Missed the live because I had to tend to the drain in my mare's thigh. Somehow got a hematoma.
Really appreciate the wisdom you share.

So you mentioned the leg will fix the face. I know you're not dressage...but I use a snaffle... when I try to take contact in the rein, he will slow, throw his head up, or push his head below the bit. I lose forward in my trot. When I drive with my legs, sometimes he will try to canter. If I leave the reins out of it. I get a great trot! Any suggestions?

When you put leg on he is resistant. Do lots of leg yields to soften the shoulders.

    From Australia 6am .
    Great video thank you🌺 .
I have a green broke Mare who will ear pin snarl when I first ride her in the arena when I ask her to do pretty much anything at the start of the ride , I hop on ask her quietly to walk off then start with your circles and as soon as I ask she snarls ear pins and is extremely resistant, I keep her on a small circle till she has her happy face on and is paying attention to me then let her walk out , sheS fine on a trail , she’s forward doesn’t suck back , she was the same with the breaker snarly in the arena and fine out on the trail .
I only ride a day or two a week at this point in the arena and eventually she comes out of it .
What are your thoughts on what to do with this type in terms of correct and ignore till she’s out of her attitude or not acceptable and how would you correct every time she does it .

That behavior is pretty common for a green horse. If you have already ruled out ulcers and saddle fit then I would mostly ignore it and just keep riding. Depending on how long you ride she could be getting muscle sore. I would try to ride her more often, like 4 or 5 days a week.
