You are the coolest, Shannon! I love how fluid and easy going your style is. You really get that this is supposed to be fun. Thanks for all of your inspiration!
I love this idea so much Shannon. The lucky people that are getting these journals are going to be thrilled! What a gift. I know for me it would be that's for sure! I enjoy your art and your ideas so much. Thank you for sharing and giving us your ideas. Thank you, Maribeth Klein😊
when you said you ironed them to dry them, a thought popped into my head. I wonder how well some of the design would have transferred if you had put a cloth over them to press. I'm going to have to experiment. LOL May wind up with a whole new set of backgrounds. You are such an enabler. Love & Creative Blessings! ~Kelly
Creatively Amy Thank you Amy! I just sent you a PM on Facebook asking for your mailing address. If you don't mind sending it to me, I'll send you one of these when I finish them :)
Shannon, I am new to art journaling - literally just starting first journal. In re: not preconceived design for focal point/image words. What if before you ever started step one you chose mages and stack them in the order they must be used for total number of pages? I didn't read all 67 comments here so maybe someone has suggested already...if so ignore me :) Love the 5S idea though and will do it.
+Neecy Mirva For the Deconstructed Art Journaling By 5s, it would be perfectly fine to choose your images and plan ahead of time. But for the "real" Journaling By 5s process, that would cheat you out of the benefits of forcing yourself to choose randomly and not pre-plan your pages. The idea behind the process is not to beat the clock. The idea is to do as much as you can in the time that you have without pre-planning or putting too much thought into it.
shannon.....please forgive all the questions i ask you but you inspire me so much and i am addicted to your videos and learning from you. my question this time is about the small rubber stamps you used on these collages. i have searched a number of rubber stamp companies for something like these and i haven't found anything. any suggestions? thank you so much for all that you give to all of us....
I don't mind the questions at all Carolyne! But this one is a tricky one since I used stamps that I've had for about 20 years. I have picked up some cute small stamps in the dollar bins at Michael's and JoAnn's so that might be an option.
i was afraid that they were stamps you've had a long time! i go in michaels sometimes and they don't have any interesting stamps but i'll try joann's. thank you shannon....
Hi Shannon, seems I'm a few steps behind you. i learned about you from Jenny's workshop, now I have just joined the DAJ group and lo and behold here you are, lol. like they say great minds think alike I guess.
Really love how your pages turned out, just thought it was a bit strange to do only 4 pages in 5 mins. I think maybe 5 pages by 5. Then it would really live up to its name "DAJ by 5s". I´m way behind everyone as I have only just discovered mixed media and did my first JB5 this month which you will be able to see at my YT channel shortly. OXX Joy, September 2016
Looks like a lot of fun. I love your carefree style. 'Oops a hole....collage over that later.' I need to remember that, instead of stressing over it. You are such a great life teacher as well as an artist!!!!!
Shannon, not only are these gorgeous, but I get such a kick out of the way they sound when you handle them and move them around. Too fun. Lisa
+FrostyJava I know EXACTLY what you mean!

MandyOf Marymac If you take it out of its original package it will fit.
