This is definitely up there with the Ernie Adams episode. This is the shows for enjoying how special the players were on those “second dynasty” teams while Ernie Adams’ episode is how things worked & great coaching type knowledge. Both are amazing.

As a Bostonian, old enough to remember all the great 60s Celtics teams, late 60s Bruins teams, the pride filled 2x loser Pats teams pre-2001, and the 2004 Sox teams. We can never, as geographic bragging rights sport fans ever express our gratitude to the likes of Jules, and Mathew. They were part of a slice of history in our appreciation as hometown pride . Bird, Russell, Yaz, Big Papi, Orr, Esposito, in the annals of our fan appreciation of sports history will always be remembered, Brady, & Belichicks names will always go down in appreciation as Edelman, Slater, and all the other players, coaches, players, and organizations that made our little neck of the planet so happy in rooting for, for all these years
I agree mostly, but you left out Fisk, Tek, Pedro, Clemens, Rice, Gostkowski, Vinatieri, and all the other players not as memorable, but still all time greats in the same category as Slate and Jules to everyone not Boston& used Yaz, Papi, Bird& the most common Boston names out there.

When Matthew mentioned meetings with Joe Judge Jr., I smiled. I played with his father the late great Joe Judge Sr at Temple University in 1973. He took this young 18 year old under his wing an made me grow the fuck up. He was fun. Him and Rod Smith(another great guy who took me under his wing) came an visited me when I transfered to Kutztown University. It was the time of streaking. Needless to say, oh boy,what fun! I miss him an smile when I think of him.

Slater was THE GUY that made younger athletes me included (when I was still playing) look at special teams differently and play special teams with the same intensity u would on offense or defense, and for that thank you slatter for making people not give up on the sport just because they were on special teams

As a 5 decades+ Pats fan, The 20 + years of the TB12, Bill B was just a treat. There were some dark days when I was sitting in the Old Foxboro/Shaefer/Sullivan Stadium wondering if the team ever became good, and then a miracle happened and Bob and wonderful Myra Kraft bought the team, and 6 Superbowl victories followed.

This SB was a Belichick masterpiece. The game was won with defense, special teams, and a battle of field position. Edelman deserved MVP for sure but the way the game was played it felt like it could have been a Slater/Ryan Allen Co-MVP.
As a falcons fan I always loved watching Jules play and compete every week, except when he got that catch against us in the super bowl. Another thing is Edelman is one of the purest humans alive. One of my best friends works at the barber shop Karo in Cranston RI. Jules even got Karo the barber account for them to cut the Patriots players and staff during the season. Jules will always be one of my favorite players even tho I hate the patriots and I’m from Rhode Island

As a 5 decades+ Pats fan, The 20 + years of the TB12, Bill B was just a treat. There were some dark days when I was sitting in the Old Foxboro/Shaefer/Sullivan Stadium wondering if the team ever became good, and then a miracle happened and Bob and wonderful Myra Kraft bought the team, and 6 Superbowl victories followed.
I love how Jules brings on every type of player and person and doesnt just chase those big names... podcasts like these are always the better ones when its genuine guys

This SB was a Belichick masterpiece. The game was won with defense, special teams, and a battle of field position. Edelman deserved MVP for sure but the way the game was played it felt like it could have been a Slater/Ryan Allen Co-MVP.
Ryan Allen's punts during that game were unbelievable. I have to re-watch it now.

As a falcons fan I always loved watching Jules play and compete every week, except when he got that catch against us in the super bowl. Another thing is Edelman is one of the purest humans alive. One of my best friends works at the barber shop Karo in Cranston RI. Jules even got Karo the barber account for them to cut the Patriots players and staff during the season. Jules will always be one of my favorite players even tho I hate the patriots and I’m from Rhode Island
