Good, good. Not that I require validation, of course. There are just some - and I shan't name names - who would disagree. It can make life difficult when one's colleagues fail to recognize the research one engages in.
I've watched other videos on this process and they confused the hell out of me. Yours explained what you were doing and why and even gave time for me to see the changes so I knew what I was looking for. So in the end, we use this loop to create fortify enchanting potions with insane % to use while we enchant gear? That was the why I was missing from everyone else's videos. Thank you!
Marcus Morris yes, same thing happened to me. Xbeau too was pretty thorough like this person here. I didn't understand anything. I no longer need the ohgma infinium book lol
The guy I watched before this explained that but like you were saying before I just saw the loop itself and I didn’t understand what the point of doing it was. Also some dude talked about not redoing it so you don’t break the value or something like that and I didn’t know what meant until the last guy explained that evidently you hit a negative value and it crashes the game. Some people assume starting knowledge.
Tip: after you have it all high % make a enchanting potion so it's a high % then use it and enchant a ring with increases alchemy so now you no longer need to do the potion stacking part cuz your alchemy ring will have 1000000% increase
If you have dawnguard dlc you can use yellow mountain flowers instead of fish an you can get a ton of the yellow mountain flowers in the ancestor glade
@Bobby Derran hahaha same here, i wish i had been watching you tube when this game was released back in 2011 because apparently you could dupe back then on the 360
You are doing it correctly. What level are your Alchemy Perks? also you can get it as high as you can and then make Enchanting potions and then make a higher level of alchemy gear. Then go back to to the Restoration potions.
ya I had this problem to I play on ps3 I had the standard game but when I bought the legendary edition all the glitches I couldn't do it would let me so I think you need the dlc to do some of the glitches
If you get the legendary edition you don't need to do any of these glitches. The game is designed to allow Mods with can do anything from make you indestructible from the start of the game to changing the actual look of the game. It's up to you.
As of today, the fortify enchanting potion is not increasing my enchantments. The restoration potions are working for making stronger potions but the enchanting seems to be locked. I'm on PS4 btw
Props on making a fantastic video, my dude. This is easily the best tutorial video I've watched on this. I was really looking for something good to do with the Knife and Fork weapons, and it's definitely Absorb Health now. I can literally eat enemies!
Thanks for the video. It's a good tutorial. I remember making ridiculous super-beast armor and I died when I took it off too! I was really surprised! Lol. You can't make super-beast armor anymore. If you go to high, the game will get an "Error" and the screen turns blue. The game app closes. You gotta sign back in to the game again, and restart it from your last save. (On PS4) Unfortunately my game is "messed up" & enchanting potions aren't working. Hopefully it's not "fixed" and only temporary! I'm so dependent on this fortify resto - fortify enchant loop!
Still works on PS4. I had never played skyrim until a month ago and it was on sale so I bought it. Went through the main quest as an elf restor-a-warrior without looking at any guides but now i have made some screw around characters and wanted to do some glitching. Here are a few tips: 1. For some reason it did not work if all 4 pieces of eqip have the same alchemy%, and 2. I am old (the only other ES game i have played is Daggerfall) and slow. If you find that you cannot get over the 188-206% or so level for a potion in the 60 second window, get your Alchemy up to 60 and get the next muliplier perk. That was all it took....
What i don't get is why no one has mentioned the gauder amulet you get from getting all the claws. if you wear it during the restoration glitch and treat it as one of your items for alchemy, it goes up with your others, and if you get it to go into the negative then (at-least on the ps3) it makes you do the same thing as god mode does on PC. all 3 health magicka and stamina go infinite.
Great guide - and for those on PS4, I HIGHLY recommend getting the jewelry of power mod, and Elianora's mod that gives you all the crafting materials and ingredients outside of whiterun. With these, you can create smithing and alchemy materials that EACH make items 300% better - and all you need to do to enchant your gear is a petty soul gem! So glad I got back into this masterpiece
You can get lots of fish at the lake by iverstead. Just swim early morning from one end to the next. You can get a whole bunch. Plus just outside the cave by iverstead there are blue butterflies. Go around the area.
MrBlogHater which DLC? I only have the Legendary disc that included the Dawngaurd, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. Where is this Manor? I did not know of this. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
Hearthfire is the one that lets you build houses. Windstad Manor is in between the Blue Palace ,Dawnstar and Morthal. You need to help the yarl in Morthal and she will let you buy the plot of land to build on.
May 2018, on Xbox 1, special edition, still works. Never bothered with this exploit until now, probably my sixth playthrough since the game was released. Doesn't matter really what percentages you have for your fortify alchemy equipment. But you do need perks in alchemy tree, and you do need enough ingredients to go through the loop several times.
This still works lol it probably always will since they aren't updating anymore lol I got like 1m health and magic the best way to do it is to use the enchanting potion to enchant a ring or necklace with alchemy so you never have to fortify restoration again simply put the ring on and make enchanting potions
One important note is to make sure you are not using the unofficial skyrim patch. It removes the ability to to take advantage of this unintentional feature. Become a vampire, get the necromage perk, ahzidal's armor and the black book: The Sallow Reagent from the Dragonborn DLC and you can take alchemy and enchanting to even higher levels to make even stronger potions and weapons and armor with god-like enchantments.
Side note, it's possible to abuse this with far less perk investment, in which case the best approach is to focus the "fortify enchantment" gains into alchemy-boosting gear. You can also do a similar, more gradual (and not readily abusable) buildup bouncing back and forth between fortifying alchemy and fortifying enchantment, but you need pretty solid skill investment in both skills. Otherwise your fortify enchantment potions won't build up enough of an effect multiplier to bump the alchemy bonuses any higher, which of course means your ability to fortify enchantment will plataeu. It'll also rather obviously be an obscenely wasteful drain on grand soul gems (black star mitigates this), so doing it without using glitches is generally a losing battle.
I can watch my potion percentage rise, but zero effect to the alchemy accessories. I also need to alternate how much gear I have on to see any jumps. Still, these have zero effect to the fortify alchemy gear. Have not been able to work around that.
