Amtrak could give the old Acela train set to Caltrain
No, the Acela is a high speed train. It‘s totally useless for a regional rail service like CalTrain.
@@bahnspotterEU It could be potentially used for express services like the Baby Bullet runs now. I think it would be cool if they had a handful of refurbished Acela trains running higher speed service 16 or so times a day.
@@SoCalHighIron I think the main problem is that Acela trains have level boarding platforms while Caltrain uses lower boarding platforms
