I bought the pattern and crocheted along with this video. Both are very well written and clear. The pattern is easy to follow and I created a lovely jumper for a homeless person. Thank you!
This will be my 3rd sweater using this pattern. I know the pattern by heart at this point. I used different yarns before but this time I used this exact yarn in the same color way. It fits perfectly every time, that's why I trust your patterns, they always fit. Thanks, can't wait for your next creation!
@@jenniferowens1664yeah same here, she said 84 rows and it should be 20inches but my 84 rows measure around 25-26 inches. I restarted it and tightened my tension and it’s still almost the same, i measured at 24 inches. I’m using the same hook sizes and same yarn so i don’t know why it’s coming out so big! did you find a solution?
I love this! I’ve been crocheting for a while now, and I dread sewing in the ribbing, and I never thought to just make it one piece. This will be a life saver now lol.
I started working on this on Saturday afternoon, and I just split for the sleeves. It works up so fast, even though I accidentally bought the DK version of the Mandala yarn! My boyfriend likes the look of it so much that he bought yarn yesterday to make his own. He just learned how to crochet, and this will be his 3rd/4th project (his first was a sweater vest, second was a cardigan, and he’s working on a granny square cardigan). My friend is expecting a baby in the fall, and they will definitely be getting the infant version of this pattern (and a matching one for their toddler). Thank you for such a simple, yet elegant pattern! ❤
@ It took about two balls for the medium/large adult size but I used part of a third one so that I could match the stripes on the sleeves with the ones on the body. It took about one ball each for the baby and toddler sizes.
I'm so impressed at how many patterns and things you have just to follow along, I was wondering if you could show us how to do a V neck sweater/vest? I looked a couple years back on your videos and I couldn't find that, there are not a lot of clear instructions on other videos or, they go way too slow. 😊 You really are one of the best instructors I've found! With raglan it really doesn’t matter if your measurements are different because it’s all made to fit you, you can follow the way the video does the neck, keeping track of how many stitches you end up needing for your neck specifically, could be less could be more than on the video, join the neck as instructed and then decrease 4 from that number and divide the rest of the stitches by 3, and then divide one of the three parts by half. For example, let’s say you ended up with 34 rows, minus 4 rows from that total and you get 30 that you divided by 3 so you get three parts of 10 stitches and then you divide 10 in half and you get 5, so when you knit you start making the V with double crochets, make 5 double crochets and another V, 10 dc and another V, 5 dc and V, and 10 dc and you end up in the first stitch, and continue increasing like in the video. If you don’t get and exact number division you round up either up or down and distribute the stitches as you want as long as you end up with the same amount of stitches for both arms, it all depends on how you need them according to your needs, if you have a larger chest you can have more stitches in the front than in the back, if you need more space in the arms you ad more stitches to those spaces and make the torso a little bit smaller, if after you make the next rows and get to the armpit and you need any part to be wider or smaller you either double crochet in the same stitch or double crochet two together to change the measurements, and that’s it!

Bought this pattern on Raverly. Works up fast and takes a minute to get the size right, but trying it on as I go is easy for making adjustments. Love this pattern and it looks great. Starting my next one and have my eye on a couple more of your patterns. Very impressed with your talent and you make it something I can do that I would not have ever tried if I didn't happen to see your blog. Thank you
Thank you so much for this tutorial of this sweater! I'm glad you did an update on this tutorial❤. This is going to be my first time trying to crochet a sweater. And i found this tutorial more detailed and also has more visual footage of the steps that need to be made, then the other video of this sweater. The steps where also shown slower, so i could keep better track of what i needed to be doing. So thank you so much for the update of this tutorial!😊❤. I love your video's a lot! @7:21 I had a question, Are the first two double stitches, is it included in the 17 stitches or is it really 19 stiches until the next double stitch section? I'm kinda confused. Working on this pattern now
Just found you, just got hooked! 😊 How many sweater designs have you done? Going to binge watch your videos & start making your sweaters. Beautiful work!
Oh thank you thank you thank you for posting this ❤️ I needed the most basic yet best sweater pattern for the two designs I’m working on and you just saved the day 😭❤️ beautiful work
Love this sweater, working on mine right now! Do you have a pattern for a baby/child’s size? Love to get started for matching fall sweaters for me and my tiny tot.
At 15:08 in your video, you state that you are going to change the way you section off the sleeves from how you did it in the other video but you don't say why you made the change. Why did you make the change? Just curious.
Thank you for your wonderful patterns! I was just looking for something like this for a beautiful blue yarn I bought. But I want to make a polo/turtleneck... do you think it will work if I make a longer chain in the beginning to accomplish that, or will it look weird? 😄
When you get to the part where you make the chain for the sleeves and then start the body you say to not do the slip-stitch to connect and to just keep going, won’t that make the lines like a spiral and not even rows/lines?
Making this now. Im starting the first sleeve - will the stitches be wrong side out? I went the other way so stitches are right side out but it throws it off at the body. Does anyone know? Please and ty!
Thank you for sharing this pattern! ❤ I’m only having trouble because there is no definite front and back. Since my front is bigger, it’s not quite sitting right on me. If I make it again, I think I’ll decide a front vs back and add some increase rows to accommodate. I’m also planning to creating a gap on each side at the band to accommodate my hips. 😅😉
What if you didn’t cut your yarn when creating the two arms? Could you chain under the arms and then continue round with a slip stitch or sc? How would that look? Would it be noticeable?
I need help!? Please On the 2nd row I’m not ending up with the correct amount of stitches back it’s off by 1 or should be 25 but I have 24. The stitch count is correct for the selves and front though

After connecting the v-stitches for the arms, I don't see how you can tell which is the front and back sections. They look exactly the same to me. How do I tell the difference? I cannot move forward on this project until I know which section is which.
The chain 3 gives you your height for the next row. It's considered the 1st double crochet. Not sure if it would work out as a raglan type sweater if you did it in the round. You could try a couple rounds and see if it works?
If I wanted to use a smaller hook size, would I have to add extra rows to the beginning border? Or would I just follow the pattern and have to do more rows?
