Nice to smash that quilting 'rule'!! I do pin baste. It's just easier, and besides, I don't have space for that type of frame. I don't use a frame at all, I just have it on my utility table, and sit on a 3/4 height stool. I use crochet thread, and make longer stitches. I love quilting now, love the way it looks with the colors, thicker stitching, and the larger needle is easier for me to hold.
I didn't know that you can quilt from the outside first. Thanks Joe, good video.
I si look forward to your Quilting report Joe! Thanks for keeping the craft alive. I prefer to quilt by hand any day...when I have time.

Thank you for sharing! Quilting with crochet thread is something I have been investigating. And I too am glad that rule has been smashed!
This is so cool! How do you make the frame?
So inspired! Thank you!
After watching you, I think I am going to make my own frame. Thank you!
Thank you, Joe! I always learn so much from you. What a blessing you are!
Thanks for this video. How did you actually attach the quilt to the frame?
Look up The QUILT REPORT 108, where I show how to install the quilt.
Would love to know how you made that stand!
Posted too soon! Threads mag will look for that!
