Trust me, I wish I had a clear answer to this question.. GPD keep giving conflicting dates to people... Don't really understand their marketing efforts. I can tell you this, it wont be this year for sure, probably would be announced though and the crowd funding may last for a couple of months, it may be around 6 to 8 months before it would be released to the mass public.
It can play B1, B2, and the Pre-sequel. But it cant run B3 well. Basically it cant run most new AAA games from the Epic Games launcher, without alot of tweaking and modifications
Hi there, you can't simply expect a constant framerate for high end titles such as BL3.. But the rest do run quite smoothly... One thing to keep in check is the hardware specs... Its not the device itself, its just a hardware cap...although as mentioned by others, you could still run most AAA titles provided how far out there you are in terms of tweaking knowledge and undervolting..
I wouldnt give up my win2 for anything. My only issues with it over the last year and a half has been related to the build quality (which is excellent, but not very durable... for sure not durable enough for a handheld) I've had to replace a broken hinge (which means I had to change the entire lower shell), my trigger buttons are spotty (sometimes they double click, sometimes they dont click at all), my battery puffed out and needed to be replaced, and my SD card slot stopped working completely. 90% of these issues is because I am pretty rough with it (leaving it loose in bags and pockets. Almost daily use. Etc) but I feel like a lot of my problems would have been solved if the unit was made with a bit more metal in strategically placed areas
I certainly cannot agree with you more.. We all paid a premium price for a supposedly premium product... Unfortunately, it ain't so premium. I understand bot everyone would be interested to give up their win2s just because the max is coming... When I bought the GPD WIN2... I knew exactly what I was choosing for myself, So I actually started investing time and effort to make games work and work better! and now.. i'm hooked. the time and effort it takes to go through each and every setting to read forums and discuss with the community to find the ideal settings for that extra few fps... that's what makes it all so special... so yeah.. I have a decent PC, but most of a time I like laying on bed playing game, on my couch or anywhere else. thats why I prefer handheld console to another console. I play 3DS emulator with high resolution and believe me! it looks good as hell! some WiiU's title is emulated well on the device by that time now. For some reason, I spent a lot of time for emulating game on this device, but of course I played PC game on it also. Fighting is my most favourite genre, but there's not many titles on handheld device (like Nswitch for an example!) Therefore, I pretty enjoy playing tekken 7 or SoulCalibur6 on it over hours and I have to say they look not that bad with low setting (because of a small display, everything looks just fine) Besides, with a huge steam's library which is much much cheaper price compared to switch, playing game in handheld mode with this device is pretty good!
Excellent points Luan.. I agree with your comment, its ab excellent handheld hybrid console/pc that does out perform every other handheld in the same size class.
@@sheryl124 i supposed to say Yes! But not recommend for 2D fighting games like Guility Gear, Kof, Blazblue or etc (cause of typical move, it can be damaged if you do a combo too hard)

I guess the reason they are still making a lot of money with it is due to the form factor.. The small pocketable pc gaming umpc is the selling point of it... As no other device currently on the market offers the same portability.