Gabriel Gutierrez *oh yes, first you make an alchemy potion and then wait until your Restoration Potion effect are gone and then use the Alchemy and craft an enchantment potion* . That way, the enchantment will stay because i think the Restoration potion override the alchemy enchantment potion. I was having the same issue too when mine keep resetting back down to 8% until i figure that out. Make sure you use the Alchemy/Enchantment Potion to craft a Potion enchantment on one of your gear so you dont have to do this glitch ever again. I say around 6000% Potion enchantment on one of your gear is good enough. Dont go insanely high because it might crash since it crash on me once when my restoration potion was high and i crafted an enchantment potion and use it.
I'm planning to do this for an Altmer mage who acts purely as support. Use this loop to make ultra strong Smithing and Enchanting potions, then smith up and enchant my allie's equipment, before enchanting my robes and jewelry
Ik this video was posted in March, it's October 2018 and I'm on 360, standard game, version 1.9.31.0.8, with Dawnguard and dragonborn installed, and I make my potions with 4 perks into alchemist, have benefactor and physician perks, gear is enchanted at 3%. My gear never gets over 9%, and I did the loop 30 times. Potions cap off at 150% but don't go any higher. Is there any reason for this?
Everything you are doing is correct, the only thing is if all 4 pieces of gear are only at 3% it will take forever and a ton of ingredients. You need to Enchant all your Alchemy gear to a higher level. Or you can buy/steal some Alchemy gear. The most common ones are at 8% and 12%. I have seen a piece as high ass 22%.
Doing this gives you the ability to make insane weapons, gear and potions. With them you can do things like get your Smithing to 100% in just a click or 2, make a weapon that can kill a dragon with 1 hit or sell a super high priced potion for a lot of gold.
The best thing about this is you can make a “forbidden ring” that will let you make one potion that will take your alchemy from 15 to 100, allowing you to level up arbitrarily with the legendary feature. The potion you make will pay for any and all training of any trainer that has a sale option (mages guild etc). I blew my friends mind when I showed him me meditating in lava, I had a ring that regenerated my health faster than the lava did damage, so many possibilities out of this glitch.
So sometimes the game gets stuck. When doing the glitch take off the 4 pieces but only put 3 back on and do another round, then your can put all 4 back on. Usually clear the block.
Been patch? My alchemist 5/5 level100 at alchemy my current level is 40 my skyrim version 1.9.32.0.8 i'm try this glich about 5 time still not work i use 5 amror price 21percen potion create stronger one of them 21percen weapon and amoror improve and fotify restoration =110percen notting happen i,m sure that i did everything correct the glicth is equip AMror create potion remove amror drink potion equip potion . no change at all my amror still 21%never go above 21 i,m try to echance amror by elixir of strengh my amror still 21 create potion are stronger so pls any idea ???
Make sure you have 4 pieces of Alchemy gear and you need to drink the potion first and then take off the items and put them right back on. i made another video on my page showing that they still work.
Yes. Alchemy enchantment will only go on bracers or gloves, ring, necklace and any type of head gear ie. hat, helmet circlet. It won't work on boots or armor. 3:18
Okay thank you so much for replying so fast, you just gained a new subscriber. But the bracers I wear do not have to be hide though right? And the necklace could be diamond, ruby, or anything right?
And I can have that alchemy enchantment on any helmet right I don’t have to find that specific one do I? I am doing something wrong and it is super frustrating. Should my alchemy be level 50? It is 43 right now and I have the benefactor perk.
@@thumper2692 That's correct. The bracers can be made of whatever you want them to be. It is the same with all you gear. So if you like Deadric armor you can make them out of that and if you want a gold necklace with diamonds instead of a silver one with and emerald then you can.
@@thumper2692 If you it's at 50 then make sure you have not only benefactor but Physician and 2/5 of Alchemy. But it will work faster to have 3/5 Alchemy. You need to have them all of it won't work. 2:30
That 17 should really help. Strange. The only thing I can think of for this one is to get the next Alchemy Tree perk to see if it fixes it. Sometimes the game is just weird.
@@MrBlogHater ok, I got it to work. I found a 20 and made the other 2 low pieces into 11% pieces. I also unequipped and reequiped twice on each piece of armour during the process. There is a side note that any pots you make and then duplicate will be used as a stack, even if you store them elsewhere outside your own inventory. So make lots of these things!
Someone else told me that they had to unequip and re-equip twice. I haven't tried it yet but I just started a new game and am going to see if it happens to me. glad you go it to work.
PSA: Fort Restos stack if they are different. What does that mean? Do a basic fort resto, then do one with a white cap, then those 2 are fort resto, BUT 1 is different, so their effects will stack.
Whenever I drink 326% percent enchanting potion I then enchant a ring for an effect. But as soon my effects wear off the numbers on the ring go to 13 or 11
The Enchanting effect is never supposed to wear off. That's very strange. The Restoration Glitch will slightly effect your result but not once you've made an Enchanting potion. Try making a higher Enchanting potion(around 10,000-100,000). *** Note don't go too high or your game will crap out.
It was very nicely demonstrated. However, I can get the potions to only work on my weapons. Any time I try to add anything to armor or jewelry, it crashes.
The % of the potion is too high. You can try and bring it down a bit by using a Petty Soul Gem to enchant your item. If that doesn't work you will have to make a new smaller potion.
Doesn't work for me anymore (v1.9.32.08). Used to, but something has changed. Drinking a Fortify Restoration potion does not change the power of equipped items. 100 alchemy plus all perks, four custom alchemy items between 22 and 28%. Going super fast doesn't fix it.
I was having trouble with this glitch, as my fortify resto potions wouldn't get above 80%. Thank you for letting me know that I needed the perks, although it will take a while for me to get 4 or 5 perk points since I'm level 53 lol.
It won't take you as long as you think. I made a 2019 Duplication Glitch video that will show you how to get more ingredients than you'll know what to do with.
You must have the ingredients for the potion to create it. If you have the ingredients and have not eaten them to see what potion they can make just click on the ingredients and make a new potion and from then on the quick list will appear.
doesnt work on ps4, ive been trying for 1 hour and i cant get past 120% for the potion and the items i wear go up by 1% and then stay at 17% and dont move
You can also try "Leap Frogging". Get your Restoration potion as high as you can and then make several(at least 4) Enchanting potions. Then go Enchant new Alchemy gear at a higher level than what you current gear is at. This way takes a bit longer but the results are the same.
