- This is video 1 of 2 about two Rossi R92 lever action rifles in stainless with 20 inch barrels. This first video is on the .44 Magnum version of the rifle. It is a Winchester Model 1892 Copy made in Brazil and holds 10+1 rounds of .44 Magnum ammunition, it will also fire the .44 Special as well which we will fire a few of those as well. I hope you enjoy it as we shoot the gun at a variety of reactive targets and we will talk about it as well a bit, the usual straight to the point and primarily just shooting that I hope most of you have fun with.

I’m glad you have something sentimental to remember your friend, sorry for your loss.
Thank you, I am too. I appreciate it
Nice to see an authentic carbine front sight. Put behind the front band so to ease the rifle's entry into a saddle scabbard.
Well made video sir. Nice pair of rifles. To bad about the way you got them though. I’ve lost friends and it’s always tough. Sorry for your loss. Great video, keep them coming. 👍🏻
Thanks for the video. Nice tribute video and my condolences to your friends family and
yourself. Nice looking pair of lever action rifles.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate that. Thank you
Just picked one up today to pair up with my colt 44mag. Also rest in peace to ur buddy
X-Small slip-on recoil pad lengthens the stock & makes it more comfortable to shoot.
Thanks Guy’s here in Australia
We love those Rossi’s RIP Eddie
sorry for your loss. thank you for the video. im sold. i wanted a nice farm gun.
I got mine in the mid 90's, when Interarms still did the importing. It's the 20" in .44 mag. Love it ! I've been looking for a 16" barrel in .357, but no luck at the price I want to pay.
I got a ss one with the 16" barrel about 2 years ago. I liked it so much I got the exact same thing in 44 mag
The Fudness of it all is coming back to town.
Lol, I am definitely not a Fudd- I enjoy all types of firearms.
I have the exact same carbine but wanted the 16" ... Tried for 2 years to get one but gave up and jumped on the 20" when Bud's got a few in a couple years ago. Love how handy these are and I do have .44 Mag revolvers to go along with it. You can't go wrong with the .44 Mag as it can take any North American big game with a well placed shot & full house magnum loads. I like 300 Gr hard cast, Sierra 300 Gr. H.P.s or Hornady XTPs ... For deer I just use Zero 240 Gr JSPs or hard cast LEE Keith 255 Gr ... .44 ain't no lie ... God bless y'all
The 20 inch barrel is the better choice, adds a bit more power to everything you fire.
@@Diemerstein If you look at the actual ballistics you get slower speeds from the 20" than from the 16" ... Once the powder fully burns in the barrel the bullet starts slowing down and you do get a full burn in the 16" so the true advantages of the 20" are a longer sighting radius, a little more weight to help with recoil and the longer tubular magazine holds a couple extra rounds. Because hunting can be 99.9% toting and .1% shooting I was wanting the savings in weight, compactness and maneuverability of the 16" barrel. The advantages of the 20" in my opinion do not outweigh the advantages of the 16" but things being the way they are these days I was just happy to be able to get my hands on anything. God bless & thank you Sir for your observation.
@@anthonygalliart1789 If you think you get slower speeds using a longer barrel than 16 inches, then you need to see real world results.

@Diemerstein My real world results have not changed. Once the powder fully burns the bullet starts slowing down. In a 10" Ruger Super Blackhawk I get a full powder burn. Shooting the same round through a Thompson Center Contender Super 16 I get slower velocities than from the 10" Ruger. The 20" Rossi is even slower than the first 2 handguns mentioned. I just have higher accuracy from it. Once the powder burns off completely the pressure drops and when that happens the bullet starts slowing down. It's part of the law of thermal dynamics. Once you reach the barrel length to burn all the powder the pressure drops as does the velocity if friction is present between the barrel and the bullet. If you look at sub machine guns like the Uzi or H&K MP5 they both have short barrels barely longer than a pistol. Why not put a 12" barrel on them? They tried quite a few different lengths but settled on their lengths based on maximum velocity obtainable with a 9mm NATO pistol cartridge. The .44 & .357 magnums are also pistol cartridges and only require pistol length barrels for max velocities due to a full powder burn. Those are my actual experiences. With many rifle cartridges you need at least a 24"-26" barrel to achieve a full powder burn. Most firearm manufacturers don't give you those needed lengths. Many give you 22" for 30-06 Springfield when most loads require 26" barrels or 20" for .308 Winchester when you require 24" bbls. You throw away gunpowder + velocity, get a louder boom and bigger flash with no ballistic benefit. This is all to make the rifle more compact and lightweight. Manufacturers can't get away with that on varmint or competition rifles, those have correct barrel lengths for their cartridges. Lever action brush guns shooting pistol cartridges legally must have at least a 16" barrel not because it gives better velocities but because some idiot said a barrel shorter than that is against the law. The same lever action carbines are also offered with 20", 24" and even longer not because you get higher velocities with hand gun rounds but because the 30-30, 38-55 & 405 Winchesters needed the longer barrel. The 44-40 WCF did not but it allowed for a longer magazine tube which carries more cartridges and a longer sighting radius. It always comes back to pressures based on powder burn. Once it burns up the pressure drops and the bullet starts slowing.
My new R92 44 mag in 16in stainless, was in no way a cheaply made rifle. Cheaper as in price, but every bit as well made as the 44mag Henry boat anchor I got rid of.
Great video great guns! Sorry for your loss!✨🙏🏼❤️
Thank you, I'll have the .357 version of the video up tomorrow probably.
Great rifle!
Thanks Guys awesome stuff love that review
Thanks so much Cheers
Thank you for watching!
That is a sweet gun
Love its all can say.
Sorry for your loss! Peace
Great video. Im late to the video but im Sorry to hear about your loss.
Thanks you and no worries, better late then never though.
Looking around, there's still a decent supply of 454 Casull. Probably mostly because it's an insane cartridge to shoot. But if you have a R92 Puma in 454 or a Big Horn Armory 90A in 454, you can still get ammo for it.
Yeah, it would be fun to get a long gun that fires that as well as I already have revolvers that use it.
Mine is in 45 Colt to match my single action revolver.
I have noticed most everyone ends up sliding the sight all the way down when 1st sighting in.
Sorry for your loss.
RIP ED
Thank you, great guy.
I got one and boy do they blow your shoulder back after firing it for a little bit
First of all when you load the rifle move your left hand rearward so the fingers of that hand can hold the partly loaded round while you begin to load the next round. Only push the final round all the way in. I loved my Rossi .357 but didn't like the .44 magnum at all and sold it.
New here. Cross between Demo ranch and Honest outlaw!,
I appreciate that compliment. Thanks! Stick around!
made by CBC ?
Why did you call it a Browning replica?
my 9 year old daughter doesnt react to the recoil that dramatically.....
Sorry you lost your friend.
The review should be a little more than just watching you shoot.
