We’re members of an FSSP parish that we dearly love.
Nonetheless, it is a fact that without Abp. Lefebvre’s heroic action, our parish would have never existed. Indeed, the Mass may have been lost forever.
We all owe a great debt to Lefebvre.
And remember that the FSSP was created in just 18 days after the ordenations of the bishops by Lefebvre. Isn't suspicious that in a short time a new order appears?
When regular orders take months os even years to get approval from Rome. FSSP WAS the dam for faithful that wanted to go to the SSPX

The Society not only prevailed over the machinations and maneuvering of the Modernist weasels, who lied, deceived and gave the saintly Archbishop the run around, but has gone beyond to now be present in many countries and is flourishing with vocations. History has vindicated the prescience, forethought and vision of Archbishop Lefevbre. A true Catholic hero and saint for the ages. God bless the SSPX!

@@eugeniovincenzo1621 time has shown the hand of the modernists. In stalling the archbishop, they made him a saint. When the modernists are excommunicated, he will be canonized. You can be sure his actions have saved the church against the Bishop Barron types.
I'm moving more and more towards attending the SSPX chapel about an hour away from my house. The modernists are destroying the lion's share of the Church. SSPX has become an island of peace and hope in a hurricane.
Just do it. Even the not so traditional Catholic Answers says you fulfill your Mass obligation. I began attending an SSPX chapel and it has done wonders in teaching me to take a far more serious approach to my faith.

My question is, do you know the reason why SSPX is not affected by what the Pope says? It is because SSPX is outside the Church. It is not a part of the Catholic Church. It is in schism.
In Pope Francis' letter, dated July 16, 2021, that accompanies Traditionis Custodes, he specifically mentioned SSPX to be in "schism." Here's the 2nd paragraph, fully quoted:
"Most people understand the motives that prompted St. John Paul II and Benedict XVI to allow the use of the Roman Missal, promulgated by St. Pius V and edited by St. John XXIII in 1962, for the Eucharistic Sacrifice. The faculty - granted by the indult of the Congregation for Divine Worship in 1984 and confirmed by St. John Paul II in the Motu Proprio Ecclesia Dei in 1988 - was above all MOTIVATED BY THE DESIRE TO FOSTER THE HEALING OF THE SCHISM WITH THE MOVEMENT OF MONS. LEFEBVRE. With the ecclesial intention of restoring the unity of the Church, the Bishops were thus asked to accept with generosity the “just aspirations” of the faithful who requested the use of that Missal."

You mean the Church of Barrabbas they trained under SSPX then a group decided to split and keep the property. SSPX totally saved the true Mass Christ's Jewish Passover.
Scripture tells us Shortly after the Jews gain Israel the Perpetual Sacrifice will be removed and the Abomination of Desolation replaced therin then comes the end of time for the Gentiles. He promised His Church will remain until end of time. There is end time for most Gentiles and eventually an end for the Jews. Rome will be demolished so He doesn't allow His Church to be Nucleared His Church is a Group of Priests holding His Death Prayers The Tridentine. A Subsidiary Novus Ordo Church has been installed by Imposters and Apostates and Hirelings. Wake up God has arranged this because most Catholics don't follow knowledge they don't think. Two world wars and Communism to get His Church out yet just tell them the Pope changed It and down it came.
Thanks be to God for Archbishop Lefevre for his formation of SSPX where tradition lives on. I pray that one day his heroic act to preserve the Traditional Latin Mass would be acknowledge that could lead to sainthood. He most definitely belongs to the ranks of saints.🙏🙏🙏

Here's what the Pope Benedict XVI says in his Letter to the Bishops dated March 10, 2009:
"The fact that the Society of Saint Pius X does not possess a canonical status in the Church is not, in the end, based on disciplinary but on doctrinal reasons. As long as the Society does not have a canonical status in the Church, its ministers do not exercise legitimate ministries in the Church.
"In order to make this clear once again: UNTIL THE DOCTRINAL QUESTIONS ARE CLARIFIED, THE SOCIETY HAS NO CANONICAL STATUS IN THE CHURCH, and its ministers - even though they have been freed of the ecclesiastical penalty - do not legitimately exercise any ministry in the Church…
"This will make it clear that the problems now to be addressed are essentially DOCTRINAL in nature and concern primarily THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE SECOND VATICAN COUNCIL AND THE POST-CONCILIAR MAGISTERIUM OF THE POPES.
"The Church’s teaching authority cannot be frozen in the year 1962 - this must be quite clear to the Society.