Ohh boy literally just had to make the first alchemy a 3 instead of a 2 Got everything to 1 Mill and it crashed 😂 made the sensible decision and took everything to 100k Thanks boss great guide RESPECT!
I literally have been wasting time doing the enchanting/alchemy loop and after hours of work I have only 28% on all four pieces... I wish I could have saved myself time from harvesting all of those grand souls from mammoths -.- I play on the hardest difficulty setting too, so even with wicked strong glass armor on me and my follower it still took awhile to take ‘em down. I won’t break enchanting/alchemy over the normal cap... I’m just taking a quicker, less mind numbing, shortcut. I still want the challenge. :p
After I use the op enchantment potion and enchant something to crazy levels, the restoration buff potion wears off and the enchanted gear goes back to base enchantments how do I fix this?
Your Alchemy gear will go back to normal but the item like a "soul trap bow" for example that you drank a Fort. Enchanting Potion and then created, should not change at all. Are you on xBox? Do you have the unofficial patch installed?(if you don't, good don't do it)
OK. What level are each of the 4 pieces of your Alchemy gear that you're wearing? Do you have in your tree perk at bare minimum, Alchemy 2/5, Physician and Benefactor?
MrBlogHater I have alchemy 3/5 and physician and benefactor. I did that after I commented. But it still only goes up to about 120% restoration with ~70% alchemy fort. Surely, I’m doing something wrong
@@Tyler-Hoskins It takes a little practice. lol Make sure you have 4 pieces of gear on. Speed is a factor the potions only last for 60 seconds, which is why it starts to go down after awhile.
Is anyone able to confirm if this still works with the latest patch (no mods). I've seen a lot of contradiction between people saying working then the next says it's not
Yes it still works. I try it with and without mods every time there is a patch just to make sure. This will never be patched though because it was purposely put in by the creators.
I made a 2019 video showing how to do the duplication glitch and it still works. You'll have more ingredients than you know what to do with. Also a good way to sell stuff for coin.
Sometimes the game freaks out and will not let you refill. Other times you never need to refill it. If you still have some high level Enchanting potions just make another weapon.
i'm here because of that same problem, BUT i have a solution! if you saved the game before doing the potions, i suggest you to go back to it and make sure you have enough ingredients for at least 10 fortify enchanting potions. Tip: DON'T enchant weapons, enchant armors or gloves or anything with enchantment "one handed weapons do 10000% more damage" for example, because clothes that you enchant don't require recharging and it'll last forever. You'll sure find stuff with that enchantment somewhere, and get to disenchant it and use it in the future. Also i made gloves with "potions you create are 20000% more powerful" enchantment after drinking my last fortify enchantment potion, but it didn't work. TLDR; always make sure you can load old save and do the glitch again.
Guys use it to make a ring of alchemy at your desired strength so that you never have to fortify restoration again that way if you can't recharge your items you can easily replace them by putting your ring on and making enchanting potions
@@ebinnisti1769 that's weird the alchemy enchantment works for me I used it to make more potions after I realized I didn't make enough to last a long time lol I can make them forever now
It "may" work without alchemy perks but you would need thousands of ingredients and it would take forever. There is an Alchemy trainer in Whiterun by the well.
Technically you only need to do this once to get godly stuff. Just enchant two things with fortify enchanting and fortify smithing and you won't have to see a spadetail or small pearl ever again.
@@AceOBlade oh yeah. So I guess you will have to use those ingredients a few more times to get a over powered alchemy enchanted item, then you would only need the ingredients to make a fortify enchantment potion. I wonder why there's no fortify enchantment enchantment though
@@aannoyingcaat There's no fortify enchantment enchant for the same reason there's no fortify alchemy potion: you would be able to make the potion/enchant, drink/equip, and repeat the cycle to do the same thing as this glitch, except it'd be 100% legit and not a glitch in any way.
Speed is key. But here are other ways around it. You can use the duplication glitch and get all the ingredients you could ever need and up your Alchemist 2/5 to 3/5. You can also "Leap Frog". Get your potions as high as you can and then make at least 4 Enchanting potion. go to an Enchanted, drink a potion and make new fort. Alchemy gear.
This is a really good guide but here is what I've learned : Don't get any of you armor pieces over 1000% ( you can get it a little over but not alot ) because if you want to make anything it will 99% crash Skyrim , so don't do that .
@@titandreads2583 I know that this is an old comment but to find armor to disenchant then use the Dawnstar Chest Exploit. You'd need to enchant your own gear afterwards, but once again, DSCE. You could also pickpocket an old lady in Dawnstar for her ring, but the success rate is really low if you're just starting the game.
Laggy McQuacky it is, I been try this for a couple of days and it still doesn't work, I'm on 100 on alchemy and my gear already have an enchantment of 31% for creating potions
I've been thinking about it and can't u create a fortify enchanting potion with your best alchemy gear, drink it and enchant better alchemy mixing gear? for example say your gear makes 29% better potions. drink the fortify enchanting potion, put on your best enchanting gear to make 33% better alchemy potions? and repeat the process until your looking for the right stats? it seems like you'll need alot of great soul gems and items to enchant but in theory I think it can work
Laggy McQuacky the maximum I managed to got was 31% for making potions, and 29% for making enchanting potions, but the good one is for smithing I got 116%
It doesn't work on my PS4. I can get up into the millions but I lose it within a minute. Unless you can keep the high percentages somehow. I have all alchemist perks, spadetales, longfin fish, salt piles, etc. Maybe I can remove the patch or patches. lol
You don't need to be up in the millions. a few hundred thousand will do. The potions only last for 60 seconds and that's why you are loosing it with a minute. Once you get a few hundred thousand just make a ton of potions so you don't have to do the glitch again. You can start from a really high percentage.
