Tamiya Wild One Vs. Tamiya DT02 Sand Viper - RC RWD Buggy Rally Head to Head 06 - 'Old vs New'

The Tamiya Wild One Vs. The Tamiya DT02 Sand viper go head to head in a time trial of old vs new. With the favourite being the Sand Viper with it’s modern chassis….Can the old dog show us some new tricks?
Three stages each with three laps on ad hoc stages -The fastest overall time over the three stages .....wins!
For anyone who cares i’ve added a league table to keep track of results .
Points awarded thus :
1st place - 9pts
2nd place - 4pts
3rd place - 1pt ( if applicable)
Please note - These races are by no means definitive.
Both are running in Tamiya Torque Tuned motors

That was a great match, Dom! The Wild One looked the fastest but the stopwatch doesn't lie! I reckon the double wishbone suspension of the Viper was the clincher in the end. Loved the outtakes! Great entertainment, loving this series mate! 🤗🤗👌👌👍👍

thanks for watching mate . yeah i think the WO is a bit faster but like you say the suspension of the dt02 just kept the corners faster and smoothed the rough ground 👍

While I was rooting for the Wild One, I had a feeling the Sand Viper would prevail! The Wild One certainly impressed on stage 3!

Sand viper is another, slightly underrated, buggy imo. It did really well dispute its low ground clearance. Wildone just looked like a lot of fun out there. Keep them coming 👍

The Wild One did really well in the end Dom. After the first leg I had the Sand Viper down for a huge winning margin! Great stuff dude 🙌🏻

Hiya Dom. Great head to head you've done here. I do like both of these buggies and I'm not surprised that the Sand Viper won through. I think that the Wild One handling has more character and it's obviously got the lovely scale looks. Good stuff mate 😁👍

Another great episode Dom.
Love the way you utilise the natural landscape to make up interesting tracks.
A fair few years between these two, but a surprisingly small gap time wise.
Those boys over at RCso&so done a very similar test last week, only theirs was on Tarmac..... and they hit a lot of cones!
But, a great video worth a watch if you haven't already seen it mate.
The old wild one certainly deserves some credit, and in my eyes it should get bonus points for how retro cool it looks! 😂

i think the wild one is a tad faster on the tt than the viper but the suspension just works better on the dt02 unsurprisingly considering the age difference. thanks for watching bud 😊👍
