I'm not sure that "Final Days of the Diesels" is entirely accurate, as there will still be diesel service running to Gilroy. But it is still the end of an era, that's for sure...
One thing that most people are unaware of is the when the Nippon Shariyo Bi-level coaches were built. The cars were tested in Pueblo, Colorado and during a simulated crash test. The Nippon Shariyo coaches failed; meaning that most passenger on board would more than likely have died in a crash. That’s why the former Bi-level coaches are being sold to other countries.
@@lalakerspro They were first introduced by the Pullman Company back in the 1950s. Other operators later wanted their own models that wind up manufactured by other companies, such as Nippon Shariyo, when Pullman went defunct a decade later.
@spottinbythebay From 19:46 to 21:38 I saw that local train from all the way back from Blossom Hill station oh and seeing a double header on Caltrain is rare and it is for almost all rail operators (except freight rail) yk.
Honestly, nobody’s making you ride the EMU’s. If you dislike them so much you’ll have to wait for the Bombardier Coach trains to arrive, but I suspect that you’ll be late to work?
Lmao what a classic foamer response. EMUs' are way better for the average commute since they can accelerate much faster (meaning less journey time) and produce no carbon emissions compared to diesels.
It's quite refreshing to see more electronic commuter trains outside the northeast.
Electronic?
@@lalakerspro *Electric. Spellcheck. xD
True
9:30 the train driver throwing water😅
Amazing footage and terrific video!
9:31 look at him throw water lmao
17:21 That amazing Stadler acceleration 👍👍👍
Enjoy those last few days of variety because soon you won’t have any!
I like your videos, but people riding the line just want the line to be better, and electrifying does so. Railfanners arent really their priority

Excellent video. Greetings from Poland. 👍
The F40 and the EMU in the thumbnail are literally having a staredown
Goodbye, Caltrain F40s. At least we still have them in TSW.

Gallery cars are the worst thing to come out of America's rail industry.

Why does this video's thumbnail remind me of Daft Punk?
EMUs are trash! The F40s and MP36s are the best!
yes on god
Couldn’t agree more

It’s not possible to find parts for the F40’s as they’ve been discontinued, also EMD no longer exists.