Many thanks it’s a well explained tutorial. I love these little tricks of the trade that give us a reason to discuss the game and feel that we have made good progress at the same time! 😍
My gear usually caps out around 15 to 20 percent, do I just keep going and it’ll grow or is it screwed. Also completely unrelated but I’m trying to use the Atronach Forge to get enchanted Daedric swords, but I have the glitch where it only give me war axes and warhammers no matter what I do, do you know how I can stop this?
@@mahn3580 there's a few way to go from here. 1)You can just keep going, 2)You can stop there and make at leas 4 Fort. Enchanting potions and create new Alchemy gear at a higher level, 3) You can up your Alchemy perk from 2/5 Alchemist to 3/5 Alchemist.
There are two factors in these videos and I think the posters are missing a very important part. It would be better to double enchant the armor you are making the potion with and here are 2 reasons why. 1. The max for alchemy to an enchanted item is 25% that means all your items will have its max. 2. Know whats being enchanted helps the player to understand how far to go before it reaches a negative. ALCHEMY ARMOR: Double Enchant: Head Item with Alchemy + Magic Double Enchant: Necklace with Alchemy+ Health Double Enchant: Ring with Alchemy + Carry Weight* ( 700,000 ) should avoid any negative % Double Enchant: Gloves with Alchemy+ Light Armor BASE ARMOR: the armor you will be playing with ... Double Enchant: Head Gear with Magic + Lock picking Double Enchant: Armor with Health + Stamina Double Enchant: Boots with Sneaking + Carry Weight Double Enchant: Gloves, Bracers etc ... with Archery + Two Handed Weapons Double Enchant: Ring with Pick pocket + One Handed Weapons Option: Equip Talos Necklace which will give you unlimited cool down Double Enchant: Necklace with Smithing + Alchemy ( this will allow you to smith weapons and armor to sell and also create more potions to sell or use ) There is no need for Legendary weapons or armor.
I want to know if the effect on the armor pieces stay like that as long as they are equipped, or is it better to just use the potions to enchant permament effects?
The effect stays forever and most of the time never needs recharging from soul gems. Only the potions have a time limit. Just drink the Fort. Enchanting Potion and create whatever you want.
my perk tree, i wiped my save data via games and apps on xbox and have started a new save. A lot of people were telling me my save files might be corrupt. I'll try doing it again soon. P.S On the first character I did it on it worked no problems, its just that another one that i created afterwards didn't budge.
I've heard this before and most people have said that's it their controller not the person. Remember you can use the duplication glitch to get all the ingredients you need and there's no fear of running out.
MrBlogHater I have plenty of ingredients. It’s just sometimes it’ll make 2 potions when I craft once. It’ll pop up like restoration(2) and the more powerful potion is stacked under the other and that just messes the whole thing up.
MrBlogHater Nope. I figured it out. It’s Sinderion’s Serendipity; a gift for completing the crimson nirnroot quest. It has a 25% chance to create a second potion.
It does still work I just did it Saturday October 26, 2019. PS4 regular and PS4 Pro with the Legendary Edition. Try upping your Alchemist Perk from 2/5 to 3/5.
This still works as of September 25th, 2018 at 4:53pm East Coast time and i have all the updates and patches installed. Side note if you want to speed this up a lot and you can add mods, Add the mod "infinite Chest". They will appear anywhere you can buy a house, like in Whiterun. There are tons of ingredients so you don't have to waste time collecting them.
Lol ya it works..... until the effects wear off and your back at base stats. I did this just because I wanted to fix my carry weight and magic regain. When I enchanted my ring and left dragonsreach I found that it was put at base stats once the glitch effects wear off.
That's very strange. Once you create a powerful Enchanting potion, drink it and then enchant you item it should be on there forever. Try a different table.
Doctor Dex I had the same problem, I'm assuming it gets stuck on 10-16% on the restoration potions right? It will stay like that for around 10 times strangely, it will begin to increase normally again afterwards dw
Pro tip: you can equip a falmer helmet and a circlet at the same time, both with fortify alchemy. With 5 pieces of +25% alchemy it only took me 3 resto potions to become OP
Anyone saying you need points in alchemy, its bogus completely viable without. Comparatively works about the same speed as in the video. Granted I paused once and came back my values skyrocketed (actually gamebreaking levels).
They are the percentages of how powerful the potions are. It happens kinda fast but if you look at the bottom of the black box just before a potion is created it will say "Restoration Spells are 1,267% stronger for 60 seconds".
Thank you. . .Where did you get alchemy armor and such? I've been in ESO for the past three years, and didn't get to play much Skyrim, but am making up for it now. I love it! Just got married to my sexy follower too! My mount attacked him for some reason, so no more mount! LOL But I need my armor and skills to get better. A friend pointed me to this. Interesting, for sure, but I still don't quite get how this helps my armor or weapons get stronger.
I made a video called the 5 hidden chests. There are several chests around Skyrim which you can take from and does not count as stealing. There are tons of items in them that will greatly improve your game play.
Man, my game crashes when i try to make the updated enchanting potions, And when not crashes for that it crashes when i try to enchant someting (I just wanna sick damage one handed sword) Edit: Nevermind, i just realized that i shouldn't make the potion *THAT* strong
LOL that's what I was going to tell you. To kill a dragon with one hit you only need a weapon with around 150 hit points. Several years ago you could make a sword with 1 million hit points but what's the point really when 150 will do. Happy gaming.
@@28stabwounder-69 once you get your Restoration potion to the level that you want you have to make an enchanting potion. Then go to the Enchanting table drink the enchanting potion and make the item that you want. **NOTE** the Enchanting potion only lasts for 30 seconds. So you need to know what enchantment you are going to put on which item before you start.
Yes it still works. You can check the 5 hidden chests video that I made to find Alchemy gear or you can check the shops in Whiterun or Solitude. I've found those two are the best at producing hard to find gear.
MrBlogHater thank you 4 replying bro i got this to work i am currently looking for armor and weapon gear thanks to u i am currently enjoying it but i don't wanna go all out to op i wanna just make a strong weapon or gear
I'm glad you got it working. You can use this to make OP potions or gear and sell them for tons of coin and to max out you Speech, Alchemy and Smithing.
I had 3/5 Alchemist in stead of 2/5 in the Alchemy Perk. The more you have the faster it goes. Also the higher level all 4 pieces of your Alchemy gear are will also make it go faster.
