This is when age wasn't a factor, they were young but stable.
One of the most humble girls in that season, patiently awaiting her turn for a date. It paid off. Patience pays. He always says he missed her. Didn't say that as much with the other girls. Makes sense he ended up with her.
They left out the BEST PART!! She climbed right into the wheel well and curled up...she FIT perfectly, like a little squirrel in the center of the wheel on that bus!! Does anyone else remember that adorable, playful moment??

Don't you just love the humility and grateful attitude? "I'm such a lucky girl. It was worth the wait. I know it's going to be perfect." None of that, "I deserve..." stuff and the drama. No wonder he picked her in the end.

When social media wasn't much of a factor! When simple dates like this turned into something special! When contestants didn't move to LA shortly after the show! When contestants of this season didn't take acting lessons! When a girl who wasn't even on the radar at first, captivates the man who eventually proposes and no breakup, they live happily ever after! Now, this is love!
Yes it was a simpler time, but it wasn't prehistoric lol. Sean and Catherine DID move to LA right away for DWTS and to "follow the fame money". Both DWTS and Bachelor were huge back then, and he placed 6th on DWTS IIRC. They had a televised wedding in SoCal also (I think the 3rd after Trista/Ryan and Jason/Molly). Plus he had the precursors to the modern Instagram Influencers on his season in AshLee and Selma. The couple did eventually move back to Dallas but continued the "reality stars gravy train" with family feud, wife swap, marriage therapy, and some cooking competitions.
Tldr: I think we can celebrate the only Bachelor & F1 pair to marry - and that too stay married and have kids - out of almost 20 years of trying... without making up untruths about them to feed our nostalgia for a simple time.
These two had such a fun and natural energy together.
This was the 1st episode I watched of Sean. I fell in love with them both. I'm so glad he chose her.

This was one of my first seasons and it hooked me . The show was worth watching back then.

I remember I looked up spoilers for this season and absolutely loved Catherine from the moment I saw her. I loved seeing their love blossom
She reminds me of my best friend. She just makes everything fun.
Catherine just taught a clinic on how to embrace life and be your best self. 90% of the other contestants would have been worried about their hair and makeup, or moody because of the weather. She was just happy to be having a play date with him in the snow! And she made him realize that no matter what curveballs get thrown their way, she will make him feel incredible and they will share a ton of laughs. It’s impossible NOT to fall in love with Catherine on this date!

I feel like they edited a lot of Sean and Catherine moments and showed us more drama, cos for the first few episodes we hardly aw his connection develop with Catherine yet there was clearly something from the start. Reason I say that is because they keep saying how comfortable they are with each other and they are but we never saw the development until a few episodes in.
Reality Steve - who was a big deal back then - successfully spoiled their season, and did so early enough that production had time to rewrite the season on the editing floor. Notice that the first episode of the season had no intro package for either Catherine or Lesley - in every other season the F1 & F2 have intro packages. They really reedited the season to throw the viewers off the scent. Meanwhile Reality Steve was able to leave his day job and make spoiling his full time career, off the back of this win.
Love these two...but can anyone else spot her neil lane engagement ring on her hand around 3.18...i assume that was a retake after the engagement! Plus she's beaming!
