    I like the way this was recorded. Really raw not over produced. I like to hear all the rings and it feels like I’m in the room.

    Thanks for this throwback.
    Those warmup exercises are always
    helpful for getting ready to practice,
    play and perform.

    The exercise playing L2-R3, L3-R2, R2-L3, R3-L2 is such a cool idea. I plan to work on that later tonight.

      How did it go? I just learned about this one year later. Not sure, I'll have the willpower to actually practise this :-)

    Such a great talent and now days a genuinely nice guy. Wish he would find a great band that he could stay in.

    you played a song, something about boxes and moving. it had bass drum for a few measures and then some flams. I would like to know what the name of it is, and to practice it with you. thank!

    Brother Thomas is a breast, but this video is so necessary because so many drummers and percussionists forget to stretch and depending on the gig... Can't warm up or stretch. I remember being on the Warped Tour and we had 25 minutes for a set including setup and breakdown, so at least five minutes of warm up playing as softly as possible were key. Thanks Drum Channel and Brother Thomas!!!

      There's been many times I have also needed to warm up with like 5 mins. Someone, somewhere, in some band we were playing with showed me to put my palms together, keep them together, and clap for 5 minutes straight. You can change the tempo throughout, but don't stop for the 5 mins. It is a great way to warm up your wrists without sticks. Try it out sometime.

      Drums, that sound like real drums... damn. Haha. I actually enjoy it. People get so focused on the prefect tone, and sound, but get upset when they can't get it behind the kit.

    • @nathankleber9150
      @nathankleber9150 4 роки тому

      @deadend i guess i got spoiled with drumeo vids and how processed they are. I like a bit more dampening in my snare as well. I guess i personally feel like DW drums have a strong tendancy to all sound the same. Like they have a very small tuning range. But what the heck do i know? ;-)
