So far i was getting range bout 2 milles from my apartment to my friend house in small city but lot of static and once we both moving around we got a good signal . How can i increase the quality n range. My radios have the original antennas. If i put longer antennas will the range be better or what is better the smaller antennas or long. My radios are cp200 UHF

No, that is not something that you can change. Two way radios are typically either UHF or VHF although there are some that can do both.