Its a Windows machine so you could buy games online fron steam and elsewhere.
Can it run Final Fantasy XIII with any lag?
GDP win max when available?????
Trust me, I wish I had a clear answer to this question.. GPD keep giving conflicting dates to people... Don't really understand their marketing efforts. I can tell you this, it wont be this year for sure, probably would be announced though and the crowd funding may last for a couple of months, it may be around 6 to 8 months before it would be released to the mass public.
@@TeamXCaliber at this point they should wait for new embedded/laptop chips AMD will launch next year
Can it run Sea of Thieves
Yes it can ... Using custom resolution of 960x544 and undervolting, you can get a very good performance.
Can it play all Borderlands games?
It can play B1, B2, and the Pre-sequel. But it cant run B3 well. Basically it cant run most new AAA games from the Epic Games launcher, without alot of tweaking and modifications
Hi there, you can't simply expect a constant framerate for high end titles such as BL3.. But the rest do run quite smoothly... One thing to keep in check is the hardware specs... Its not the device itself, its just a hardware cap...although as mentioned by others, you could still run most AAA titles provided how far out there you are in terms of tweaking knowledge and undervolting..
Your Touch screen problem is almost certainly the display ribbon. It's possible to buy a reinforced updated version now.
How do you get one..or rather where?
Well... Their official site is gpd.hk.but their retail is through aliexpress.. They have an official online store.. That's where I got mine from.
I got mine from Amazon
I wouldnt give up my win2 for anything. My only issues with it over the last year and a half has been related to the build quality (which is excellent, but not very durable... for sure not durable enough for a handheld)
I've had to replace a broken hinge (which means I had to change the entire lower shell), my trigger buttons are spotty (sometimes they double click, sometimes they dont click at all), my battery puffed out and needed to be replaced, and my SD card slot stopped working completely.
But its the overall quality of the craftsmanship that we all win2 owners start to notice or question as time goes by.
@@TeamXCaliber oh well... such is the price we pay for such a niche product.
I have personally never owned a device that has fit so nicely into my life.
light pc gaming in a portable form factor with great battery life, full features, and no need for any accessories? I'll take 12 please...
make it a little tougher, a little more powerful, and a little easier to upgrade/repair/replace, and I would buy every iteration without hesitation
@@tyguy6296 So true! here's a little secret that I haven't mentioned till now in any of my videos. I've never gamed on a PC throughout my life.. always been a PC gamer, I always wanted gaming to be put the disc in an bam!! .. tweaking settings, ini's, undervolting, overclocking always were intimidating for me... simply due to the fact that I never had a regular gaming PC.. When I bought the GPD WIN2... I knew exactly what I was choosing for myself, So I actually started investing time and effort to make games work and work better! and now.. i'm hooked. the time and effort it takes to go through each and every setting to read forums and discuss with the community to find the ideal settings for that extra few fps... that's what makes it all so special... so yeah.. GPD WIN2 is what made PC gaming possible for me... and I cannot imagine going away from portable PC gaming ever!
Work the 3ds emulator?
No.
Lol! I've been using it for almost 2 years =)))) of course it has some issue by itself, but everything was fine for me.
Fighting is my most favourite genre, but there's not many titles on handheld device (like Nswitch for an example!) Therefore, I pretty enjoy playing tekken 7 or SoulCalibur6 on it over hours and I have to say they look not that bad with low setting (because of a small display, everything looks just fine)
Besides, with a huge steam's library which is much much cheaper price compared to switch, playing game in handheld mode with this device is pretty good!
Excellent points Luan.. I agree with your comment, its ab excellent handheld hybrid console/pc that does out perform every other handheld in the same size class.
Is d pad ok to play fighting games?
@@sheryl124 i supposed to say Yes! But not recommend for 2D fighting games like Guility Gear, Kof, Blazblue or etc (cause of typical move, it can be damaged if you do a combo too hard)
@@lu-andoan1990 thx :)
@@sheryl124 yes Dpad works well with fighting games.
i'm playing warcraft 3 reforged beta on my gpd win 2 )) only on low spec((
I'm running on high lol
@@bayfinest1938 how??? on high setting- 20 fps(don't playlable)...
@@Гоги-з8б you have to tewk it setting
That's awesome! Enjoy my friend.
@@TeamXCaliber do you know how to get 3ds games at?
Whats the music? Great review!
Yea im just gonna wait...
Sahi choice hai.. Cheers
Xbox 360?? I've been trying to play Crackdown forever. Is there a way how?
Right now, XBOX 360 emulators are not so good. Although I presume some titles [Very badly] will boot up. So just wait and I bet it'll make great progress
Use win10 LTSB disable updates, done.
can it play games with mods? for example resident evil 2 remake with mods? or skyrim with mods?
Yes. It's a PC at the end of the day.
I feel like for an $800 dollar device the specs should be way better...
I guess the reason they are still making a lot of money with it is due to the form factor.. The small pocketable pc gaming umpc is the selling point of it... As no other device currently on the market offers the same portability.
GaMeAtRoN Very true
You can also play Wii- Wii U- and both Android and Apple mobile too. Or from what I heard.
Has blue screen ?
Legit !
Gpd win 2 best than Nintendo switch
I agree with you! No doubt about it!
PS3 and Xbox 360..no way
Ps3 games are already being played using the emulTor. By Xbox360 I meant most of the games tgat are also available in PC version.
Can it emulate 3ds?
Yes it can! Using CITRA emulator.
The performance on Citra is not great.
This device paired with Launchbox would be the coolest handheld in the universe! ....next time i win the lottery...
For future reference, please don't continuously play music while you're talking. it's very distracting.
I will definitely consider it.. Thank you so much for the feedback.
@@TeamXCaliber You're welcome ^_^
Nah the music is fine.

Is there audio muffling for anyone else?
Not really sure... I replayed the entire video just to cross check... Didn't notice anything.
GaMeAtRoN yea it wasnt the video my headphone was beginning to malfunction. Lol thanks for checking
Xbox 360 emulation...uh huh.
I meant the games which have been released on xbox360 and for windows as well.
I also dislike the design of the smach z!, 😂
