I love how Sean greeted Catherine’s grandma with the respectful Filipino gesture called Mano or pagmamano. 😍 It’s a sign of respect to elders and as Similar to hand-kissing, the person giving the greeting bows towards the hand of the elder and presses their forehead on the elder's hand.
That was another Filipino way or style of how to test a guy if he still continue to love a woman despite their negative comments and Sean did it he truly loves Catherine as Catherine said" Sean loves her unconditionally". Now Sean was very appreciative of Filipino Culture, values, tradition and others.
I haven't seen the whole season but I do remember Catherine saying she was picked on, that ppl told her she eats too much, etc etc. Just very critical of her and she didn't think Sean would be interested in someone like her because of those things...and now, I see it was likely her own sisters that made her feel insecure or unworthy. She is absolutely beautiful, so I hope their voices are no longer the ones she hears when it comes to how she feels about herself.
You all don't understand. They're concerned about her. They are skeptical whether Sean is really into Catherine because it's a TV show and there are still 3 other women left. It could very well turned out that Catherine was not the one picked by Sean and all 4 Giudici women would be crying and upset in the end. Listen to what her mother said. "I don't want anybody to get hurt. I don't want you to lead her on and I don't want her to lead you on". It all turned out well because Sean is really a nice guy. He proved that he really is seriously in love with Catherine.
They could have expressed their concerns by asking concerned questions about Sean rather than throwing Catherine under the bus . Fortunately Catherine’s mom and Nan helped to resurrect this .
I think they have their mama’s identity and don’t want to let her sister go. It’s like mother’s have this obsession with their kids. See the mother talk. Catherine has her father’s identity which is lucky he’s better off with Catherine.
No, they are just protective to their sister, its normal that they are being skeptical because of the way they found love. Even her mother didnt really trust their love and think that sean will choose another girl and didnt want to expect anthing cause she knew theres a possibility that sean will choose another girl.. and its also good that sean saw the bad side of the family and catherine. And if he still choose her means he really love her.
I do understand that the sisters were a bit over protective cause of the situation. Catherine was one of 3 ladies but they should have trust Catherine. It's her life. I've heard when the bachelor or bachelorette meets the final 4 families before the meeting the producers asked a member or members of each families to ask the tuff questions.
There's a difference between jealousy and someone who loves you. Someone who loves you will lay down the truth no matter if you like it or not, whether you push them away or not. They love you and want the best for you. In this case, this is 100% jealousy. Why would someone bring up about how she's messy or not? Irrelevant. I realized sometimes your family doesn't know you anymore and the people you spend most time with know you better but you should know yourself best.
I totally agree Catherine's sisters were jealous of her as I believe they had issues that had/have nothing to do with her. I am glad Sean and Catherine are happily married with adorable kids as they are a beautiful couple with a beautiful family!
The sisters were skeptical and probably surprised that it had gone this far. I have sisters too who would probably say things like this and I'd have to get very defensive to let them know they cannot disrepect this thing/man. It reminds me of how skeptical Rachel lindsay's family was of Bryan - they do it cause they're testing both people...you can also see how serious Sean was bout Catherine..he was so respectful to her family.
I understand the mother not giving her blessing after one day of meeting Sean in front of cameras, while he was still dating others too. But the way the sisters belittled Catherine was disrespectful: it seemed like they wanted to pop her and Sean's bubble of happiness via criticism and doubt to bring them back down to their idea of "reality". I liked that Sean could recognize they were being hard on her...
Wow! Catherine has a Filipino blood. I was shocked to see Sean doing the filipino cultures when he see the elders in Catherines family. Me: what was just he did? (Rewind) And find yeah it's a filipino culture 🤣😂🤣 Catherines fam: mabuhay! Me: confirmed! 🤣😂🤣😂
I agree with the jealous comment. The sister's are jealous. We all know, the way you are with your family, isn't the way, you will be with all other's. To bash their sister, to this man, were so wrong. They basically were placing him in the arms, of the other women. Then if he except what they're saying, and don't choose her, they will try to convince her, that he wasn't good enough for her. When the truth is, they wanted her, to be miserable, just like them. 😣😣😣😣😣