I've found these are common hang ups people have. make sure you have all of the nessessary Alchemy tree perks. Make sure you have Four (4) pieces of Alchemy gear(each should be between 6-12%). When creating potions you need to drink them and take your gear of and then put it back on as fast as you possibly can.
you guys know about the gloves that give 10% better damage for using fist. What if you use it for that with this glitch you can have the right to yell ONE PUUUUUNNNNCH :)
Only the Restoration potion will go up. Once you have a level that you are happy with for a Restoration potion drink that and then make a bunch of Enchanting potions. The only way the Enchanting will go up is if you make a new higher Restoration potion.
LOL. 2 easy ways to up your Alchemy are 1) Pay a trainer(there's one in Whiterun near the well), 2) Just make a bunch of crap potions. If you need ingredients it helps to use the duplication glitch.
Dan Man yes but my armor enchantments for brewing better potions were at 12% but it doesn’t matter regardless, it will always work at any % but only if you have the right perks
Everytime I try to enchant I get blue screen and forced to restart game.. and I did manage to make a item of over a million percent fortify alchemy though, would i need to make one that's less?
Once you get your potion where you want it you then make a bunch of Fort. Enchanting potions. Then go to and Enchanter and drink a potion and create a weapon or whatever you want. Remember the Enchanting potions only last for 30 seconds so you have to know what you want to make before you drink it.
hey guy's I just found my old ps3 and started my old skyrim savegame and there I did the glitch to boost my health in billions the problems is I can't unequip it without insta dying any ideas how to get out of this because I really want to get the platinum trophy (don't say look for older saves or start a new game pls)
LOL yes I used to have a Fortify Health Ring with the same problem. This is what you have to do. It will take some time though. You have to re-make the same kind of item, just at a lower health level. It's going to take some time and A LOT of deaths to get it to the right level. Example: My ring was at a Billion, I had to make one that was at 800 million(just equip the new item, don't take the old one off and then put the new one on). Then try to make one that's around 500-600 million, and so on. This is the only way that I've found to do this without restarting or loosing all my progress. Let me know how it goes.
How many pieces of each ingredient do you recommend, assuming you have 2/5 Alchemy, plus benefactor and physician? Also, how to use the fortify enchanting potion after this? Thanks! You've earned a subscription for explainibg it better than others :)
I've never actually counted. More is always better though. Just in case save before you start it. for Enchanting use Blue Butterfly Wings and Snowberries.
Have you joined the ps4 community for skyrim theres like 180k players in it.. maybe i can put a link in there you can blow up helping those people bcuz the mods are fun but they crash the game terribly or corrupt saves doin these glitches are less likely to crash game
You can up your Alchemy tree to 3/5 Alchemy. There is an alchemy trainer in Whiterun near the well. You can also try to leapfrog, by getting your Alchemy potion as high as you can and then making Enchanting potion and then creating a higher % of new Alchemy gear.
Thank you for the quick reply but I managed to fix the loop by getting 2/5 alchemy instead of 1/5 and do the glitch. But thanks for the fast response and great video.
I attempted this perfectly and all im getting is 107% restoration and goes back down and up etc. I go to make an enchanting potion seconds after and ill get a 10% potion... I have the newest update so i strongly belive this has been patched😒
The potions only last for 60 seconds which is why you have to do it as fast as you can. This "glitch" was put in the game on purpose by the creators so it's really more like an Easter egg than a glitch which is why it has never been patched in the past. I will try it in a few hours and let everyone know. In the mean time you can visit the Alchemy shop in Whiterun. The owner is a trainer who will help you get your Alchemy up. That will let you get your perk tree up to 3/5 for Alchemist or higher.
It still works as of last night. I made sure I had all the updates/patches. what lvl are each of your 4 pieces of Alchemy gear? And how many of the alchemy tree perks to you have?
MrBlogHater i have 3 in the alchemy tree and some others and i have my gear to 21%. I think my problem is i was enchanting with clothes and not armor. Im trying to get some really good mage clothes cuz im running a no wepon, no armor playthough. But i still shouldent have the problem. Ill mix the ingredients around see if that helps
Restoration is a perfectly valid school of magic, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
LOL
hahaha nice one
Good, good. Not that I require validation, of course. There are just some - and I shan't name names - who would disagree. It can make life difficult when one's colleagues fail to recognize the research one engages in.

"I got a lot of respect for the restoration school, skyrim could always use more healers"
This resto pot glitch is crazy im at level 164
Tip: after you have it all high % make a enchanting potion so it's a high % then use it and enchant a ring with increases alchemy so now you no longer need to do the potion stacking part cuz your alchemy ring will have 1000000% increase
Could I give the ring smithing instead?
@@uptightyui282 yes, same concept although i could never get the alchemy to work
This guy makes a lot of pauses but it's worth it cause he taught us how to break Skyrim.
I sat here doing it for 10 minutes before I remembered I had the Unofficial Patch installed.
LOL get rid of that.
If you have dawnguard dlc you can use yellow mountain flowers instead of fish an you can get a ton of the yellow mountain flowers in the ancestor glade
Bobby Derran Both are used in crafting the fortify resto potion, so I'm guessing it would replace both.
@Bobby Derran you can't dupe on 360 though so they're still a little helpful
@Bobby Derran hahaha same here, i wish i had been watching you tube when this game was released back in 2011 because apparently you could dupe back then on the 360
Mine gets stuck at 21% and then sometimes when I drink a potion again it will go down to 20% then go up to 21% etc but wont really go higher than 21%
Also I'm on pc and what I do is make the potion go into inventory drink it take armour off put it back on and repeat it
You are doing it correctly.
Other tutorials on this confused me, but I actually understand what you're doing in this video, thanks lol
Props on making a fantastic video, my dude. This is easily the best tutorial video I've watched on this.
I was really looking for something good to do with the Knife and Fork weapons, and it's definitely Absorb Health now. I can literally eat enemies!
LOL !!!!!!! That's awesome.
(On PS4)
Unfortunately my game is "messed up" & enchanting potions aren't working.
