Thank you for your tutorial. It is really helpful. I have a question. How do I break apart smaller pieces of that peeling meshes?

I was checking your peel and it's really good, cool work.
just would be nice to slow down the start, but it's a question that I have : )
    thanks.

I think a good way to slow down the star is to play with the wind value over time and the breaking value. Thanks Alfredo! :)

yes, looks better. I used timeshift and it worked for me too : )
      thanks.

    Hi.
Thanks for such a simple but very powerful tutorial.
I have one question, is it possible to use Falloff in this setup?
So that I have the ability to control the time to trigger the effect and also a specific place on the object where the Peel Effect will start?
Let me know if my question is understandable and if not, I will try to bring some example video or image.
    TIA

Hay! Sure! You can animate the break condition over time. For example with a mask from geometry.

@@timjdesign Cool, thank you very much!
Although, I'm not so expert in Houdini, so I have to scratch my head to understand how to do it. )))
      But, let's see.

Hi! Thank you so much for this tutorial. I was wondering how would you go about applying texture material to the top layer? The UV seems to stay put, not moving with the flying pieces.

Hay! What kind of method do you use for uvs?

@@timjdesign Thank you so much for your reply! I actually managed to figure it out. I had a box projection plugged into my material. Took me a while before I noticed :D

how do you control the speed the peeling effect?

    • @timjdesign
      @timjdesign  5 років тому

You can control the speed of the peeling with break constraints or a stronger force. Also you can increase or decrease it with the timescale parameter in the Vellum Solver.
