Loving the progress so far, and it’s so nice to see a UA-camr being realistic about furnishing and decorating a house, instead of having beds, sofas, coffee tables etc. being gifted. It’s so much more relatable so thank you! We’ve been in our house for nearly 2 years now, and only done the living room so far, and now saving for a new bathroom!

1500?! Becca, my boyfriend and I painted our kitchen cabinets ourselves and changed the handles in two weekends. Take them all off, remove the handles if you want to change them or tape them up, sand the cupboards just a bit so the paint sticks better, do a primer, two coats of the colour and then a clear varnish to seal it on top. Screw them back on and done! Ours looks so good and cost us around £5o tops in painting supplies. Yes it's a bit of a faff and may take a few days when you're waiting around for coats to dry but it's so worth it.

The hall and lounge flooring looks great and I love the improvements you have already made. I think you are incredibly brave painting your thresholds brilliant white as I would worry about the practicality of keeping them looking this pristine (I’d be concerned they’d show up every scuff, mark or speck of dust). I love home and decorating vlogs and am really looking forward to seeing what you do next. Thank you for taking us on this journey with you lovely 💖

We had those child locks all over our kitchen. I warmed them up with a hairdryer for a few minutes to slightly loosen the adhesive then very carefully slipped a craft knife behind and sliced them off. Then I used 'sticky stuff remover' to get off the remaining adhesive. Takes a bit of time but you would never know I'd had them on now xx

I know the feeling of wanting to get it all done in one go but honestly, that’s rarely how it goes. No matter how much money you have (unless you’re one of them crazy YT people who can just do it but that’s not the norm.) you most likely won’t get it done so quickly. We’ve liked in out flat for almost three years now and it’s just a work in progress really. Also, you change your mind, you get ideas along the way and you learn how to do things. It’s a bummer to not go out and buy stuff right now but that’ll change and it’ll always stay exiting to buy new stuff, even three years on 💖 exited to see how it’ll all turn out! No matter how long that might take, that’s normal xxx

Your home looks lovely and doing a great job. It all takes time, it doesn't matter if it's your first home or your third. Have you thought about thrifting for your furniture and decor you will save so much money. Also you could do a barn door for your bedroom because the door slides side ways it wont take up any space coming into the room. Good luck with your journey and enjoy. 🙂

We are getting out kitchen done next week and I'm so excited! We ordered it in December but between finding a fitter/project manager and lockdown it's only happening now. We wanted a navy kitchen at the start but ended up getting grey as navy is very popular at the moment I just worry it would date the kitchen and in 10 years time it would look very 2019/2020. Grey is more timeless and we can just change the paint on the walls to update it.

Lucy W I understand your concerns, however 24 hours prior and 24 hours after the floor was put in we didn’t go to the new house so it was unoccupied - it was then cleaned, and there was only one workman and he assured us he would be wearing full PPE. We have had the keys nearly three months and are desperate to move in and so when we found an individual happy to do our floor and knew of my conditions we decided to go for it.
