Apple is the last Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy left from Bootsie's litter - and she goes on her first shopping trip! Also, a sneak peek at Lizzie's new litter.
At age 72 and living on SS and no longer working - I could not afford one of these wonderful puppies. But I have learned alot from watching your vids with each litter. It is very nice to see all the love and care you give to all of your dogs and puppies as the mature. You do what any good parent does for and to their child - all the rights and good behavior that make for good well adjusted puppies to go to their forever homes.
I love watching your puppies and momma's, aunt's and so on, I acquired a 7 year old male who had been used as a breaker until he was 5, and he wasn't treated special like your babies are he was so afraid of everything the folk that had him for a couple of years lived him but didn't have the time he needed spent with him he and I are good buddies in the almost 6 months he is still afraid of most people and all loud noise. I love him dearly I'm a widow so he gets all of my attention. Keep giving us Jamba and apple shows I love them and watch Jamba's first puppy show over and over. God bless.

Apple is a quick study on leaf-chewing skills, it looks like Jamba is going to be an influence on her. By the way, Jamba is growing into a really beautiful dog.
Home Depot is great for those of us in Arizona when it is 110 outside! Air-conditioned and welcoming to dogs. A favorite place when doing obedience & service dog task training for my boy! Apple is a sweetie -Bootsie and Lizzie are such good Mamas! Great to see Jamba and the new litter as well!
Does Apple have all her shots or are you just doing “socializing” where possible? I get my puppy in Oct and have been researching places i can take her while she is waiting to finish her shots..being carried only of course just to get used to being out in the big wide world!
She is not fully vaccinated yet - only had the 1st shot. Until the 3rd shot, we don't allow her close contact with other dogs, and we don't allow her to sniff where other dogs may have peed or pooped. But it's not too early to give her some good socialization experiences.
The black hair always grows faster than than the white. As a result, with Tricolors, any white patches tend to grow smaller as the dog grows. Apple's blaze is still there, but it's much smaller and narrower.
Did you get any footage of Bootsy’s litter reacting to the newest litter?? I am so curious how these puppies close in age react together. Also, at what point does Bootsy not really feel protective mother feelings for Summer/ Apple? When does the energy become more like another dog rather than mother and puppy? So curious about this.
Bootsie's litter has been going through crate training, so they did not have the opportunity to wander over to the whelping box to see the new puppies. Pretty soon, Apple will begin to have just a little bit of freedom, and she will get to see them close up. The mothering instinct continues for months, but it changes from protective to teaching. It's a gradual transition.
@@chaskat35 For this reason you believe the pup should stay with the mother for “as long as possible” so she can teach? Or you think the new owner really does need to step in at 10 weeks - 12 weeks? It’d break my heart taking them away from their mother when she’d love to keep mothering them.
Yes to your first question, but the puppies do just fine on their own after 10 weeks. In a home where they are the only dog, they will simply become attached to the humans - which of course is what the people want.
Yes - as soon as she progresses with crate training enough to be trusted loose in the family area for a while, she will be able to walk right up to the whelping box.
