It does but this isn't something I've tested as I'm not a Google Home user. This guide on the SONOFF website might help sonoff.tech/product-review/tutorial/works-with-google-home-instruction-guide/
thanks for the video so in the uk the most practical to have in in the ceiling as its uncommon to have a neutral at the switch, so if i fit one of these in my ceiling (cheaper than my phillips hue current set up for automation) even when the light switch is turned on or off the i can still remotely switch or use a timer to with the light on or off?
@@Carl_Readman_Photography Yes you can. You need feed in (with neutral), lights out (with neutral) and then a standard wall switch gets wired into s1 and s2 (one leg is normally live, the other switched. In this instance is doesn't matter which way round as its only being used as a 3v signal line)
You can but Sonoff say this should only be done if the backbox is plastic. Have a look at this page on their site for more info: sonoff.tech/product/diy-smart-switch/minir2/

Thanks for sharing this. Planning to get this. So the back box should be plastic?
According to SONOFF’s website yes, they do sell some too so I’d check their website guidelines
Great thanks. Does it work with Google Home?

I'm looking for the same answer, like could I turn it off using the manual switch and back on via the app/smart home command.

Can I bury this behind the light switch that only has the switch live wire?

No - it needs a neutral connection ... there is a bit of a shonky way to try to create a virtual neutral but I wouldn't recommend trying it.
Thank you.
