    Neat video. Using weld instead of stitch equally works fine. The "weld" attribute from the weld constraint can be manipulated in DOPs as well. My two cents. Thanks for sharing the stuff you share

    Dude, you don't need Marvelous Designer any more- Houdini has replaced it. That's what Vellum was built for! Check out the release videos. Also for continuous emission just watch Entagma's intro to vellum videos they have one dedicated to that

      Yeah, I need to figure out how to do the cloth stuff. I don't think it's a replacement for Marvelous as yet. Marvelous is custom built for clothes. It got so many features that makes designing complex clothes really simple, especially stuff like adding zippers ,buttons, stitches and pockets. Also UV mapping in Marvelous is pretty much automatic. and its very easy to learn as well. I don't think Marvelous designer has anything to worry about from Houdini just yet. :)
      I will checkout the entagma videos. I've seen two of those. I haven't seen the continuous emission stuff as yet.

      Rohan Dalvi yes you’re probably right it’s not a full replacement but they’ve definitely started implementing the tools. Was more saying that to do the test you talked about at the end you wouldn’t need Marv Des

    Such a clear introduction. Can it interact with other solvers by multi-solver?
    Houdini's biggest advantage is flexible solver interaction, but I'm still using H16.5, so I can't test by myself

    • @rohandalvi
      @rohandalvi  5 років тому

      It doesn't interact directly with other stuff. I'm sure there must be a workaround but it won't be simple.

      Rohan Dalvi Yeah I understand, I just saw a demo vimeo.com/295779592 about interacting with fluid.

    Hi Rohan, thanks for your detailed explanation,it's help a lot for us. Can you demonstrate h17 soft constraints in rbd like deformable steel destruction?

    • @rohandalvi
      @rohandalvi  5 років тому

      I can barely use bullet. Deformable steel is a distant dream :P
