Yep 👍 I’ve never heard that one, ☝️ I too was trying to make sense on the number of shekels paid to Judas. Tell me what you think 🤔 of this possibility. ua-cam.com/video/lyz7G4tY0yM/v-deo.htmlsi=Id7A97EZjbAMVRyq Blessings 🙌 -mark
Before the internet I read a book or journal article where they determined that what they thought were ancient (Old Kingdom) Egyptian beads were in fact coins. They were small (~.5"), flat, fairly thin, with a hole in the center to string them to carry them. I mention this because Joseph was sold around the second dynasty for 20 pieces of silver as a slave. As far as I know these are near the earliest mention of coins (Gen 37:28). Abraham ~150 years earlier is the earliest mention I know of. I also remember that at the time in Egypt, silver was more valuable than gold.
Could it be that Joseph was sold for twenty pieces of silver as a male youth under twenty but Jesus price the price of a female, his bride 🙌 us, our redemption. biblehub.com/kjv/leviticus/27.htm
A mild redirection to avoid confusion. I’m saying this is the classification not that this was one of the literal betrayal coins. Mine was minted 12 years AFTER the crucifixion, therefore, not even a good candidate to have been handled by Judas. If it were earlier, then it would be a candidate but even then would be like winning the super lotto and correct there were be no method to determine who this coin had been handled by.
Hmmm 🤔 post an image of both sides of the coin and post it on a few of the Facebook ancient coin groups. 👍 You are certain to get responses. Or better yet, instant satisfaction…upload those same images to Gemini.google.com and ask it to identify. Let me know how it goes. 👍
With original translations, what’s your thought? Do you think the two coins given by the widow in tithing before YESHUA were the same kind penny he criticized with ceasers inscription? What do you think we’re these the same kind of coin?
The “widows mite” Luke 21:1-3 Is believed to be a bronze mite, also known as a Lepton (meaning small), minted by Alexander Jannaeus, King of Judaea, 103 - 76 B.C. and still in circulation at the time of Jesus. Very different from our modern day penny in appearance but similar in the sense that it is our smallest denomination. 👍 These ancient coins are very common and available typically worth $15- $150 bucks.
P.S. the coin mentioned in the “render to Caesar what is Caesars” in Greek Jesus asks for a denarius which is thought to be the “tribute penny” denarius displaying Caesar Tiberius on it.
Nah, the denarius where Jesus asks them who is printed on is a higher denomination silver coin probably worth a days labor. The two bronze mites the widow dropped in were not worth much at all, like a modern penny.
About 800 to 10k USD. It’s fun to own a replica about $50 bucks. Also fun just to see what’s available. Just don’t trust EBay, I’ve bought many fakes there.
I’m happy to look at it if you want to send pictures but I am not an expert. Best place for free is Facebook Ancient & Medieval coins m.facebook.com/groups/ancientnumis/?ref=share&mibextid=ykz3hl or Forum for Ancient Coins. If you want it professionally evaluated and slabbed send to NGC Costa around 50 bucks.
not conjecture however it is symbolic. Ill tell you what it means: it means him and his descendants will be assured prosperity. Not gonna explain why though if you don't know ancient numerology.
The Bible wasn't specific what silver coin was used, so it's all conjecture. Nowhere does it say where they were minted or when. They could've been older silver coins.
@lamarravery4094 it’s no longer a conjecture but a Slam-dunk that the shekel of Tyre is the betrayal coins ….wide array of numismatic research points to it! Shalom
😅🤣 No man no Monsoon Mavunkal. These coins can: 1. Be authenticated- see David Vagi NGC video ua-cam.com/video/oVT17uJ5Zdo/v-deo.html 2. I do NOT claim these were the actually silver pieces of silver received by Judas in betrayal of Jesus. 😆 It’s possible my coin was involved but very very unlikely. 👎
Not sure what this means. Maybe you mean high production Industrial Revolution mints, which 😆 would be correct. 👍 Silver was warmed up heated dropped in a dye and struck with a hammer.
Jerusalem Minted half-shekels -- as opposed to the Tyre Minted half-shekel -- typically have the letters "KP" or "KAP" engraved to the right of the eagle; dates of the Jerusalem Mint coinage range from 18 B.C. to 69/70 A.D. The Greek letters "KAP" are an abbreviation for "KAICAP", the Greek word for "Caesar".
Wow ! Congratulations !🎉
Just picked up one of these in an auction. Dated 29/30 AD. Had no idea about the history until just before. Amazing coin. Great video.
Sweet! 🙌👍

excellent collection ! I was looking around on Ebay and ended up here at your video.
Why thank you KP!
Be careful on EBay I could make you a video just showing the fake coins I bought on EBay. 😳
I discovered that a man is worth 50 shekels. So the Sanhedrin insulted Messiah by giving the woman's fee of 30
Yep 👍

Beautiful coin!
First time here. Please explain all those coins. Thank you.
Most likely the shekel of Tyre which was received by Judas Iscariot for identifying Jesus to arrest him by the high priests.
Why arent these coins in the Vatican museum?
Good 👍 question.
Because there is an abundance of ancient coins.
If the Vatican grabbed all the ancient coins it would be much too much numerous.
The Vatican basement probably has all 30, as well as the pottery from the field.
I found a coin just like this but it has ok. CA on the back any idea what it is
