She has changed so much. She was such a brat when she first arrived.
I tried teaching someone to ride their 22 year old gelding they just got yesterday. They just wanted to sit like a bump on a log and let the horse do whatever whenever he wanted. They didn't see the need to use reins to direct the animal, OR STOP him. Clueless spectators everywhere

Horses relax when they have a reasonable leader. Years ago, my old horse that had a medical condition & needed an Xray was acting nervous about it. I was being quiet and gentle. Made him worry more. The stable owner and manager walked in speaking in his normal voice - not being careful and my horse settled down.
