I think Tim's working harder in "retirement" than when he was working. Of course, doing what you love isn't work. I am counting the months until I can retire and move to NYC.
21:42 CP Common the signal is Medium Approach Slow. Red over Yellow over Yellow. At 4th Street the signal are Slow Clear followed by Slow Approach with a Stop at the bumper.
I'm hoping to do some rail fanning when I'm out in Oakland at the end of September. Last game for the A's there and I have my Philadelphia A's gear ready
I didn’t think so either, but the urge to go back to San Francisco just hit me like a ton of bricks. there are a lot of things I didn’t do on my last trip that I did on this one
It's a shame that head end shots will no longer be possible when the new electric train sets go into service soon. While you're in San Francisco, stop by the Market Street Railway gift shop and pick up a copy the current issue of their publication, "Inside Track" which features an article with photos of a history of the 40 Line street car. It ran from San Francisco to San Mateo. Almost the entire issue is devoted to the former interurban style 40 Line with many photos and a route map showing stations. I am a long time member of the Market Street Railway group.
Loved the nonstop horn at the beginning!
I couldn’t understand why San Mateo wants to institute a horn ordinance. 😁😁😁
@@3985uprr perhaps they don't like the sound of the Stadler EMU horns?
@@grantwareham946 Any of them for that matter
There is something satisfying about riding an express train!

"Horn storm". Love it!

Looking on the video, I couldn’t quite make out the colors on that signal at Common
Excellent tour, Tim!
I'm surprised you're not monetized. These out-of-town trips are great! I've never been to San Fran.
A great ride along sir 😊😊😊😊

Going to thumbs up now, but I'll be sure to watch this later.
More to come.
@@3985uprr As always, looking forward to watching.
I love the ghost BART train at 8:02. Made me do a doubletake!
Back in ca. I love it :)
Can't wait to see videos of the new trains
Nice "Baby Bullet" express ride! Next project for the railroad should be eliminating many grade crossings for a quieter ride.
Thanks Tim👌😀👍
23:55 Toasters!
Couldn’t get enough of those F40s could you? 😂 I thought you weren’t making another trip to California!

That’s why I was so anxious to come out now before the funeral
That’s not true. I took a tour of the EMU and it is totally possible to make a similar video
@@larailfan1714 I haven’t seen the interiors of them, but I’m sure it’s not nearly as good as the ones that I’ve been doing lately
@@larailfan1714that was for the tour. when the train is in service there will be a blind.
@@ThisisGabe120 Where did you get that?
Tim did you get all the way to Gilroy?
Indeed.
Gilroy---the Garlic Capital of the World!
hey, Tim, you excited about the new EMUs for Caltrain this Fall?
You will notice that I came all the way across the country now!!!! That should tell you something
