I imagine you only talk to the marketing guys, but if you every get the chance talk to the guys at Thrustmaster ask them why the ABXY button module can't also be hot-swappable. I'm going to have to replace mine (after 2 very hard years) because I've killed the A button (then swapped the buttons round and killed it again) I LOVE this controller, but I bought it when I could afford it hoping to be able to maintain it £20 at a time, and now I can't afford to replace it...
I can vouch for this controller. I have over 1000 hours on it and I dropped it and broke one of the sticks and i just replaced it haha. bit pricy, but less expensive then getting a bad one 10x over the same hours.

Also, if they learn to steal boost/bump/air -dribble-bump more often.... I think they would be unstoppable.
Would love to see an alternative where you take V6 and train it on more pressuring/bump-oriented pros.

Unfortunately, it doesn't necessarily learn as it plays, and Leth doesn't have part in the actual coding and production of the bots.
it's not learning here, it only learns against itself or other bots. this is because it plays a zllion games at a time at super speed. 1 game of training wouldn't do anything

What ive been waiting for since many many months is just 3 crazy bots who have perfect chemistry with each other. Like bots who can just make insane passing plays. I think it aint too far.
i think that one malfunction where it just stopped moving with the ball on its roof was due to the rewards used while training it. seer gets rewarded more for being closer to the ball, the agent closest to the ball gets an extra reward and a conditional reward is given for touching the ball. the weights for both of the continous rewards and the conditional touch-reward add up to the highest weights out of all rewards, second only to scoring a goal.

I love these bot games. I was waiting for this to come out! I wish you would play these bots a bunch and upload it. Even an entire series with different ppl etc..
The bot appeared to use the reset to get to the ground faster. That's insane.

I actually got myself a eswap s pro around a year ago. After a couple of months though my right trigger started to give random inputs. You can't change those unfortunately. Apart from that really great controller. I actually decreased the range of input for the trigger but I'm still getting random inputs sometimes. Bit annoying for dribbling but for the rest really love the controller!

It really can't honestly, you can't react or calculate positions the way they do. It's literally not humanly possible to play as precise as they do
@@christianswanger123they could, for instance a diamond player can never move nor predict the ball movement the same way an ssl or pro would, but they can still learn from the gameplay seeing what they do.
@@cameroninc2086 well for starters there are a lot of things pros do that diamond's absolutely should not mimic. But the problem with the ai comparison is that they position themselves in places that no human can react to. They put themselves in no mans land because they have inhuman reaction speeds. You hear rapid say it all the time throughout the video, he kept getting dusted in positions where it shouldn't have been possible but the bots make it work for reasons humans can't feasibly achieve.
@@cameroninc2086 5:47 this is a perfect example of what I mean. The bot can be there because he reacts faster and knows exactly where that fifty is going the instant it's taken. Humans simply can't replicate that on a consistent basis

@@addisonmarriott6131 The way the bots learn to play is they just play themselves in thousands and thousands of matches, so the only experience it has of RL is against itself. That's why it's so hard to make a good bot because, if it doesn't know how to do something, it difficult for it to know how to combat it.
PS. If you want to see how bots play against each other, I would recommend watching some RLBot UA-cam videos. They frequently hold tournaments of current community bots showcasing them and how they perform against each other.
yeah the bots play countless games against themselves back to back and that’s how they learn, so it’s why when you stop moving and just sit in net or something the bots get really confused, cause no other bots will sit idle, they will constantly challenge and play fast and aggressive.
@@addisonmarriott6131 yea hes also talking about the bots. they arent hardcoded, seer is a neural network trained through reinforcement learning. so the bots play against each other and get conditional (scored a goal) and continous (distance to ball/player, etc.) rewards based on how they play. behavior that is rewarded gets reinforced. its literally like training a puppy.

Bots like these are going to change how we use the term. It’s typically used to refer to someone who plays dumb or poorly and eventually we’ll be calling pros bots for their efficient movement and mechanics.

I like the eswap s, but it has undoubtedly the worst drift after such a short time of use.
Still use it, but don't expect the accuracy it starts with to last.

Is it common for RLBot to be recognized by Windows as a trojan virus? Tried doing the official download a while back to practice against bots but not wanting to take a chance if there isn’t a safe file.

They sadly don’t have any like that but if you get the eswap you can play with the ps configuration. I swapped to that one from a DualShock and it didn’t take my small ass hands long to get used to the size difference
