    It's horrible to see a good man so maligned. The daughter is a precocious brat but the lingering shots of Glenister's beautiful eyes make up for it-thanks for uploading!

      Well he wasn't very convincing in front of his wife when she was confused & in doubt, kept his past life from her, didn't tell her about his missing daughter, always threatening to leave the house whenever she tried to speak with him. He wasn't doing his wife any favours through his actions. It was clear she trusted him that's why she married him isn't it

  • @peggygeordie

    Nice to see something that's suspenseful and keeps you guessing but isn't too violent, except for a few well-justified minutes in Part 2. Despite the title, Glenister is just too transparently decent to remain a suspect for long, and you feel his pain and frustration at not being believed, especially by the woman he'd hoped would trust him. The other actors are convincing, but it's Glenister's face you want to watch - and there are some gorgeous closeups. Thanks so much for posting!

    Still watching 31 minutes through.. we are now in the era where it would be surprising seeing a couple tie the knot. So-called development is destroying us more than doing us any evolution. Trust issues nestled in every chest now and the once felt like a long life has taken a reversal.. not worth wasting over hardships of marital problems. Building a family was once an innocent dream.. thrown off shore.
    I just want to lead a peaceful life. My goal.. is Heaven, like it or not. And I’m working on it. ✌🏻

    • @marissasue319
      @marissasue319 9 років тому +2

      Lisa Smyth It's the total opposite in the Caribbean, and frankly both mindsets sicken me!
      I believe in discipline and building a relationship with yr child, cuz frankly what works for one may not necessarily work for the other, but this.... this entitled little brat n her mum made me wanna punch them both soundly on their disgusting little snouts!
      Accusing an innocent man of rape or sexual misconduct, has got to be one of the worst things a man could ever endure, and the penalties should be extremely stiff for such lying, vile, despicable, scummy females!

    • @LisaSmyth68
      @LisaSmyth68 9 років тому

      I quite agree, I have travelled to the Caribbean a few times & yes It's so different there, So relaxed & carefree :) Don't get me wrong, There are some wonderful places in Britain, ot so much the inner cities..
      The life style is so different, In the Caribbean you kinda know where your going, As in following in family trades etc.
      Here it's confusion!.. Confusion!..
      That said the teenager really is a different species!.. lmao.. :)

    • @marissasue319
      @marissasue319 9 років тому +1

      Lisa Smyth The Caribbean is all about "licks" or corporal punishment, to the point where I don't think people can differentiate between spanking and abuse, or even care to for that matter. It's all about the disgusting attitude of, "well my parents did it and I turned out fine, so it's ok"!
      Every country has good and bad, but I much prefer the mindsets of places like UK and America, ONLY in how their culture raises teens n young people to be adults. True, their discipline is pretty lax or non-existent, but it's the lesser of two evils, as life in the Caribbean is like a fish bowl for non-sheeple!

      Beverley Parker she s a girl. Theoretically, Had she been a boy, they may have thrown her out! Evil is indulged in girls, overlooked, considered less harmful particularly if it’s mixed up with sex. A full reckoning with crime without regard to the race, gender, etc of either the perp or the Vic, and true social Equality may put a dent in that thinking. Time will tell. Those traditional beliefs about passive girls (feminine) and active boys (masculine) sever people from the truth of human nature - that all human beings have an equal capacity for good or evil regardless of their extrovert or introvert personalities. Their actions just take different forms and clever people are expert at manipulating the beliefs of others to gain an advantage. Poison versus the gun as a choice of weapon, one more likely to be used by females and the other by males - but the Vic just as dead either way and the crime just as horrendous. Equal capacity not yet equal opportunity. IMHO.

    i like this movie better than the other one made in 1987 this one is different, it has a meaning and that spoil brat i would slap the shit out of her and teach her how to Respect, someday she will get married and wants other to respect her....what do you all Think?

    • @cacamurtagh9836
      @cacamurtagh9836 8 років тому +6

      +Josie Perez Are you joking? Stepfather 1987 was great, this doesn't even come close. It isn't even a remake, it only has the same name but it is nothing like the 1987 so why compare, they just have the same name that is it so comparing them is stupid. The 2009 stepfather is a remake and followed the story (almost exactly) so comparing them two is ok this has nothing to do with them.... The 1987 was creepy all the way true and kept you on edge and had a great story, great actors and a great script.... This does not come close was just a drama about a silly messed up teen that got into a mess and tried to ruin her innocent stepfather. In the others the stepfather was a creep but here he was good so again stupid to compare, this was more like a British soap, a made for tv movie, i can't believe anyone would say this was better.... Are you Living in England.

    I'm tired of this whispering inaudibly and unintelligibly school of acting in the idea of how people really speak. They really do speak clearly at times, especially in crucial matters. We have key lines being spoken indistinctly; are we suppose to surmise the gist of what is being said? Actors don't even have to be good, just able to murmur and whisper their lines and we're supposed to believe it's real drama. Give me the clear diction actors of yore.

    • @edwardkarlson8192
      @edwardkarlson8192 5 років тому +1

      I think it's the new school of acting, supposedly more realistic, like people 'really talk". Clear diction does not hurt suspension of disbelief, but mumbling and whispering does, for me.
