when using the trowel, fill up your hotbar with the blocks you want to use, but set it up like a ratio. 4 stacks of one, 2 stacks of another, single stacks of things you dont want as many of.
Honestly, though, if you look them up, yellow meranti trees are kinda like that! Very tall, few branches until you get close to the top. Nature is so fascinating~
You can always call it a shed instead of a barn because normally a shed is used for holding storage for your tools or fire wood or place to keep your DIY projects.
Farmers tend to be far *less* competitive, not more. Farming communities tend to be very friendly. You're nearest neighbor is miles away, so it isn't like you have constant conflict or anything. Also, if you have a problem, who do you turn to for help? Tractor breaks down during harvest? Good thing you know a few people in the area that might be able to help with their own tractor! As soon as they finish their own harvest, someone will probably be more than happy to come lend a hand. And they know you'd do the same for them.
Dear Sjin, A barn is a barn. It is a building type. Now you have things like chicken coops, stables and pens. In a barn you can have pens and stables for animals. But a barn stores whatever you want. You can make it an equipment barn or an animal barn or whatever you want. But it is just a barn.
Whenever I'm doing large-scale builds with a trowel, I like to put 3-4 of one type of block that I want to see mostly and fill the rest of my hotbar with similar style blocks. That way, if I'm building, say a stone brick road, it'll be mostly stone brick, but every now and then there will be a bit of cracked stone or mossy stone brick.
This is essentially leveraging the RNG, as the Trowel picks from every hotbar at an equal chance. So if it's only 3 stacks like you had initially, that's 33.3% for each stack. Adding more stacks of the same block changes that. So 4 stacks, with two cobble, and 2 other different ones, that's easily a 50% chance for cobble.
You may look at adding applied cooking if they don't already have it just for ease of use with the cooking for blockheads, if they are updated to the same version.
Barns are often referred to as animal related storage, with the "loft" purely been considered storage often on second floor, even having machines related to bailing hay in the barn as it was once considered a storm shelter for animals and things expensive to replace.
I love your content honestly. It´s slow paced, calming and nice. A much welcome difference when the rest of youtube is drama, politics and fashion or something like that
Fun series, Sjin! It’s been a while since I saw your old Feed the World Series so it’s like coming home. Random thought I had while you had the four planks of mahogany wood down was they looked like eyes with the Dreamworks raised eyebrow. Anyway, I have been enjoying the series and hope you’re well.
there is a few blocks to use for a tree farm, the plant gatherer used with the plant sower from industrial forgoing will make a good tree farm i also believe they might have a Forester block to maybe?
Embrace the Mahogany and swap out all your oak plants in your home with the glorious of glorious wood. Maybe see if it can work with the Chip mod to see if it has other varieties or better doors
Is Domum Ornamentum or any other similar mod in the modpack, to create custom doors and the like using a material? It's the mod with the Architect's Cutter if you're trying to remember what Domum Ornamentum is.
While I agree the yellow meranti look out of place, they can grow up to 100 meters tall. It's the tallest flowering plant according to wikipedia. It might have looked more natural if they made the crown a bit more realistic instead of giving it the minecraft oak tree treatment.

41:22 "We had some troubles getting it up"
There's a blue pill for that, Sjin.
or take the red pill and face reality

Right when I saw the scarecrow and thought of straw fingers
As soon as he said rival farmer I thought of straw fingers
The mahogany quest made me giggle. It’s been one of the longest lasting memories in my head from all the past series

@@lethososdonkeypuncher6585 Lol thanks for explaining the logic behind it, I guess?
A Barn used exclusively for storage would be a Warehouse.
or a Storehouse.
or a barn
Or a shed

You didn’t wash your hands after your poo 😂
Is that why the Sun disappeared?
I would love to see you building these buildings, because you're such a great architect. The process is what's interesting.
You could use Create to make a tree farm. It's pretty low tech, so it's aligned with your playstyle of this series.
No create in this pack yet

Farmers take care of each other, its a hard life you cannot do it alone. You also hit a good point that they need variation and usually trade a lot.
Look at the Ebony wood. :)
14:50 strawfingers?
It might be possible to chisel the mahogany door?
Mahogany Drawers
Using Compacting Drawers for Clay and Bricks is also very useful. U should try it.
A barn used only for storage, That would be a shed mate
Sad at Sjin sounding sad at the look of mahogany planks >.
That's not a tree! That's a nerd pole with a hat!
You could use the woodcutter from Minecolonies to create the woodsupply?
Yesss Bee Dome
Hope you continue getting different types of trees.
Builder is likely capped by his housing level.
Which is non-existent, no houses or tavern.
Based on how many stacks one type of block on your hotbar will affect how random the blocks will be.
i know what caused that blackout at 10:00. this is why you dont touch yourself under the table, that sort of behaviour makes you go blind.
You could solve your wood problem with cloches and wood seeds
Are the crazy tall trees supposed to be 2x2?
Yuck you didn't wash ya hands sjin that's so unhygienic especially when you're a farmer 😂
Mahogany trees acquired
time for mahogany floors
and mahogany doors
Is Domum Ornamentum or any other similar mod in the modpack, to create custom doors and the like using a material? It's the mod with the Architect's Cutter if you're trying to remember what Domum Ornamentum is.
how do you get the quest thing to get that bonus stuff.
Sjin - "I'm just gonna slip into the shower" *Proceeds to piss himself*
No way of building facades to cover up those wires / cables?, I thought was part of that mod?
Try using chipped on Mohagony wood and planks...
Farmers here in Sweden are kinda unified, they subsidize each other if there's many that does the same thing.
A shed or a warehouse.
Mahogany eww its brown with red in it... Have you never seen Mahogany irl??? That is EXACTLY what it is deep brown with red highlights!

Another series over shadowed with minecolony
what?
Pre-like this video you plebs!
