It is like Christmas morning for me every time I get a guitar.
That Strat is a cool green. I like when people keep all the original papers with guitars, especially Gibson's still have their baby picture from the workbench at Gibson before it leaves the factory.
Three screws to the neck of the Silvertone is less than most guitars. The amp is a huge plus. The guitar and amp would be a cool display piece together. First time I seen a seatbelt in the case.
Nice, the video is back up! I was going to be watching it earlier. Then it said it was private. I was so confused. I seen the screen shot of the wilshire, and knew it was going to be a good one. Such an underrated guitar.

I am the proud 'new' owner of the '89 Strat. I love it so much! Fun fact: the finish is not Sherwood Green Metallic, as Fender wasn't offering that finish at the time on their USA Standards. It is actually Gun Metal Blue that has aged green. Whatever clear coat they were using in the '80s tended to yellow over time, and yellow + blue = green! If you remove the pick guard or backplate, you can see the original finish. The result is a beautiful and completely unique, aged finish! They must have changed the clear coat by '90 as those are still quite blue. Ok, nerdy history lesson over. THANK YOU for liberating her from a closet and releasing her back to the wild. She's a fine instrument, plays and sounds fantastic, and will be played in good health for years to come. Cheers!!
I was really hoping you might surface for this one, how cool!!! I had no idea, but that makes sense! I pulled Sherwood Green from the Fender finish guide online but as I stress, one of the main points of this channel is to crowd source info like this from the community! I’m a player first and technical guy....last lol but learning fast!! Enjoy that Strat, can’t thank you enough!

That Epiphone is cool as hell.
There is no such thing as a "soap bar humbucker". A soapbar is a P90, which is a single coil pickup. A humbucker is a dual coil pickup. That Epi has humbuckers ... period. nd the Silvertone amp does not put out 30 watts.It is likely more like 5 watts.

That strat is amazing!! Reminds me of the first strat I ever saw when I was kid going with my grandpa to the local guitar shop.

What a haul, I don't think I would have an easy time choosing between these three but I think the Strat just because of the color. Green and black are my go to colors and that is no ordinary green.
That Sherwood metallic green was unreal. It sold on Reverb before I could blink!

I love the Epi and remembered My uncle bought the silvertone from sears. He never learned to play.

All the I keep thinking I did something wrong somehow. Cool, I'm going to go back to working on this 12" speaker cabinet I'm building to revive an old Marlboro amp from my teenage years.

3 completely different guitars but all lovely in their own way. The Epiphone looks sweet.
Soap bar pickups typically refer to P90s almost exclusively, so the humbuckers on the epiphone wouldn't really qualify, but the Silvertone pickups may very well be a set of P90s, or otherwise mini-humbuckers ;D
Super cool haul tho, I'd love to check out the Silvertone with its amp. I love those vintage single knob amps. I have a 1953 Gibson BR6-F, that I restored with the help of my brother. Sounds killer. Little darker than Fender amps but just as much bite.

intro is way too loud imo and also a guitar channel but intro music is some dubstep so u know... maybe im just nitpicking but it is kind of annoying when the whole video is in a certain volume but sometimes randomly it's just blasting my headphones xd
