Hello and welcome back to the KenOhWee Channel and for today's episode I'll be comparing 2 amazing spiderman action figures from 2 amazing companies and I hope it'll help whoever's interested in knowing the 2 figures in depth.
I tried my very best to highlight every detail shown in the figure and if I happen to miss anything, I do apologise. There may be some points you may or may not agree and I completely respect that as at the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference and both of these are great figures so you can't go wrong.
As mentioned in the video, I'll be taking a short break as I'll be having a surgery next week so I'll be taking the time to focus on my recovery and I'll be back as soon as I can to share my passion and love for toys and also making videos with all of you =)

All the shf infinity war/endgame figures have the same problem, all were based on concept art, not the final movie designs to be the firsts in the market, and suffered for that. The new endgame shf figures are around the corner and the iron spider looks very much like the movies, it would be fun to see a tri-way comparison, new vs old vs mafex

Yeah I think the only ok shf spiderman is the ps4 version also I think their speciality is dbz/super but that's my opinion.

Where Sh Figuarts obviously falls flat is the flat color scheme instead of the more accurate metallic shade of Mafex
My only concern on Mafex is the spider legs breaking like I’ve seen many ppl report
And I agree, if Mafex had some of Sh Figuarts’ slightly more muscular build, it would look absolutely perfect

I like their starwars characters. Their clone troopers are nice and I have the Revenge of the Sith Anakin and Obi Wan. Correction not all their SW characters are good. SHF Yoda has a great face sculpt but thats it lol
Well SHF made a new one, and they did amazing this time. The new one is definitely more balanced with Mafex but it’s mostly preference
I actually like sh figuarts because I don't really like the shiny look

Mafex just released the second version of Iron Spider. They fixed the claws problem.
the SH figures fixed their entire problem with the iron spider from the look of the metallic look to the accessories and mares also made their endgame and still the SH figures is still better

Deff agree with your vid. I'm glad I got the figuarts beacuse I was just gonna wait for the mafex but I snagged him on eBay for 60 bucks for U.S version. Can't go wrong considering the figuarts stand is like 25 bucks

The Mafex is easily the better figure. The only thing SH figuarts has going for it is superior QC. If Mafex continues to tighten up their QC, eventually they'll be the best 1/12 figure company in the game.

Disagree about the musculature. Tom Holland in the suit definitely has muscle, but he’s not a big dude. He’s not insanely buff like the figuarts. The mafex looks much more like Tom, who is strong and has muscle but isn’t really huge. Ik this sounds weird but look at the scene in homecoming where he’s got no shirt. Yeah, he has abs and biceps, but he’s not very bulky. Plus in the films he’s supposed to be like 15-16. Calves could be a bit bigger though.
Seoul yeah I’m comparing both of them to my Hot Toys Iron Spider (which is quite accurate in terms of body shape and proportions), and the Mafex one is actually closer to what I’m seeing with the Hot Toys one, so I think it should have won that category
When I got the SH Figurarts version of this, it broke the same day I got it. Apparently, it’s super fragile at the waist joint. I was even handling it carefully so I could break it in. Anyways, that’s my experience with it

Really didn't like the MCU Iron Spider suit in the films, but your review of these figures makes me reconsider adding one to my collection.
Obviously MAFEX is the better figure. I don't know how people could say the SHF one is better.

I’m making a custom figure it’s going to be the anti ock suit from ps5 game I’m going to paint it to my liking and I’m getting mafex iron spider because it is better in my opinion and it’s shiny so that will help me a lot when making a suit from a ps5 game I have to paint al, of the accessories to that’s going to take forever I’m getting glossy paint glossy black and glossy light yellow

One thing for sure... Mafex and SHF need to improve the quality of their product.. so many quality issues with popping arm, popping ankle especially mafex venom, loose feet and it always repeat again...

If you can, get both, if not, get the Marvel Legends one, because it comes with an Iron Man and some stuff for less than either of these. Seriously, Mafex came a long way from poor quality control to creating this beauty. Figuarts does have a more solid hand feel, but Mafex wins in my opinion. Great review, much appreciated!
Mafex has definitely made progress in QC, how ever sh figuarts is still wayyy ahead of them.
The bad thing about S.H.Figuarts is their are advance in making toys they only make the when the movie trailer is released

In defense of the SH figure arts Iron Spider’s lack of metallic colors, the Iron Spider did initially appear matte at the end of Homecoming. For some reason, the CGI for the Spidey suits in the MCU are severely inconsistent between each appearance haha

In my OPINION, I think the the S.H.Figuarts did a good job.
I have seen the SH Figurarts images and they seem to be very shiny as well. Are you sure you got a retail release one and not a knock off? Especially as the SH figures isn't out yet?

I like the mafex one better, because in this case the iron spider is a bit more glossy than matte. And sh figuarts mastered doing matte figures but mafex wins in this one.

I agree with you that Mafex won this challenge, but I personally choose to have the S.H one because I like the Muscles and Colouration more, but with the movie details Mafex definitely won!!

Haber las S.H.Figuarts son unas figuras que se basan más en la movilidad y poses, por eso ese aspecto tan alienigena, aparte el hombre araña es alguien que usa unas poses totalmente imposible para alguien imposible
Por otro lado mafex parece enfocarse más que nada en la igualdad con el personaje de la película, lograndolo de muy buena manera y usándo más el color metal y a la vez tiene igualmente muy buena articulación
Bueno al final es difícil para mí decidir pero a la rápida me quedo con la S.H.Figuart
Personalmente, yo me quedo con la Mafex, ya que tiene imanes en las dos manos y en los pies, algo que S.H. nunca hace. Aparte de éso, la Mafex se ve espectacular! Me encanta como Mafex logro que el plástico del que esta echo el Hombre Araña se vea como metal! Pero, haces muy buenos puntos en eligir la S.H.! A seguir coleccionando!
