American Toffee chiming in. Love the podcast! Just put on headphones and the new audio setup sounds great, very clean. Well done. 👍🏼 On transfers, I think we need to inject some pace into the team so we can sustain a press for 90 minutes.
We absolutely need new signings! Look at the difference our subs made to the game! We need to strengthen desperately and given that Moyes has a 2.5yr deal, at least the signings would be picked by him and coached by him too.
We need a midfielder who is comfortable on the ball. Good technical ability. Someone who can handle pressure and has confidence. A type like Arteta or Gravesen. We are missing this kind of player.
No point in bringing anyone in if they're not in long term plans, we've got 12+ players out of contract that will need replacing, if they're not an improvement on what's leaving keep that powder dry!
cmon never heard of new manager bounce? usually lasts a few matches before they revert to the way they usually play. We have been here so many decades now....players play for new contracts and then when they have them, they continue to play shite as always. Nope we need better players as quickly as possible. It is a bottom 6 side simple as that. 12-15 place hahaha some fans are completely delusional.
No LB... We'll get a better option in June when promotion & relegation are decided. Harrison & McNeill can play LWB & we have lots of options to play a back three. Loads of right backs. We might only have Garner & Iroegbunam in midfield by June, so I'd be looking at a CDM. We also need pace up front - right winger or support striker - plus we may need #9 if we get a great offer for Beto.
Ben chillwell is a bench warmer no thanks bad enough having no goals in two yrs sicknote broja he needs sending back to chelsea to rot and we should bring back Richardson on loan
Tony talking absolute rubbish again about Moyes doing due diligence on his signings he had just as many failures first time round as successes. Signed problem players like Drenthe & Van De Meyde when no one else in Europe would touch them, what happened to his due diligence there?
Drenthe was a loan when we had no money to make signings. Bad character but contributed enough that season. VdM flopped but was a coup at the time for around £1.5m. I’m not the biggest Moyes fan, but it’s just outright wrong to say he had as many failures as successes. Cahill, Baines, Jagielka, Lescott, Mirallas, Fellaini, Coleman, Howard, Yobo, Distin, Pienaar, Arteta (I could go on…) all great signings and fantastic value for money.
Ben Chilwell is on £200k a week. Unless he’s willing to take £150k drop in salary and we’d have to either buy him outright, or loan him with the return of Broja
We won't get Ben. Mate. Cash wages to much needs drop to under 100k we been trying get her high wages books years. We won't go there again two high earner be leaving free end season

Great listening to Tony and Ian. Make this a regular weekly pairing please 👍🏻

@Ian Sun Tzu Art of War - almost strengthen from a position of strength
I’d drive Keane wherever he wants to go. Shocking defender Richarlison goal case in point. He watched him literally walk behind him and tap in
So the dyche fit mentally was a myth..
Big shout out to Steve the toffee from Newmarket

Well without the points deduction we would have finished 12th last season. So 12th to 15th isn't unrealistic.

Gana was relegated with Aston Villa
Brighton "high line" now that's some out of date information..
Evertonians are silly if they think after one win we are out of the mess
Why not save money and throw keane into midfield hes clearly not a defender but knows how to score

@@Mike12849spot on. He had bad signings as every manger will have but his hits far outweigh the misses

We are not going to pay him 150k a wk when we won't pay dcl less than that he can rot at chelsea we need t send broja back there
@@markdunne7583don't want him need to sign attacking players
@ I’m suggesting £150k drop in wages. I wouldn’t pay him anywhere close to £150k a week
