughter was doing CA and said to my father that your son should do CA too And my father was very happy after listening that and said me about that and i was very confused and at that night i said ill do CA (but back of the mind i was very scared because of this decision) And in September 2021 i started studying for ca foundation and managed to clear CA foundation But still after clearing i was not so happy and back of the mind i always wanted to quit but my parents were very happy and they started saying regarding my CA to each and every person And then i started journey of ca inter I was not serious and failed in the 1st attempt and i failed in the next two attempts too and i wanted to quit but my parents said try again "abhi haar maan jaayega toh terko iski aadat lag jaayegi" and my answer in my mind was "kab tak itni mehnat karunga sab chod diya hai 2 saal se sirf ek kamre mein band rehta hu saara din classes and padhai ,haar chuka hu sab se" Never had gutts to say this infront of my parents And now I'm giving my 4th attempt and still feeling sooo petty on myself by ruining my life from past 3 years My interest was to join my father's business and do some other business along But i always feel sooo low and always feel to give up my life but being a very strong person from inside i force myself not to take any wrong steps And after the exams get over ill surely tell ny parents that i dont want to continue I hope they'll understand me and my inner feelings regarding what I'm going through since last 3 years 😇😇
And the best part when I failed in ca intermediate 2 times..the same father said that if it was not in your capacity to clear these exams u should not have choosen CA. Wow papa...the emotional stress that I went through because of which I choose this degree and now I am being blamed for choosing it. It just broke my heart. And I realised u should live your life as you deem fit and not according to anybody's expectations,not even your parents.
I would add.. quit if you are a rational overthinker and a perfectionist. Its hard to rationalize some the things CA requires us to do and a perfectionist mindset can leave a person stangnant in a constant state of confusion.
i watched this video on 5th july 2023, the day ca inter results were announced, I had given one group after failing in nov 22, and I had passed. i wasn't happy with it, I didn't even care that I passed. i just felt numb. from that day I had started the decision of quitting and now I have finally quit. after getting a job in investment banking. thank the universe
I started ACCA and CA together in 2019, my first year in college, managed to pass foundation and inter group 1 in the first attempt and inter group 2 in second attempt, while juggling between college, ACCA exams and CA exams. This march, I gave my last ACCA paper, and I am confident enough, that I will pass and become an ACCA affiliate. I have these two years with me before giving my CA final exams in May 2025 attempt (Started articleship late due to ACCA exams). I always had and have a dream to go and study abroad. I am already 22 this year, and I am really stressed about whether I should quit CA and start my journey to pursue MBA in banking & finance in my dream country Australia or I should just wait these 2-3 years and complete CA and then decide. It really distrubs me because I feel I am wasting my time and on the other hand I really want to make my parents proud by becoming a CA( my father is a Chartered Accountant). Many eyes are on me becoming a CA as I already mention my father being a CA, this videos has just opened all the emotions within me right now. The point where Mehar said that you don't see your life like your seniors and managers as a CA professional, really hit me. Is this a sign for me to quit CA, should i be selfish to choice what i really want? I hope I can make the right decision, so I don't regret it in the future. Thankfully I had a counselling session with Mehar(mam). And tbh it was amazing , i see her as my mentor ,a guiding hand when I was in a tough situation (academically). Quitting CA is an option but it requires a lot of guts to quit what you have been doing for the last 3-4 yrs or more than that , but just don't let it spoil your mental health. In our age we consider CA as our life , and most of us don't even think about attempts and i swear these attempts lead you to depression ,at a stage where you don't even want to study or do anything else . Sometimes it's ok to switch your path , it really doesn't mean that you're not ambitious or you just gave up on your dreams. Dream about being successful and only passing CA can't be seen as success,ryt. Just don't go into the self doubt phase and believe in your capabilities , no one can stop you from achieving what you deserve.

I am still in ca intermediate at 22years of age ( my group 1 is cleared but going to give my 3rd attempt of group 2 in may 23) although I know I will clear it but if I don't then I really want to quit. The thing is that I just don't know what will I pursue after dropping ca and will that be the right decision at this age. This is the thought that haunts me and never lets me quit.
Hi Aditi, I myself qualified CA after multiple attempts so I would like to share my first hand experience. - If it’s not working for you no point prolonging the suffering, think about it like this what if you give few more years and still couldn’t get through CA Finals(MBA Finance takes 2-3 years) and it wouldn’t matter much if you don’t want to practice as a CA. - You can always take a full time job and continue many courses part time Do think about what you really want after all it’s your life Hope this helps! CA Inter can quit if they don't like the core subjects but ca final students should not quit as they might not get good package as a CA inter passout. Rather work hard for 1-2 years and become a CA and this identity will be there with you for rest of your life. You will be able to secure a better package and command good respect in society.

I'll be honest, I was in the same exact situation when I was about to quit CA but I passed in Foundation Nov 22, I genuinely had no passion in CA but still stuck & therefore failed my CA Inter May24 attempt, I'll be giving Sep24 Attempt & quitting CA as I have no interest, I also urge you to think about the same & don't waste your precious time or 1year for CA Inter, you would absolutely regret it later if you do it without any passion

For me it is the hunt for articleship and my wrong decision to join a firm in wrong domain which is giving me a feel that whether I should continue CA or not because I have a mindset that only Big 4 articles and rankers get good opportunity in initial stage of career
