Old Polyphia sounds like the technical version of The Devil Wears Prada, I kinda like it
I know they had a metal background with the inspire ep but had no clue they had vocals in the beginning
For those that don't know: Lane tracked most of the cleans and screams and Brandon did a little bit. I came into the band with the job of singing all of the clean vocals. Lane did all the screaming. I've left Vita Versus and now am in a band with Randy Methe (Polyphia's former drummer after Brandon) and the ex-guitarist of For The Fallen Dreams.

@Deleted Account ya it does actually it reminds me of the guitar player of Alasona because he does those clean vocals and it actually does sound like him but. Him and the drummer should share some music
I always make it a point to come back to listen to this album every now and then, I remember finding polyphia around 6 years now and much like everyone else, watching them grow and change
While I'm happy to see one of my favourite bands grow and not die out, I kinda feel iffy with the whole zoomer culture of only seeing Polyphia for as it is nowadays and pretending they didn't do stuff like this
These are fantastic tracks, if I were to be held at gunpoint and asked what was my favourite song or album/ep from Polyphia I'd gladly take the bullet, I love every single one of Polyphia's songs and it rubs me the wrong way when people just kinda scoff at these old songs or only stick to the newer songs without giving these older ones a chance
I also started tracking Unprocessed a while ago when they were still djenting and I saw the exact same thing except on a significantly smaller time frame
Give these songs a chance, I'd wager they are just as worthy of praise as their newer works and Polyphia is probably just as proud of these songs as they are of their newer ones

Brandon (old drummer) is doing the cleans btw :) Lane is the one who do the screams.
So glad they went instrumental, the harsh vocals are ok but average at best and the cleans just dont fit the music in my opinion.

Because their singers were nowhere near as talented as the musicians, the clean singer has potential but they dont belt it out like I wish they would, almost like they're not trying hard enough.

I’m sorry but the vocals make everything sound like mashed potatoes. Everything is so confusing and so fast my small peanut brain is having a hard time trying to pull it apart. Needless to say I’m 100% glad they’re instrumental now.
I really love this vocals, maybe it feels like too much sounds at the same time, but its good or maybe don't have a perfect mix.

NOOOO, please god no, your band really stuck out, im REALLY starting to like you guys, alone with progressive metal in itself, i really dont think the lyrics fit at all, and theyre all wrong, no highs, a like 2 max, deep screams are good, but none is extremely better, lyrics make it too personal, i loved listening to your music and letting my mind flow, not think about someone elses heartache, im sorry,
