I rarely pray for myself as I don’t always trust I know the best things for me. However I do ask God to prune out any branch that does not produce fruit, and to make room for new branches that do bear fruit. One branch that has gone which surprised me was alcohol. It was a gradual thing till it completely faded. Thank you Jesus.
In all your getting, get understanding Proverbs 4:7. The great understanding to pruning. 👏🏾👏🏾 The word of God is so rich and plentiful of rich gifts!

If i am understanding correctly, i think i am still being disciplined. At least i now believe God is doing this because he loves me. I thank him for that
Note the difference Derek Prince emphasises...we are disciplined for wrong doing but pruning isn't for wrong doing. Pruning is to cut us back and free us of old fruits so we can grow bigger and better fruits and be the best we can be thanks to Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit working within us! Alleluia! Amen!
Revelation 3:19. Jesus mentions "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten". If you are thinking of God and earnestly seeking to follow him you are in a good place sister. Only God knows where you are with him, but in walking with him discipline does not last forever and surely leads into purification and into feeling his love. For my part and experience; I have found God to be tremendously forgiving and loving. He loves his children much more than we can even love our own.

God disciplines those he loves just like a parent would discipline a child. It’s not out of anger but of love and to teach. If you feel you are being disciplined pray and ask what is it I have to learn or change. I was disciplined severely a year ago and at the time it hurt but he never turned his face from me and I am so grateful for the discipline.
Thank you so much. I'm going to pray for you the best prayer that I think can be made for another; that you be strengthened in your walk with Christ and that you overcome the world through him. Born again into his house you are in grace. If you stumble or fall then repent in earnest and you will be forgiven. This is because the work of Jesus on the cross is perfect and complete and in that you bear no condemnation. Jesus already took our punishment. Just be sure to stay in his grace :)

There should be no question mark in the title. It's not a question. How to understand God's treatment.
It's obviously a typo.
@Constant_Distant_Instant Well they've changed it, so they obviously didn't want the typo.
For anyone curious, the variation in Greek between the two words its Airos, to remove, and Kathairos, to prune. Airo G142 is the root, and refers to lifting up, which is used in the context of John 15:2 as lifting/moving things away the same way he removes/lifts up/purges sin away from us. Kathairo G2508 can also be translated as a form of purging things, but it's quite specifically to purge impurity usually in the context of pruning useless shoots from trees and vines, which metaphorically is used to describe pruning/purging guilt from a believer.

Does He prune away the fruit of the Spirit too? Love, joy, peace...etc? Or the fruit of good works He destined us to walk in? (Not salvation by works). Paul told the Philippians that he desired "fruit to their account" when they sent him money for his needs. So I guess that can be fruit too. That's an example of walking in the spirit.

I am confused about the fruit. When the bible say to bear fruit. Does it mean the fruit of The Holy Spirit. Or some other fruit, like work for Gods kingdom?
Yes, when we abide in our Lord Jesus and live and walk in the Spirit, we produce the fruit of the Spirit and other spiritual gifts given to us and that’s manifested through our words and deeds and the life we live, our choices, our work.
When the word of God dwells richly in us , our character is in line with the will of God, worthy and pleasing to Him, for His glory.

In this parable, the fruit Jesus is talking about is in the context of work for God's Kingdom, this can also include ministry.
At the time of this parable, the Holy Spirit had not yet come.

Higher part of the body is the Head because that is where GOD placed His seal to His remnant or His elect. HE is sealing His people in their foreheads or minds so that they will hear and understand His Voice. On the other hand, there is another voice in the lower part of the body, which is in the belly (bottomless pit), where the throne of Satan is. Do not be deceived with his voice. For there is a shakening happening in the spiritual realm, and only those who will stand and follow the Voice of GOD will remain. The time is at hand! Maranatha! To the One True GOD alone be all the glory! Amen and Amen!
