That blue wire is for the reverse light circuit, which is weird on Hopkins part because the electric trailer brake wire is commonly blue. If your truck had came with factory tow package like mine, you'd have 7 blade round female connector on the truck end. You could have bought a 5 flat to 7 round plug adapter for about $10 and had plug & play reverse lights. Just saying.

I put a entirely new Hopkins Quick Connect dual connector that mounts in my bumper. Gives me 7 way and 4 way. Great video Big Mow!

They make the connector grease you can put on it or you can slightly file them. Great video.
