Nicola Murray was a far more competent leader than Truss and Nicola didn’t know the difference between left and right. And it's not even correct. The average bill was 2500, it wasn't "use as much electricity as you want because you won't pay over 2500". Many (very stupid) people believed her and then screamed because their bills were through the roof. "But Liz said I can have all my lights on and every appliance running full blast, and my house lit up so you could see it from space and my bill wouldn't be more than 2500!!"

You need to check out "the thick of it" in full, as it's truly top-quality entertainment. There's much more where this came from. There's also the film "in the loop", which is equally worthwhile.

You can see why it's creator has declined to do more, when so easily outstripped by real life. They went on to do Veep, which I also love, handing over after season 4 though many of the writing team and others still contributed. With US politics, that final season in 2018 had to significantly ramp up the crazy for the same reason.