The excommunication has already been lifted. SSPX has already been recognized.
Though the excommunication was null and void according to Arch. Lefbvre, the false information you are commenting on, is from another source. Recently a statement came from some bishops In Panama. They have no right to manipulate the faithful to not attend SSPX chapels.
It is completely the absurd actions of these sinful leaders to do so. They are out of line and in canonical error.
This is what clarity sounds like.

This letter is extraordinary. Short and to the point. Clear, straight-forward language. SSPX and the salvation of souls.
I attend the SSPX---and am devoted to Church and to the Mass of all Times.
Sadly, the new mass and traditional mass are all too often presented as the source of the conflict. But I have come to think that is misleading.They are not the causes, but the effects.
It is not two masses that are at issue. It is the two Faiths they represent.
It is not the difference in forms, but the difference in substance that is the source of the conflict.
If a Church has only one faith there is no problem with having as many rites as might seem necessary or fitting.
The Church has long had a diversity of rites, both east and west and it has never been a problem, because they all expressed one and the same faith; identical content in different formal expressions.
Peaceful coexistence has never been a problem.
So, if there's a problem now and a crisis spanning decades (and there is) it cannot be, fundamentally, a problem of rites. (Doctrines do not rest upon a foundation of rites, rites rest upon and their development is organically rooted in a foundational Body of internally coherent and proportionately perfect and perfectly ordered Doctrines.)
So the problem must lie elsewhere. And that elsewhere is found in divergent doctrines; competing "truths."
One IS true, the other is not. One is indefectible, the other contains errors, misrepresentations, changes in definitions, distorts internal relationships and proportions, and is, fundamentally, a Chimera posing as the true Faith.
A Church containing two faiths, expressed by two distinct and logically contradictory doctrines, that are focused on two distinct and different objects, with two very different final causes in mind cannot coexist. There will never be peace as long as the situation is sustained, there will always be war.
And THIS seems to me to be the actual problem.
And even worse in some respects, there seems to be an unwillingness to actually confront this core issue. The courage of the bishops seems to be failing.
The modernists have not only UnCrowned the Lord in the documents of Vatican II, they have used changes in worship as a means to distort, suppressed, and (in some cases) destroy the doctrines of the Church, both dogmatic and moral.
You can see this clearly in one isolated instance, but there are many more.
Ask yourself, is Martin Luther's teaching on justification right and true, or is the teaching found in the documents of the Council of Trent the right and true one?
Bergolio says Luther was and is right, and signed a document to that effect.
Leo XIII and St. Pius X says Trent was and is right, as did Pope Pius IV, who approved the council.
BOTH cannot be true...it is impossible.
The SSPX is my spiritual home in this earthly life.

Very powerful. I have a TLM mass book with English translation. I have known only Novus Ordo. The TLM is beautiful. I feel I am at the cross when I read the liturgy. It was an unholy thing to proscribe it.

Perfect. We were married by the FSSP and all kids baptized with the ICKSP.
We switched to the SSPX as soon as TC hit, even though the FSSP is still in our Diocese.

