Hope things unfolds smoothly for you during this move! Enjoy that family time, I had to do the same prior to moving to the USA! Can't wait to see you back on my feed :)
Just found your channel mate, love it. Watching thru your EQ series now and getting that EQ bug again. Good luck your vids are super well narrated and well edited, love it.
Been a YTer for 12 years. I like why you're making videos. I started the same way. There are a lot of negative things about YT that almost force the robotic vids (it has been more and more heavily commercialized after google bought it). My opinion? Not worth it. I make videos cause I enjoy it; not for clout, money, etc. Loved your vid. Keep it up!
I've been burning out on Teek once I hit the 40's soloing; it really starts to slow down at that point. I solo because i have young kids and a wife; lots of interruptions. Grinding solo at higher levels is super slow and pretty boring. I feel like i don't want to or can't do anything else other than grind exp until I'm max level in the game. I'm not raiding or grouping and my friends aren't playing right now. My typical pattern is to quit around now and return later repeating the same cycle. I've wanted to make Teek my final playthrough from the beginning to live, but we'll see. Even with all the accelerated exp and items on Teek this game is very demanding on one's time. In the end I'm wondering if the original social aspect of playing with my friends growing up was the only thing holding the experience together and if soloing isn't viable for more than a short period of time. It makes me want to re-roll as a social class and give it a try, but, as i said, grouping is kind of a problem at this point in my life. Any opinions?
There's a lot of quick tutorial videos you could do that would help players. You would be surprised how many people don't know how to get to the east freeport sewers or how to quickly run from upper guk to lower guk, or where the different camps are and what items drop in each camp. This is one of the reasons necromancer is a great character to play for youtube, the class is powerful enough to go almost anywhere and safely show people the areas. If you tried to make the same content with a warrior or cleric, it may not go so well.
You should definitely consider making a discord server for your channel, have an LFG channel and some chats to talk about EQ and music and what not, I know I would join, I think outside the game the only way to meet people on green is through the subreddit or the p99 discord LFG which is usually not that active lol.
I created my channel specifically to chronicle all the journey from 1 to 50 and beyond in EverQuest, coinciding with the release of Teek. I've been having a blast on this server. First time raiding everything and I intend to cover all the expansions I can. I understand when you talk about sometimes thinking too much about content creation and stop having fun while playing. We have to find a balance. For me, it's 1 video per week even though I have raw footage for lots of videos. I really like your style of video for EQ, just playing and talking about a topic game-related or not. If you want to play in Teek again, join a guild and experience some raiding. If I remember correctly, you are not that big of a fan of raiding, but most, if not all guilds, do not require raid attendance at all. Just do the raids you'd like to see in-era. And if you need some help leveling, I am currently leveling my persona box cleric in Chardok, just duoing or trioing with my 60 Monk. We'll get you to 40 and then we can group together. You can record some leveling there and post your thoughts on TLPs in general with that footage. Happy moving and see you in EQ somewhere. :)
that's awesome! I will definitely check your vids out. And I also started playing on Teek again so I am definitely down to group up. I have a 41 druid and I'm leveling a lowbie bard atm
Just hopped on P99 two days ago after a very long absence and man it feels great. Got EQ back in 99 and was hooked right away even if I had a crappy human ranger that couldn't see past six inches in front of his face and spent hours in the Surefall Glade lost in the tunnel trying to find my way out. Eventually mastered the ranger and I used to test new recruits in our guild by escorting them across every outside zone in Kunark. One of my fondest memories is a total party wipe in the bottom of Kaesora. We all dropped down the shaft but our druid had levitate and he stopped on the second ledge instead of dropping all the way down. Well he aggroed a spider before he jumped down and never told us he had agro. All of a sudden a door opens and the entrance was black with spiders trying to climb over each other to get to us. We did not last long. No monk in the group so I popped SoW and went down to get each corpse. Made it to the top all six times with almost the whole zone on my butt. That's when the guild leader made me an officer. (it helped that he, with another officer, were among the dead guys) One story among so many I could almost write a book if I had better writing skills. So happy to see young people enjoying this gem of a game. Who knows, maybe well group up one day. Have fun and safe travels. Raeenson, Ranger extraordinaire.
EQ Community only gains by having ppl like you covering the topic. GG and thank you for your service.
I am so grateful that you're making videos for eq! Like u said, very niche. Love the direction you're going. I always wanted to make rp videos

There is also EQ Archives and Takp for boxing players. Worth talking about these too ❤

That’s a good idea! I’ll get started on that!
Wish I could subscribe twice my friend!

A power group from day 1, and a good schedule would be excellent.
Day 1 means when we schedule it.
@@KrypticKodex oh yeah for sure! A static leveling group sounds most efficient for leveling