I agree...I am also hoping they apologized to Catherine for being harsh with her at that time being! I believe they had issues that have nothing to do with her! They are lucky Sean didn't send Catherine home and should be thankful they are happily married with 3 adorable kids!
That's part of filipino culture...testing the guy if he really like their sister by telling them all the bad things about her character because its a belief that if a person courting your sister or your daughter for that matter, knows all your bad characteristics and still likes you, it means he really loves you and he will never leave you...😊
@@susanagarcia8649: That may be part of the culture but it’s embarrassing and can hurt someone’s chance at love which is sad. In this case, Sean had other choices too. They almost sabotaged it for her 😞.
Sorry to say but the sisters, especially the older one Monica seem quite jealous and for the sisters again mainly Monica to throw Catherine under the bus like that is pathetic, shame on them. I believe Catherine in an interview said her sisters give her a hard time, that´s sad. Sean´s season was my favorite of all and I always rooted for Catherine in this Bachelor, they are my favorite Bachelor couple, aside from Jason and Molly, also Trista and Ryan from the Bachelorette.
oh yeah now I remember, he brother was hella weird with Sean and thats why he didnt pick Des. The point of hometowns is for the lead to see if they can fit in with the family or if they want them as in-laws and sean did not want that brother as an in-law
I have to admit that I didn’t see this during the season that this happened, but the sisters are quite toxic. I get it, he has to propose within a week and this is also crazy and fast, but man they couldn’t even be supportive? None of the family was supportive not even the mom. It was awful. Even I was doubtful of it even though I know how it turned out. Crazy. Like, if I was Katherine, I would stunt on the family just to show them how good it is.
I certainly hoped Catherine's sisters apologized to her for being harsh at the time being. There were/are lucky Sean did not send her home and that they are happily married with adorable kids!
I don't think the sisters are "evil" like I'm hearing some people say they're just... "too real" is the closest thing I can think of to call it. You know, a lot of the families I'm sure want to see their daughter/sister etc. get picked so they're not gonna bring "reality" into it yet because they don't want to be the reason this doesn't work out and put him off and have her be heartbroken. The sisters come across as like "woah woah woah wait... before you spend a /lifetime/ with this person you gotta know /all/ sides to her and /love/ all sides to her rather than the limited sides you've seen." Was it probably a bit pushy, yeah. Was it ill-intentioned? I don't have enough information to go off of but there's reason to potentially give them benefit of the doubt.
She was so excited and the sisters can see that They jealous That was so Disrespectful how the older Sis painted a picture of her sister “Every guy that she has dated…. …” That’s Toxic. I am filipino I also have 2 other sisters. And, when I was excited about something. My sis would say something to bring me down and my energy down
I knew Catherine was half Filipino!!! 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 Her sisters on the other hand were bad vibes *Catherine is obviously Awesome & it’s sad her sisters didn’t Focus on that and were saying negative things about her… That didn’t Stop him from choosing her 😏
There's no divorce in the Philippines and most Filipinos do not believe in divorce. The way they started their relationship is not normal. Her sister's description of how she handles relationship is similar to my cousin. If Catherine is really the type of person who loves being in love, I think the guy would appreciate the warning. They shouldn't have done it on TV though. They should give their sister some "face" and not roast her on TV.
Wicked wicked family. It is no wonder that God plucked her out of that horrible unloving toxic family into a Godly supportive loving family. God is good. That girl deserves all the good things in her life
Disappointed with the sisters in multiple ways - not sure who they are - that was not a loving supportive conversation - they certainly rained on her parade.
Catherine was one of the most naturally beautiful women ever on the franchise.
nope! Also Ashley Hebert, Molly Melaney, and many else very natural and very beauty inside what EVEN MORE IMPORTANT ❤😻😻😻😻😻

The fast talking sister sounds very critical of Catherine, and is eating her words now.

I think, the sisters talk about what to tell to sean, if sean really love catherine no bad side of her will stop him on choosing cath.
Her older sister was jealous because she wanted a blond boyfriend, but now she's married to one too

The older sister was definitely jealous. She didn’t have to say all those negative things.
Not jealous. Nervous and worried about their little sister. They don't want her to be hurt.
I disagree.

Catherine’s lola ( grandma) is really sweet.. Sean is the luckiest bachelor and he deserved Catherine in his life .. love you both❤️Mabuhay !!!
