Assuming you live close too sea level you can manage without heating in the winter. Cyprus never gets so cold. Just in case there is a cold snap get yourself an electric blanket.

Hey Michael! Thank you for the helpful video. We're moving to Cyprus this month and are looking for a flat and trying to research. What's your experience with Cyrprion winters and electricity prices using an aircon to heat up the flat? Was this what you were sharing in this video as well or did this only cover spring and summer months? :) Also, we hear so much about how important it is to have a central heating system to avoid being cold all winter - what's your take on this?
Thank you so much for the video 🙏

      Hi! Thanks for the comment,
Let me address your question coz its important indeed,
Cypriot winters are imo cold, not as cold as Germany etc, but somehow 12 C degrees feel like 2 degrees here. Last winter was my first one here and at night it got down to sth like idk 7 degrees Celsius in Nicosia (jan/feb)
So I definitely needed the heater/AC.
And this is the thing, electricity in my opinion is not cheap, especially now with the energy situation. I definitely pay like 120€ a month just for that atm (AC) so yes, better calculate thst in
For central heating im not the expert but i know that house owners often go for that here.
      Does that help?
      Michael

In northern Europe we pay double that for electricity and gas. Those temperatures are not cold for winter but I guess the houses are poorly insulated so very hot in summer and damp in winter
