Wow! A sobering message today. This is so true! I exhaulted myself, and had great pride and ego and I was humbled ! I was taken down to the ground. I now realized my error and asked for forgiveness. I have been on a years long journey and will never ever be full of pride and ego. I feel blessed that I was humbled. It was painful but I would not change a thing. I am a better person now❤Amen❤

If someone recognizes that Jesus is the only way to salvation, that requires calling yourself a sinner who needs the Lord’s mercy. That is humility.

What you are saying is correct, as far as it goes...
But initial Salvation, isn't the point of this lecture. He's not talking about Conversion. He's talking about the subsequent process of Maturity. What theologians used to call Sanctification.
A cardinal mistake of many self-styled "Evangelists" (especially some enthusiastic but marginally-educated amateurs), in my experience, is the fixation on Conversion above all else. Effectively to the exclusion of all other practical matters of Christian life, relationships and community. Don't make that error, as it appears you're doing here. There are VITALLY important truths about the basic nature of what "life with Christ" is supposed to actually be in the here and now. These "Laws", as Prince mentions here, if overlooked or minimized or misunderstood (or willfully evaded), can wreak havoc in the Earthly lives and daily relationships of Christians who fail to properly integrate a holistic Truth into their personality. Trust me, I've seen what he's talking about first hand, in my own upbringing in a gravely dysfunctional Church and Family.
That entire system of dysfunction was effectively centered on one key issue: The failure of one man (my Father, aided and abetted by many other superficial "Christians" of his ilk), to grasp this Life-principle of basic Christian Humility. The true kind. True Humility is a lifetime stance, a foundational attitude. Not a temporary tactic only briefly feigned, in notional service of a simplistic one-time transaction.
There's plenty of people I've known (myself sadly sometimes among them), who endlessly plead the Lord's Mercy, but stubbornly ignore His practical instruction. Piously reciting their theological status as "Sinners", while refusing to acknowledge the gravity of any of their particular Sins. Humility is not only A burden, and A hurdle... It is in fact, THE Burden, that continually characterizes the whole Christian life. And if this is refused or avoided, then it remains THE Hurdle, which if not confronted, stands as the definitive evidence that many so-called "Christians" were indeed never genuinely Converted in the first place.
@@boatrat i understand you might have more personal issues regarding your father and ideas about evangelicalism which is valid. However, the truth is that no one makes themselves born again. God does so and in such a way that none can boast of since they didnt earn it. That change into becoming a new creature in Christ is what it means to be born again, to have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and to be the redeemed of the Lord. To then become sanctified is the journey of the Christian who really has been born again unlike some who arent born again at all.
And to iterate the main point, in calling out for Jesus and pleading for mercy from the throne of grace we can approach boldly because of God’s mercy.. which requires one to admit they are a sinner and need a savior. This is humility.
You too are only assured of salvation because of Christ alone. We all will be judged for our works and rewarded accordingly, but our salvation is by grace and faith in Christ.
And just personally, i find that those who speak of maturity do so from a pride position where one accuses their brethren instead of accepting those who claim Christ is their only means of salvation and that he has come in the flesh to be a ransom for us. The difference between the world and those saved is believing that statement: that Christ is Lord. And anyone who believes in their heart and confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord will be saved.

I am so greatful for this message and i need to be delivered from pride and rebellion, God is teaching me to humble myself again and i need it badly.

I’ve been praying for wisdom, and the financial breakthrough as I am in dire straits, and currently under the thumb of an extremely brain damage drug addict. I pray the Lord helps me guides me, Jesus, precious name amen.
My financial situation is in dire straits. I’ve been asking for help and I’ve been doing my best to stay humble even though at times I get very upset and very frustrated because I was lied to about a job that turned into them, leaving me penniless and then acting like a little children.