Here are a few tips:
1. For some reason it did not work if all 4 pieces of eqip have the same alchemy%, and
2. I am old (the only other ES game i have played is Daggerfall) and slow. If you find that you cannot get over the 188-206% or so level for a potion in the 60 second window, get your Alchemy up to 60 and get the next muliplier perk. That was all it took....
Is it mandatory to have 4 items of enchantment equipped? If yes, then that was the factor, that made it not work for me on Ps4
The Mad Clown God I didn’t put it in because it takes a while to get all the claws. I made this more for people just starting from the beginning.
Great video, you explain it much better than those in other videos. Still works September 2019 on PC version I just bought on Steam. Thanks!
Still works in December 2020
Awesome guide!
A fish and a salt? That’s a Russian breakfast
We'r makin' dinnar out here lmao
Also if you have the DLC you can raise fish if you build in Windstad Manor
MrBlogHater which DLC? I only have the Legendary disc that included the Dawngaurd, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. Where is this Manor? I did not know of this. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
Hearthfire is the one that lets you build houses. Windstad Manor is in between the Blue Palace ,Dawnstar and Morthal. You need to help the yarl in Morthal and she will let you buy the plot of land to build on.
MrBlogHater thanks for the info. I'll never get tired of this game. I love creating characters.
Still works as of August 2019 thanks for the guide man good job.
This resto pot is crazy im at level 164
Absolutely I refer to it as "Leap Frogging" in other videos.
I can watch my potion percentage rise, but zero effect to the alchemy accessories. I also need to alternate how much gear I have on to see any jumps. Still, these have zero effect to the fortify alchemy gear. Have not been able to work around that.
the way i did the glitch, was that i unequipped all the alchemy gear before drinking restoration potion, and then put them all on again
That works too. As long as it gets but back on after you drink the potion, It should work.
*it works in Skyrim VR patch 1.04 as of 8/7/2018 on the PS4.*
Tewthpaste Hey tewthpaste do you have any issues after you reset alchemy. I reset mine and now loop stays at 4%?
Okay that's what I figured, thanks!
But what is the point? What is it accomplishing? Making restoration armor? Making good potions?
Also if the potion that you sell is worth a large amount it will level up your speech too.
MrBlogHater Bingo.
I've been having some issues. My enchantment won't go higher, even after making another set of enchanted gear.

Also make sure you are not using the unofficial patch (mod).
It’s 22 September, 2018 and it STILL WORKS :) I crashed my game too lmao
If you make the potions too powerful the game gives up and shuts down. LOL
Yeah, I just wanted to see how high I could go before my game took a shit lmao
I made one last night that was 1.85 Billion and I instantly got a blue screen. LOL
Do you have to have those specific items with the alchemy enchantment or can you just put the alchemy enchantment on any bracers and what not?
Mine is not working on the Xbox one special edition. No mods. The restoration potions are not affecting my gears stats.
Any help?
Do you have 4 perks in the Alchemy tree? What the percentages of each of the 4 pieces of gear you are wearing?
@@MrBlogHater 3/5 on first and one in the next two.
Percentages are 3, 7, 11, and 17
That 17 should really help.
Do you have the USLEEP patch downloaded?
I was having trouble with this glitch, as my fortify resto potions wouldn't get above 80%. Thank you for letting me know that I needed the perks, although it will take a while for me to get 4 or 5 perk points since I'm level 53 lol.
It won't take you as long as you think. I made a 2019 Duplication Glitch video that will show you how to get more ingredients than you'll know what to do with.
I'll have to check that out thanks and thanks for replying on such an old video
I don't get the option for creating that potion how do you unlock it?
You must have the ingredients for the potion to create it. If you have the ingredients and have not eaten them to see what potion they can make just click on the ingredients and make a new potion and from then on the quick list will appear.
Thank you for the clear instruction
doesnt work on ps4, ive been trying for 1 hour and i cant get past 120% for the potion and the items i wear go up by 1% and then stay at 17% and dont move
You can also try "Leap Frogging". Get your Restoration potion as high as you can and then make several(at least 4) Enchanting potions. Then go Enchant new Alchemy gear at a higher level than what you current gear is at. This way takes a bit longer but the results are the same.
Ohh boy literally just had to make the first alchemy a 3 instead of a 2
Got everything to 1 Mill and it crashed 😂 made the sensible decision and took everything to 100k
Thanks boss great guide RESPECT!
@@LycanInShadows Glad that you stuck with it. Now you can play Skyrim like never before.
I literally have been wasting time doing the enchanting/alchemy loop and after hours of work I have only 28% on all four pieces...
I wish I could have saved myself time from harvesting all of those grand souls from mammoths -.-
I play on the hardest difficulty setting too, so even with wicked strong glass armor on me and my follower it still took awhile to take ‘em down.
I won’t break enchanting/alchemy over the normal cap... I’m just taking a quicker, less mind numbing, shortcut. I still want the challenge. :p
James Steinbrecher If you want more Grand Soul Gems you can do the duplication glitch.
Do you have the unofficial patch installed?(if you don't, good don't do it)
MrBlogHater I’m on PlayStation, thanks for the tips I did just figure out I wasn’t doing it fast enough 😂
March 2019. I can’t get it to work. It just keeps bouncing back and forth between 12% and 13% alchemy
@@MrBlogHater why though
@@Tezzer37 It uses game mechanics. Patching it would require changing the Game Mechanics.
Trying to get ingredients is killing me
I made a 2019 video showing how to do the duplication glitch and it still works. You'll have more ingredients than you know what to do with. Also a good way to sell stuff for coin.
I can't refil the enchantment pls help asap
@@ebinnisti1769 that's weird the alchemy enchantment works for me I used it to make more potions after I realized I didn't make enough to last a long time lol I can make them forever now
NOTE FOR EVERYONE: THE SKYRIM UNOFFICIAL PATCH PATCHES THIS SO YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CHANGE IT WITH THIS EXPLOIT!
That is not correct! I did it Friday June 22nd, 2018. It still works. This was put in the game by the creators on purpose.
Chaos I have to agree with you it didn’t work for me with the unofficial patches.
