    This was very informative, I also love the Australian Gold Medium to Tan mineral sunscreen. For my oily skin, it really works wonders.

      @@chelseafu29 Hi, its great and doesnt casue breakouts with daily use however, without makeup there is a bit of flashback so I dont wear on my no-makeup days. Its also mattifying so it works great for my oily skin (not sure how dryer skin types will like it).

    Please continue to get this message out to people your age. I have been wearing sunscreen faithfully the last 20 years - and bugging my husband to do it too but he always had an excuse. He just had Moh's surgery for skin cancer on his nose - believe me, if you care about your looks, you don't want to get that done. He now is wearing sunscreen every day.

    Ugh, the search for a decent sunscreen under makeup! AG has been my HG for years. At this point, I think they have 4 shades, so you have more options. Another great SPF that is a bit less drying is Jack Black Oil-Free Sun Guard SPF 45. I heard about it from Dr Dray. $21US for 4 Oz. Love it!

    OMG i feel ya. I have such a freaking hard time finding a mineral SPF that works well under makeup. Like, for 6 years Ive used Elta MD clear 46 because it works almost amazing under makeup( its a hybrid)- it's the most hydrating ive tried that doesn't cause be to get any blackheads/whiteheads/blemishes( some SPFs ive tried in the past annoyed my skin, which isn't normally sensitive)- but I only use the Elta Clear46 one because i got tired of trying others- I just wish it stayed dewy once i put on my makeup, cause it turns a lot of my so called glowy foundations matte lol.( although maybe i should wait to let it soak in 15 minutes and apply a hydrating primer on top! But, if i'm in a rush i apply my SPF and then my tint or light foundations) I can't win with SPF. But, i'm on a quest to find the "perfect" mineral one that is dewy and hydrating, because the Elta Clear46 one is a hybrid with zinc and octinoxate. And, octinoxate based off what i read is bad for a number of reasons sadly! But, then i think well using the Elta Clear one is better than using sunscreen, right.? So what to do.

      The best sunblock for me is spf which I use daily....if is not breathable, eventhough guaranteed protection with..amazing ingredients but did not work for me ...I don't use it. High ppd UvA protection has been my concern for me. Elta md uv clear is the best n breathable....I use European spf also...alternate it/double layer

    Great review, and it's especially useful to me because I think I'm kinda your skin tone and type, but the under eye situation is especially exactly the same, down to slightly more creasing in one eye than the other and like the 3-4 prominent creases..

    I always want the most matte sunscreen I can possibly find, and it's so hard. They're always too expensive. I feel like they neglect us super oily folks. So if the Australian gold is actually matte then I'll try it.

    You should always have a spf of 50 even if you are in doors as people don't usually put enought for a good coverage. spf 15 and 20 doesn't do much. Should at least wear spf 30.

    You should try mixing the Cerave with the Australian gold!! It makes the perfect cocktail!!!! I found the Australian gold one so drying, especially around my eyes! I did use the fair to light to mix with the Cerave.

    • @tina_smt
      @tina_smt 3 роки тому +6

      Mixing sunscreens will mess with the filters and the film may not form. It’s best to layer. Cerave first, then AG on top. Let the Cerave dry for 20 mins. This is the safest way to do it. 🙂

    Thank you 😊 I like Australian Gold for my days off from work. I don’t find it drying, just matte , but it might be too drying for me under makeup. I also bought Canmake sunscreen which works beautifully underneath makeup or by itself, but I cannot use it around the eyes, it stings… Ugh 😑
    It Cosmetics used to make a CC cream with SPF 50 just for eyes, but it’s been discontinued… 😣

    • @marionwiechert4183
      @marionwiechert4183 3 роки тому +3

      It is a great sunscreen but no, it is not easy to wash off. Since it is water resistant, it is way more effective to use a balm or an oil cleanser first, before your regular cleanser 🙂

    • @FourJaysFour
      @FourJaysFour 3 роки тому +1

      It has a nice, but light coverage to it, so I would say it requires a decent face wash or double cleanse. It is definitely water resistant (which I love!)

    But almost all sunscreens contain lot of chemicals. Almost all are carcinogenic... nie the recommendation is to avoid all these creams and gels. Get tanned. That's the only way to get rid of skin cancers. But do not get more serious cancers by using sun creams....