This thinking has to be applied to our other rights, too. We shouldn't be begging for an exemption not to take a vaccine. We just need to assert our natural right to not have unwanted medical treatments forced upon us.
I think that here you are confusing 2 issues. Vaccination is not comparable to which Mass you support. The traditional Church does not ban vaccination, that is up to the individual. IMHO the vaccine is good as Almighty God would not permit anything harmful to befall us by simply allowing it to be offered. This is where humanity comes in; you either accept the vaccine as a good thing granted by God or as something which, for whatever reason, you oppose. Please don't equate the vaccine with traditionalism as many traditionalist totally accept the efficacy of vaccination.
I am not a member of the FSSPX but I admired tremendously the speech of the Superior General of the Society of St. Pius X. In my humble opinion he is telling the truth and nothing but the TRUTH. Unfortunately, as a traditional Catholic (it may not make sense to the readers) I can not leave the Catholic Church. I always have had great respect and admiration for the holy Archbishop Marcel Le Febvre, may he rest in peace, I always respected him and loved him and actually was shocked, at that time, when he founded the FSSPX. I didn't understand then as I was too young perhaps.
May the Holy Spirit guide the Catholic Church and in the future accept the FSSPX as the Latin Rite (Or whatever name the FSSPX choses) In that way, the Society would be protecting themself from any changes a future Pope may want to make in the Society. As a RITE they would be untouchable. They need to protect themselves. And the rest of the Catholic Church then could have the same traditional Latin mass translated into the local languages. That way, there will only be one mass as always had been for 2,000 years. At that point I would chose the Latin Rite and join the PSSP then. God bless us all. And please let us pray for this to happen as soon as possible. For those of you who do not understand my reasoning, let's just agree to disagree as I know all of us want a solution to this issue. Archbishop Le Febvre, please pray of us from heaven.

This is so interesting. This is vindication for the Society of St. Pius V and the priests that broke away from the SSPX in 1982. They saw all of this before anyone else. And know, they have been proven to have been prescient in that. As Fr. Jenkins has said, "if you beg for the Tridentine Mass and accept that it can be allowed to you or taken away from you, then you don't believe you have a RIGHT to it." The SSPV saw all along the mendacity of the hierarchy in Rome and they were right. It's so clear now. This talk by Fr. Paglierani should be the first step in reconciliation with the SSPV and hopefully other traditional priests and groups. We pray daily for this.

Fantastic commentary on the current state of the problem. The TLM is a right, not a privileged exception. The goal must be restoration of the TLM to all parishes throughout the world because it is THE Roman rite of the Mass. The Church and the world depend on it.

This speech was perfectly done. I’m glad to see that there will be no more concessions asked for. I want the Faith and the Mass, just like the SSPX does. Knowing what is said to be true, there is only ONE Mass. That is the Mass of St Pius V. There can be no giving in on this. There can be no modifications to this. The folks that created this Novus Ordo Mass are, in fact, breaking tradition and breaking the Magesterium. Therefore, the only logical conclusion is that the NO Mass is a new mass for a new religion. If it’s a new religion, then it cannot be the Mass of the Ages and the Mass of the Catholic Church. It doesn’t follow logic to claim it does.
With that said, there will be a time in which force will be used. There will be a time when you will have to decide; accept the New Church or get excommunicated. Where will people stand then?

As Providence would have it, since with God there are no coincidences, I have found and now share with all who will join in, the following "Litany to St. Peter, the Prince of the Apostles", Leader of the first Remnant Church. As our intention is to have a True Vicar of Christ as our head and leader, I ask all to pray with me and storm Heaven to send to us, His little Remnant, who are striving to maintain and preserve His Council of Trent Church, a True Peter to Shepherd His children through this crisis in salvation history.
We have been orphaned and we are struggling in this fight against a world that contempts us and would have us to die off. Remember that Francis has dropped from his title, "Vicar of Christ", and has proclaimed himself the Pope of Vatican II and his Church, the Church of Vatican II, and said that if you do not accept Vatican II, you are not a part of his Church. In fact, he says that we are not Catholic. It seems that he and Benedict XVI have much more in common than meets the eye.
If you have doubts about the SSPX as being God's Remnant Church, please remember that He, Himself, has allowed a 1.4+ billion supposedly Council of Trent Church to be whittled down to a 1+ million Council of Trent Church and used the Second Vatican Council as His instrument to do the whittling just as He whittled Gideon's number of men from 32,000 to 300 with which he totally routed the enemy. Consider the rag-tag band of fishermen that was the first Remnant and how they turned out. They were the seed from which came the 1.4 billion.
Think about the Patron Saint of parish Priests, St. Jean Vianney, who should never have become a Priest since he didn't know Latin and all the classes in the seminary were conducted in Latin. Even more to the point, think of St. Joseph Cupertino who became a Priest because of his simplicity of life and love for the animals in the stable. So, the Vicar General of his order ordained him based more on his inherit holiness than his knowledge of the Scriptures or Latin.
Please join me in this Lent-long Litany to St. Peter so that God will show us His Will for the SSPX through our simplicity of life and ardent Faith and prayer. Remember, Lent begins tomorrow, which is Ash Wednesday. Let us begin praying today!

