- The ‘Built Together’ story, where athletes and the R&D team work closely together, continues with the challenge to develop an all new, all mountain ski: the Völkl Revolt 104.
„It was to be an everyday ski, to widen our playing field on the mountain. We decided on 104mm under foot. We took inspiration from the original Gotama, an iconic ski from Völkl’s past. The ski became known as the 10-4.“ - Paddy Graham
The first 104 prototype was tested that September in Bariloche, Argentina. The playful freestyle all-mountain ski with full twin tip was an instant hit and the dimensions were confirmed almost instantly.
“The characteristics of the Völkl Revolt 104 allow the ski fit to so many types of skiing. From carving those edges deep into perfectly groomed slopes, to the bumpy and tracked off piste. It doesn’t end there, you have to go find out for yourself!” - Markus Eder
For the design, Ben Brough from California inspired the team with his ‘Spirit Animal’ collection. „Especially the fox as a spirit animal encourages action and quick, swift moves just like the playful Revolt 104“ he says.
Team members Markus Eder, Paddy Graham and Tom Ritsch took to the mountains in Bariloche, Patagonia for their first ride of the new ski. Under blue skies the trio explored the whole freeride spot, tearing up the slopes and finding some air in the backcountry.

those topsheets are wicked, need a pair of 104s now
The artwork on the ski is amazing great design job
just ordered them, can't wait to ride them hard this winter
Dayum im so happy ;) I’ll get those for Christmas !)
The 95s rip and I can’t wait to try these
What lengths is everyone riding. At 180cm and 180 pounds I’m leaning towards 188cm?
Fantastic graphics. One off cuz they don't use that anymore. Collectors item if unscathed. Beautiful or cool graphics make a difference in sales. Especially when it's a good ski. Ben is right, you wanna look at your boards and be inspired not bored. And the pop.cool.wow.factor is nice too.
Not sure why they don't recommission new art for the series. It creates a legacy. Too much cost? Or what, Volkl?
How well will these skis handle speed on groomers and such
very good for a 104, perfect one quiver ski
@@backcountryenduro4790 - As they a timber core, flex a lot, have little rise and a load of front & rear camber, you wouldn’t pick them for the groomers. More of a park/off piste hybrid.
When will we be able to buy them ?
Red Creeper I’m pretty sure late this year but I might be wrong
You can buy them now.
is this skii a good park skii?
A little bit heavy but very able in the park
If you're gonna be doing mostly park i'd recommend the 95s or the 87s
