Thanks for the call out to locktight #3 at 9:00 in, never heard of the stuff before, and "aviation sealant" brought up too many responses to narrow it down. look forward to learning more about what all this can do.
I like how much fun you guys have while you are solving one problem after the other. Thanks for showing us what it's like to have confidence and competence. One isn't much good without the other. Goodonya!
Another awesome episode guys. So cool to see my name at the end along with the other Patreon supporters. Stoked to be able support you guys and to vote with my wallet on what I think is great content
I used to make steel braided lines in a specialty shop, if you put some tape around the line before you cut it it controls most of the outer steel part and makes pushing on fittings easier. Just makes life a little easier
Many years ago, 2004 I think it was, I replaced the lifters in my VLt in my tiny garage as they were noisy. Watching Al do it brought back a whole lot of memories. I lubricated the hell out of everything as I put it back together, but didn't have a torque wrench, so just did everything up 'tight'. Thinking back, I'm damn lucky nothing went bang, because I gave that car a belting.
Always bummed when these episodes finish ! Great work guys , brings back many early 90's memories for me as I built a ripper BT1 over many years and I had sooo much fun in that thing ! Wish I could do it again now with all the advanced goodies to choose from ! The old girl was just shy of 550HP back then , the mind boggles at what could be achieved these days and how much better it would be !!
This is awesome, love the new series, love the no-nonsense tech info. Since I am in the states its super cool to learn the history as most if not all of the stuff we've never even heard of before.
Awesome video guys. I've been watching you since the first 1. This is one of the best Australian channels and you should have way more subs and views. I used to own a VL so now you know I'm from OZ, SA in fact.. Keep the videos and your great knowledge coming. I've rebuilt many engines but your insight, knowledge, experience and the way you explain everything is just great. Cant wait to see how the turbo VL performs
One alternative to using two nuts to drive the studs in, is to use a long nut with a pin driven on the end. It bottoms out, you drive the stud in, remove the pin (sloppy fit's ok) and you can then remove the nut. Old racer trick (apparently).
25 minutes!?! This has to be good 👌
and they still went by way too fast
@@MariusAraujo WAYYYYY too fast!
Turbo Yoda is a gentleman. I doubt he would ever put it in dry. That Woody on the other hand... ;P
Homoerotic car humor. Original ;-P
@@numinous4789 Hey it can be either! 😂
For sure. Def spits on it first.
If I were a human female, I'd definitely want to give birth to Al's love child.

The skid factory is one of the best programs on tv or the internet
12:22 Truer words have never been spoken than "every valve cover should be wrinkle red."
Unless the valve cover goes on a real engine, in which case it would be Ford Blue.
@@scottthompson292 why would you paint the top of a trash can blue?
Recovering from surgery in hospital. the skid factory release a video. God sent! You made my day keep up the good work!
That rocker assembly design is so nice.
Appreciate that you showed the making of the oil line/s for the turbo. Something that is simple but often not shown.
the Cummins badge a clue to next diesel build??
Cummins Patrol because the Nissan diesel wasn't cutting it! :P
@Nick Galm Have you watched the diesel Patrol vids?
@Nick Galm diesel swap into a Nissan Patrol, not an engine build though.
@@justinrobertson5493 Most oil burners dont need internal spannering, Just a clean up and bolt on.
Cummins Patrol confirmed
I wish I lived in Australia. Damn you guys have a massive car culture. Respect from South Africa

All those yt subscriptions, all those vid's... Skid Factory is always the first! 💕💕👌
bwahahaha. I was wondering how many times you had to do that take with the bin.
Came here to ask that also! LOL!
As good as Al is I knew it had to take more than 1 try lol.
Thanks for adding reference information for line sizes and hose type. Really helps for future DIY projects.

Such a treat after a big day at the orifice, tunes are great too....thanks fellas
Awesome to hear that tune/track again from few episodes back at 3:13! I would instantly buy it if they released it as a track!
Great watching a show by professionals that know their craft.

yeah, but you need a long nut for that. it's more likely you would have two nuts of the correct size to hand.
Over the shoulder round file shot is a thing of legends. Be gone.
