Moto Racer 2 is a motocross racing game developed by Delphine and published by Electronic Arts for the PlayStation and the PC. The PC version was released in Japan on April 27, 1998, in Europe during October, 1998, and in North America on December 30, 1998; the PlayStation version was released in Japan and Europe on September 29, 1998, and in North America on October 17, 1998. It is part of the Moto Racer series, and is the sequel to Moto Racer.
Moto Racer 2 has more courses than its predecessor, and added a level editor. Moto Racer 2 garnered positive reviews from critics, praising its graphics and variety of gameplay. As of 2010, Moto Racer 2 has received a compilation score of 83% for PlayStation and a 72% for the PC from GameRankings.

BEST OLD MOTORCYCLE GAME
One of my favourite childhood game which I never played except on school computer :(

ahead of its time way better than moto 3 or 4 , moto 2 is an amazingly good classic its one of the those games you could feel the speed
I remember Amazionian races being particularly unforgiving at night.

I just love how notable the jump is in terms of graphics from the previous games.
Shame they didn't manage to keep up with the times in the next installments.
I saw an add for this via NFS 3 Hot Pursuit Installation menu. Looks genuinely fun.

the original definitely looked the best out of all the moto racer games.
The sound that plays at a checkpoint was a sped up version of a correct answer sound from Supermarket Sweep…

I'll never understand why home racing games had both a position indicator and a checkpoint timer. Wasn't one way to lose the race enough?
Its to add more challenge to the game and make it harder games back then were famous for being hard
Certainly wouldn't want a dreamcast if you had a good PC back then.

WRONG SOUNDTRACK
It's the right soundtrack. You just had the misfortune of having to play the sh!tty playstation version of the game.

Looks nice at 4k but I had the misfortune to play it for PlayStation and it was horrible.
The first game was way better.
Issues I found, on PS are
1) Texture resolution: everything looks pixellated and confused. The pseudo-realistic style really didn't make it a favour.
2) Uninspired tracks: instead of proper tracks with "personality", there are few "environments" that must have been born from the fantasies of a rally games designer.
I get the arcadey style, but running fast on snow, mud and even sand sounds really generic and clashes horribly with what a supersport bike is.
Imagine the same stages with cars from Need for Speed Most wanted and you will get what I mean.
Sound: The music is generic as much as the stages and, in general I don't see any improvements from the first game. I bet they re-used the SFX because they really sound the same.
All in all, a game that aged very poorly and doesn't make me feel like playing it again. Same poor results have been reached by its two sequels MR3 and MR4. On the contrary, the first Moto Racer is always a pleasure to spend some times on.