Please do the First Five Saturdays devotion Our Lady requested, to advance the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. Which may include a return of the traditional sacraments and the lifting of restrictions.
On each first Saturday of each month, for five consecutive months please do:
1) Confession within 8 days before or after the First Saturday of the month.
2) Holy Communion, in the first Saturday, if you are unable to receive communion on the First Saturday, request a priest to allow you to take communion on the following Sunday.
3) Pray 5 decades of the Rosary
4) Keep Our Lady company for 15 minutes while meditating on the 15 mysteries of the Holy Rosary. This is to be done separately from the Rosary using one, several or all of the mysteries.
All I have ever heard expressed is, at a minimum, a place in the church where the 1960 missal, the Tridentine massand rubrics are legally celebrated at the frequency the faithful want. The Tridentine Mass the order of the mass must be preserved as well as currently is and the order of sacraments.
The Orthodox Church has been like this for over a thousand years.

I've been asked why I would attend an SSPX Mass instead of a fully approved Indult in the Diocese. My response was often that I feared that the Vatican would pull the rug out from under us and end the Indult whereas with the SSPX this is not going to happen. Even if the Bishop in my city forbids the TLM per Pope Francis's urging, the SSPX will still offer the Mass that makes me feel connected to God.

Great points on the ongoing crisis in the Church. A good parallel with the mass argument. The sacrifice of Cain and Abel. Validity was not mentioned in the Old Testament. Cains sacrifice was displeasing to God. It was rejected. One day the new mass will be rejected and put down by the one true Church.
Validity was never the question, not even with SSPX. The question with SSPX is legitimacy. There's a big difference between validity and legality. Know the difference.

This whole argument, and all its distinctions and complexities, can be summed up in the intentions of the apostles and of those who still hold tradition as valuable. It is simply, like the church fathers of old, that the closer we hold to tradition, the closer we to Christ. For Christ gave the apostles the liberty to teach those things not found in scripture, but which he instructed them privately, and revealed His meaning. Therefore, to dismiss Tradition, and " start from scratch"" is the sin of pride, most notably expressed from Saint Thomas Aquinas, in both the Summa Theologica, AND the Summa Theologiae. For the church fathers always believed that The closer we were to the apostles and the "word of mouth" that tradition is based on, the closer we were to Christ. So to say that such Doctors of the Church and the very saints that are held forever in prayer, were wrong, is like saying the sky is falling, and everyone is going to hell. Idiocy, subjectivism, and the roots of the putrid "enlightenment period" are to blame. For Philosophy is the handmaid of theology. And here we see the effects of "reason" , which is just "subjectivism" saying that a rock is a flamingo, doing the harm to religion that it always was going to do. For if you believe that a rock is a flamingo, nothing holds any value, especially your beliefs. Because now, it is all about ensuring that your "flamingo" is the only rock anyone sees, by force. Hence etc. That is a better way of putting this argument in my opinion.

I Must Interject , There are indeed other forms of the Mass which are Valid and Exist , That are Named in the Council of Trent , one for Example is the Catholic Byzantine Rite Celebrated by Saint John Chrysostom in 325 A.D. and others That preceded the Council by at Least 250 Years Which SSPX Must Accept , Unless The Society Wants to be The Second one to Throw The Stone , Respectfully , Anthony
I don't presume to speak on behalf of the SSPX, but I think it is understood that Fr. Pagliarani was just speaking about the liturgy for Latin Rite Catholics. Certainly the SSPX does not reject venerable and approved Eastern Catholic rites, although being a Society of Roman Rite priests, it would not use those rites itself.

I don’t understand the part about “only one mass” toward the end - what about eastern rite masses? Does the SSPX think that those should be abrogated somehow?
I am about to listen to this so I am unsure what Bergoglio wants but I can tell you what the folks in the SSPX want: If the Vatican cannot accept us as we are, then please just leave the TLM alone and allow us the incredible latitude you extend to other groups with an agenda far more radical than anything we are asking for. It's not just the TLM, it's the whole Vatican II that Rome wants SSPX to recognize and accept. Until then, SSPX has no canonical status in the Church.