To fix it just disable all the unofficial patches and your good to go that’s what I did
MrBlogHater its obviously a problem with the patch mod since it’s the only thing I have disabled and suddenly it works
TY!!!!! Was wondering why it wasn't working. I hate it when Modders make things worse, not better... Maybe we LIKE exploits!!! lol.
I have nothing in alchemy would it still work but just really slow, or would it not work at all
It "may" work without alchemy perks but you would need thousands of ingredients and it would take forever. There is an Alchemy trainer in Whiterun by the well.
Technically you only need to do this once to get godly stuff. Just enchant two things with fortify enchanting and fortify smithing and you won't have to see a spadetail or small pearl ever again.
Note that I said you never have to. You may still need them in the future.
um there actually is no fortify enchating enchantment so best to make fortify smithing and fortify alchemy
I'am stuck in 21%
When I make a potion it go back to 20% ...
I have the fist 2 perks in alchemist and the other 2 and still can't go higher than 21%
Speed is key.
@@MrBlogHater
Thanks man, it work!
You have a place in sovngarde.
Gave it a try last night. Confirmed that this works, although the over hyped gear ruins a toon.
This is a really good guide but here is what I've learned :
Don't get any of you armor pieces over 1000% ( you can get it a little over but not alot ) because if you want to make anything it will 99% crash Skyrim , so don't do that .
krux3nn ftw do you know we’re I could find the enchanted amour?
@@titandreads2583 I know that this is an old comment but to find armor to disenchant then use the Dawnstar Chest Exploit. You'd need to enchant your own gear afterwards, but once again, DSCE. You could also pickpocket an old lady in Dawnstar for her ring, but the success rate is really low if you're just starting the game.
Aetherium aye bruh i found one quite a while a go but thanks for answering tho much appreciated
Really appreciate the time you took to do this thanks!
Otaku D I think its patched
Laggy McQuacky it is, I been try this for a couple of days and it still doesn't work, I'm on 100 on alchemy and my gear already have an enchantment of 31% for creating potions
I've been thinking about it and can't u create a fortify enchanting potion with your best alchemy gear, drink it and enchant better alchemy mixing gear? for example say your gear makes 29% better potions. drink the fortify enchanting potion, put on your best enchanting gear to make 33% better alchemy potions? and repeat the process until your looking for the right stats? it seems like you'll need alot of great soul gems and items to enchant but in theory I think it can work
I don't know the recipe for enchanting by memory but the goal is to focus on raising your enchanting potions gear
You can start from a really high percentage.
or make a OP fortify enchantment potion with which you can make a single piece of OP fortify alchemy equipment
still works on ps4, just make sure you don’t have Unofficial skyrim patch mod on.
Many thanks it’s a well explained tutorial. I love these little tricks of the trade that give us a reason to discuss the game and feel that we have made good progress at the same time! 😍
Works just fine but my game crashes every time I pick an enchantment after drinking a fortify enchanting potion
You just keep going and power through it. It will take off faster than you think with big jumps.
MrBlogHater i made 30 resto pots with 4 pieces if fortify alchemy gear and only got up to 222% :|
@@mahn3580 there's a few way to go from here. 1)You can just keep going, 2)You can stop there and make at leas 4 Fort. Enchanting potions and create new Alchemy gear at a higher level, 3) You can up your Alchemy perk from 2/5 Alchemist to 3/5 Alchemist.
MrBlogHater i think I’ll try upgrading alchemist and if that doesn’t work I’ll just make more alchemy gear
Im stuck at 4% and i followed to a t. Dont k ow if this a glitch but cannot make a potion over 4 points at all.

My game crashes when I go to enchant something
Your Enchanting level is to high. It's most likely shutting down and giving you the blue screen. Try a less powerful enchantment.
Yeah I tried doing it and my enchanting was at 17 and it still crashes...
Is your perk tree at 17 or the level of your Enchanting potion at 17?
my perk tree, i wiped my save data via games and apps on xbox and have started a new save. A lot of people were telling me my save files might be corrupt. I'll try doing it again soon.
P.S On the first character I did it on it worked no problems, its just that another one that i created afterwards didn't budge.
Let me know if you have any problems with your new character.
Does anyone know why I get multiple potions sometimes? It messes up the whole process and makes the numbers start to go down..
@@IPayForUA-cam Yep, it's the pressure switch under the button in the controller.
MrBlogHater Nope. I figured it out. It’s Sinderion’s Serendipity; a gift for completing the crimson nirnroot quest. It has a 25% chance to create a second potion.
@@IPayForUA-cam That's good to know that it's not a controller that you'll have replace at $50-60. LOL
Doesn't work on PS4 as of October 2019. Potions don't get above 100%, alchemy gear doesn't get above 25%
It does still work I just did it Saturday October 26, 2019. PS4 regular and PS4 Pro with the Legendary Edition. Try upping your Alchemist Perk from 2/5 to 3/5.
it worked for me today on the PS4 Pro
Liar
Try a different table.
still work on march 3, 2019?
Zachary Couey yes doing it now lol
Mine is too strong it turns off everytime
It's test of self restraint to not go overboard. You want it powerful enough but not so strong that it will crash your game. LOL
the name is enough for me to subscribe.
My buffs seem to be capped on PS4. Playing vanilla with all the updates installed. Did it get patched?
Doctor Dex I had the same problem, I'm assuming it gets stuck on 10-16% on the restoration potions right? It will stay like that for around 10 times strangely, it will begin to increase normally again afterwards dw
No patch. It hits a plateau for a bit and then the jumps really start going.
Pro tip: you can equip a falmer helmet and a circlet at the same time, both with fortify alchemy. With 5 pieces of +25% alchemy it only took me 3 resto potions to become OP
I did think that was possible. I'll def. try it after work today.
MrBlogHater I also had necromage vampire benefits which might’ve speed it up too
Anyone saying you need points in alchemy, its bogus completely viable without. Comparatively works about the same speed as in the video. Granted I paused once and came back my values skyrocketed (actually gamebreaking levels).
I'm so confused. I don't see where you see this 1200 or any of these numbers you're saying.
I tried that glitch and it works fine, what's bothering me is where can I find that place? I mean it has an alchemy and enchanting tables.
