This. This scene right here is the ultimate mood. The heart-searing pain of being played and lied to by someone, and something you so desperately had hopes and dreams for. Not only for a female, but life expectations, murdered hope for an empty future, and the inevitable realization that time only moves forward and will never take us back to the moments we were happiest
There is a kind of obscenity to, time, all those moments lost in time never to be reclaimed. Special things completely gone, never to be regained. I've though of it many times in my life.
@@huh8b7b27 she was setting guys up to be robbed and murdered by her boyfriend by claiming to be in an abusive relationship that she was trying to escape. She was basically scoping out Captain Save A Hoes to go in and try to buy her out of the bad situation she was in. The suckers she lured in would agree to meet the boyfriend to basically pay him off in drugs or money or both to get out of her life and instead of just taking the money he would murder them as well. Sonny went through a series of heartbreaks on the show, it was basically part of his DNA that every relationship he was in would fail in the most terrible ways. This one was particularly cruel to him though.
This scene taught me how to break up with girls on the beach without even saying a word! You just need a cool pair of Ray Ban Wayfarer and maybe a helicopter...
I watched it from first show to last show. On Friday night I would make sure that I was home to watch it. I have the picture album's soundtrack of the first 2 seasons. I watch when ever I can.
Ya Sunny ends up killing him he did a song Ted Nugent did in the beginning of the episode Angry Young Man he also did a song for the episode Little Miss dangerous
Back then everyone still know this show on tv now tv show is not fun anymore bad actors no history no much good today a really like the 70 and 80 show because it looks like something time real life storys
Holy wow. The swag and masculinity of Don Johnson is so attractive. He handled it like a man, even if it broke him inside. Today, you get beta smacked and called names for this.
its tough being a cop...like Crockett, i know when to walk away from a bad thing. Miami Vice was far too cool for its own good🏝 i liked Rico more anyway😂
Yet another scene confirming Miami Vice as one of the greatest TV series of all time.
Without a single word spoken, Sonny showed more masculine power in this one scene then 99.9999% of characters on tv today. Let that sink in….
Word
yes ! absolut !!
Absolutely, that’s the real alpha male right there. The way he puts his sunglasses on when the chick looks at him.
Sad but true
100% true.

👏👏👏
Well said. Perfectly encapsulates the way this song and this scene makes me feel.
This scene gets me everytime i felt Sonny's pain in this episode even 35 years later it still gets me choked up like it did in 1985😢
Miami Vice Art Director for the color schemes and fashion, was sublime...
I 💗 Michael Mann and Don Johnson
There is a whole documentary on this and how Miami fought against the series...and it was a boon for business in Miami!!!

Sometimes when the wife is not home, I put on my blazer and shade and walk outside to my garden and play the song . 🎵
The gold standard of television
Sonny did the right thing. Even if it makes him wanna cry inside.😢
Yep he did
What happened exactly?

Spectacular!! Don Johnson is just as fantastic today as he was then. And this song was pure perfection for this episode. 👏🏻
She went down still trying to use her charms. Such a great scene and a great show.
What a fantastic but underrated song Godley and Creme were members of a top English band in the 70's called 10cc.
Gives me chills

This scene taught me how to break up with girls on the beach without even saying a word!
You just need a cool pair of Ray Ban Wayfarer and maybe a helicopter...
coolest tv series
When a scene can invoke emotion without having to explain itself, that is what a masterpiece looks and sounds like.
I love Crockett 😎
This gives me butterflies

the 1980's.....when men were men. Michael Mann thank you and thanks for "Collateral" too, 20 years later. You understand mood!
I remember this ep. I always liked that song.
Nothing says 80s cool like Sonny Crockett's Ray Bans. I had quite a few pairs. Even wore them at night.

One of my favorite episodes of Miami Vice; Ted Nugent's character catches karma.

@@robertmetzger1753 Yep he did this one . Ted helped make it a memorable one . One of the best episodes .
This single scene summarize what "film noir" means. Miami Vice is the epitome of this genre.

Arielle Dombasle's sunny miami moment !
Sonny just never had any luck with women. The one he had it made with ended up being murdered.
❤

One person doesn’t like Ted Nugent. I’m sure that number will rise as of 12-25-2020.
Ted Nugent!!!Rocks!!!!!!!!!That dude is Awsome Guitar Player!!!
Crawford, Texas!
I hate Ted Nugent, but I can admit that he did a good job in this episode.
Sam Spade would have given her a long speech before turning her over.

Feeling an awful lot of pain and sorrow for Callie. She didn't deserve what she got :(
Callie was in on the whole thing. Check out her sand castles.
In the Eighties they'd send a helicopter to arrest you. Good times

and that ass was dangerous so
they brought in the chopper.

So many years have passed and I’ve never truly forgiving Sonny for what transpired here 😡😢
It wasn't Sonny's fault. She was the one playing him.
Almost a fairy tale romantic ending. Almost.
high impact detonation
Dear Sonny,
These Shoes Ain't Loyal.

Not sure why they’d need a helicopter to effect this arrest but 🤷🏻♂️
Typical woman always hustling. Loyalty is not a value...Great episode
Thot patrolled.
A lot to be said for just walking away.
