Gorgeous house Becca, so happy for you. That mat is called a ‘wear well’ mat and like you say it is SO practical. Maybe not the best looking but honestly keep it, it is a godsend when it’s wet, muddy, snowy etc & will protect your lovely flooring xx

Congratulations! In the main bath I would put a full length mirror behind the door and do some custom shelving or a cabinet above the toilet for product storage! You could do something with a door if you want to keep the products more hidden.

Tile that bit at the front door instead of the mat, itll look amazing with some really pretty tiles and easy to keep clean from dirty shoes

@@BeccaRose maybe look at like the vinyl sticker type "tiles" you can get on amazon as a cheaper alternative? My mum used some to stick over her old ugly kitchen tiles and they look great

You could make the bit under the stairs into a little reading corner if you had like a bespoke book case that fits in the space ☺️ with a little chair and cushions it would look really cute x

Becca you can get really simple modern rad covers, they are great in the hallway, they make it look modern and you can put a trinket dish on top for your keys etc, they also just finish off a room. We didn’t want the expense of changing all our radiators so covered them. Plain white, looks fab. I love your new house and can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Becca, the house is really lovely and you seem so grateful for it. You should be proud to be able to own your own home. In regards to a mirror in the bathroom, you can get those shaving mirrors that you attach on the inside of the window and it will pull out (bit hard to explain!).

At the entrance, you could get tiles and it would probably be better for when there is a lot of rain or snow/mud (not sure if there is a lot of snow in the UK).
For the main bathroom, you could have a freestanding round mirror on the windows ledge until you figure out a better solution. The space above the toilet would be good for shelves so you have storage for your products, towels etc.
The space underneath the stairs is a tricky one, you could do inbuilt storage, either with or without doors. Its probably something you can figure out after living in the house for a while, so you don't waist your money on something your unsure about.

Hey Becca, I never comment on UA-cam videos but seeing you buy a house with Tom made me so happy for you. I’ve been watching your videos since I was 12 in your Voussontbeauetbelle days in 2011. I’ve always admired your perseverance and your determination and have always says you would achieve amazing things in life and you have. When you said the Harry Potter quote regarding happiness in darkest times it really resonated with me and made me love the quote more. When you took your break, did your hauls, got Rupert and moved out, and all the things in between, I watched it all and I am so happy for you. Omg so many ideas! I keep commenting before watching the whole thing! (So beware there may be another comment somewhere!) Right bathroom ..add another shelf or 2 above the toilet then you can get one of those little extending mirrors that screw to the wall .
Or put on on the back of the door if feasible..also! Love the colour palette...if you thinking about white rooms have you thought about painting the skirtings in a colour (so navy or blush) then having white walls? Any potentially a feature door? It looks STUNNING! Finally have a little gander at frenchic (or Frenchchic) paint they are website only but have beautiful colours and they have paints where you can paint on wood/metal/upvc etc and they are all non toxic and heavy duty. The small pots are great for doing doors you literally need the smallest amount!

We made under the stairs a cloak cupboard for our every day coats shoes and bags. We closed it off with a wall and door. I am so happy for you guys.

My house has a mat at the front door and it’s not as big as yours, but I wouldn’t be without it! It was already in the house but it has made such a diff to the crap dragged in on shoes lol. Congratulations on your new home xxx

Becca, you could solve the bathroom storage and mirror problem by putting a little cupboard/cabinet onto the wall with shelves inside for your skincare, that also has a mirrored front!

Such a beautiful house! For the bathroom you could put mirror above the toilet and get under sink storage that slots in, or change the sink to one with vanity unit but that would be a bit more expensive! X
Please don't put the keys near the door, it's easy for burglars to get them through the letterbox. A thought for under your stairs, can you have doors put in so you have a place for storing your hoover, mop and shoes etc

Your house is gorgeous. Congratulations. We have that mat by our front door and it's a godsend. How about a kitchen table that has bench style seating to fit around the wall following on from the chalkboard wall. In the bathroom, a cabinet above the loo and a stand alone mirror on the sill behind the sink. Our bathroom has exactly the same issue, my other half pinches my vanity mirror for behind the sink. Can't wait to see what you do to the place ☺️ xx

Your house is beautiful congrats. But could you tell me the brand of cooker I love it.
The room where your bed will be, I think you need a super low profile bed frame to be able to wake up with those view, or will you not have bed frame at all?
I'd suggest some fitted cupboards under the stairs so if there is any clutter it won't show 💕💕 you could have them a navy and brass handle theme to match the kitchen 💞
Bench under the stairs with shoe storage would be amazing u can sit down and put shoes on before going out

Congratulations! What a lovely home 🏠. Just want to say regarding your bathroom beauty product storage. I have a lovely white narrow basket set of draws which slots in lovely between my sink and bath. I have a glass mirror on the top where my Elemis products go ( they look so nice and it’s easy accessibility!) The rest of my products go neatly in the draws. As for a mirror. I have a stand mirror on the windowsill which has a perfect light to do your makeup 👍🏼 Hope that helps x

Becca Rose your welcome lovely........ They have them in Argos. They’re just narrow little wicker draws but fit perfectly under a sink and can hold a deceiving amount! 👍🏼. The mirror I think I bought in the range. It’s for a dressing table to put your perfume and accessories on but makes a pretty and solid top for you products. 😁.....".Enjoy your home xx

The only thing that the chalkboard wall is quite known to do is have a ton of chalk dust gather on the floor over time! At my work we have a chalkboard wall and it gets so dusty and blurry over time, and we always have to clean up the fine dust on the ground :-(

Whatever you do, don’t polish those thresholds! I made that mistake and almost killed every member of my family! It makes them so slippery 😂