HATE hes doing the glitch in dragonsreach where the mage is
Doge coin oh... thanks!
The insane enchantments doesn't last forever
Only untill the potion runs out, or if I fast travel. Any help?
The Enchantment should last forever when you enchant a piece of gear. Which piece of gear are you enchanting and with what enchantment?
Man, my game crashes when i try to make the updated enchanting potions, And when not crashes for that it crashes when i try to enchant someting (I just wanna sick damage one handed sword)
Edit: Nevermind, i just realized that i shouldn't make the potion *THAT* strong
LOL that's what I was going to tell you. To kill a dragon with one hit you only need a weapon with around 150 hit points. Several years ago you could make a sword with 1 million hit points but what's the point really when 150 will do. Happy gaming.
@@MrBlogHater Hey, it worked, But the enchanting was temporal, what i did wrong?
@@28stabwounder-69 once you get your Restoration potion to the level that you want you have to make an enchanting potion. Then go to the Enchanting table drink the enchanting potion and make the item that you want. **NOTE** the Enchanting potion only lasts for 30 seconds. So you need to know what enchantment you are going to put on which item before you start.
@@MrBlogHater Alright, thank you
Still works? And were are good spots to find alchemy gear?
Why do I level up so slowly? Compared to you mine is about 1/4 speed to yours, what the heck?
I had 3/5 Alchemist in stead of 2/5 in the Alchemy Perk. The more you have the faster it goes. Also the higher level all 4 pieces of your Alchemy gear are will also make it go faster.
MrBlogHater oh wow now its fast I feel like a complete idiot now lol, thanks
It's no problem. We all had to start somewhere.
it works once but then after the first potion it just stays at the original potions % and doesnt go up
any help
I've found these are common hang ups people have. make sure you have all of the nessessary Alchemy tree perks. Make sure you have Four (4) pieces of Alchemy gear(each should be between 6-12%). When creating potions you need to drink them and take your gear of and then put it back on as fast as you possibly can.
you guys know about the gloves that give 10% better damage for using fist. What if you use it for that with this glitch you can have the right to yell ONE PUUUUUNNNNCH :)
Yes, If you disenchant them and then use the glitch you can one punch a dragon.
Based Pugilist Gloves.
Does it still work on special edition newer consoles?
It does on PS4 and PS4 Pro.
MrBlogHater Xbox too?
My created potion more powerful enchant doesn't go up with the first fortify resto pot
Only the Restoration potion will go up. Once you have a level that you are happy with for a Restoration potion drink that and then make a bunch of Enchanting potions. The only way the Enchanting will go up is if you make a new higher Restoration potion.
im tryna do this but i understand nothing of alchemy, its like actual school stuff
LOL. 2 easy ways to up your Alchemy are 1) Pay a trainer(there's one in Whiterun near the well), 2) Just make a bunch of crap potions. If you need ingredients it helps to use the duplication glitch.
Does it still work 2019???
Phillip Sells Yes, I’ve also made some 2019 videos.
MrBlogHater thx so much I’ll have to try it out when I get the chance and gonna check out some more of ur vids
@@suurim_1392 dupe glitch still works as well
you missed this opportunity @2:28 : 2 wings per butterfly, that's a "wing wing"
LOL
i can confirm this still works for xbox one remastered edition
Carolyn did you have the same perks and gear as this guy?
Dan Man yes but my armor enchantments for brewing better potions were at 12% but it doesn’t matter regardless, it will always work at any % but only if you have the right perks
Everytime I try to enchant I get blue screen and forced to restart game.. and I did manage to make a item of over a million percent fortify alchemy though, would i need to make one that's less?
a Million os too much for the game to handle. Try bringing it down closer to 100 thousand. For weapons you can one hit kill a dragon at around 200.
Wait what do I do after I get my stuff up? How to I make my armor better after this?
Once you get your potion where you want it you then make a bunch of Fort. Enchanting potions. Then go to and Enchanter and drink a potion and create a weapon or whatever you want. Remember the Enchanting potions only last for 30 seconds so you have to know what you want to make before you drink it.
I have never had an issue until I have tried this on the switch today .
I personally do not have one, I've been told by several people that it worked on the Switch.
MrBlogHater I'm just curious if it still works. Because I've used this allot on ps4 and I know I am doing it correct
Yes I just did it this past weekend 10/04/2018 on PS4.
hey guy's I just found my old ps3 and started my old skyrim savegame and there I did the glitch to boost my health in billions the problems is I can't unequip it without insta dying any ideas how to get out of this because I really want to get the platinum trophy (don't say look for older saves or start a new game pls)
@@MrBlogHater ok I'll try that! thanks for the reply
Do you have to disable MODS before doing this???
No you don't have to.
I did it with less than 30 a piece
Q: does this work on the Nintendo switch?
I do not personally have one but I have been told by one of my sub's that yes it does work with it.
Im finding these amazing glitches that i dont even need but look soo fun to do now that i cant play skyrim 😭😭😔
Have you joined the ps4 community for skyrim theres like 180k players in it.. maybe i can put a link in there you can blow up helping those people bcuz the mods are fun but they crash the game terribly or corrupt saves doin these glitches are less likely to crash game
No I haven't joined it. Mods are fun but you're right they crash A LOT.
Still works as of 3/31/19 on Xbox one!
I did it this weekend 3/31/2019 on both PS4 and PSVR with the update and it still works.
I’m on Xbox one special edition, it works till 13% more powerful then it starts to go down then up to 13 and so on. Any advice?
You can up your Alchemy tree to 3/5 Alchemy. There is an alchemy trainer in Whiterun near the well. You can also try to leapfrog, by getting your Alchemy potion as high as you can and then making Enchanting potion and then creating a higher % of new Alchemy gear.
Thank you for the quick reply but I managed to fix the loop by getting 2/5 alchemy instead of 1/5 and do the glitch. But thanks for the fast response and great video.
While it works for the restoration potion, for some reason the enchantment potion wont go any higher than 10%
That is very strange. How high did you let your Restoration potion get?
MrBlogHater, ill keep trying👍
Make sure to save before you do it. that way if it doesn't work then you haven't wasted your ingredients.
