It is a little weird, but if you notice in areas like Redcliffe where there's overlapping audio only one of the voices gets subtitles, and then the rest are hard to hear.
It’s negligible. I’ve given up logic in this game when it was revealed that Inky climbs better during cinematics in the Fade than in gameplay overall.

Man, I got a really warm feeling from this scene. Everyone is just acting like friends, hanging out and having fun. Very reminiscent of the citadel DLC (which I absolutely loved) and I'm glad that Bioware haven't forgotten where their strength lies. Strong characters with the ability to connect to the player on a real personal level. Little things like this just make Inquisition just that little better, even if it isn't enough to pull it out of the muck. I really do appreciate Bioware for adding this in. :)

I like your editing of this, weaving all the scenes in a way where Josie says "tell it again", you switch to another version of the Inquisitor, almost as if they are all playing cards at once.
Thank you :) I removed all other companions comments except for Josie's "tell it again" and only added the others after the final story. An because of all those cuts I had to record the music separately so it's not all messed up by editing.

That story of Cullen's... I have this personal headcanon that that was not only Cullen himself, but it was also as a direct result of the mischievous future-Warden perpetrating some shenanigans on her favourite Templar.
Headcanon accepted.
I personally think Cullen's story was about Alistair (which, my Female Amell romanced). If it was, I would give my soul and life to see Alistair's reaction to that story if were about him.

...judging from the hints, I think I have the stories down...The Mage Inquisitor showed up to the Harrowing naked (or without pants, something like that) and perhaps encountered a Desire demon, creating an awkward and hilarious Harrowing...The Dalish Inquisitor's clan was being spied on by human hunters, so they turned the tables on them, terrorized them, stole their clothes, and chased them back to their village...Dwarf Inquisitor encountered a badass old seamstress who refused to pay extortion money, and probably ended up fighting a whole gang of Carta thugs (in my mind, I picture explosions and her getting the jump on them like Rambo)...Human Inquisitor probably ended up in the play he was talking about, and turned it into a comedy...the only one I'm stuck on is Qunari Inquisitor. Too many options.

I interpreted the Dalish story a bit differently. The inquisitor mentions that the hunters heard noises in the middle of the night. My guess is that the abandoned fortress was some sort of secret meeting place for two humans who were having an illicit affair. The Dalish hunters stumbled upon them, the humans got scared (some Dalish clans kill humans on sight, so this is understandable), and so the humans ran away without even putting on clothes.
And the Carta one too: I'm pretty sure "seamstress" was at some time a polite word for "prostitute". Now if said seamstress had interesting stories about the leader of the Carta cell...

28daysofdecay this shit is inbetween hours and hours of pointless grinding. the game could've been easily cut in half and not loose much in story and characters simply by removing retarded quests like "kill x enemies" and "collect x things" on every location. I mean for fucks sake you are an inquisitor! you have an army for that crap!
You mean those side quests you don't have to play and largely dry up for far more interesting ones after you get out of the first area?

Not to mention there is not a single town or city in the entire game. Val Royeaux is nothing but a shopping complex. Everything outside of the main quests or companion quests is just lifeless, repetitive open world busywork.
Where are the NPC's? Where is the role-playing? In Dragon Age Origins, and even Dragon Age 2, almost every single quest in the game had important NPC involvement and actual decision making to be done. It all felt important and interesting.
It's a serious problem with the game's pacing. It can take a dozen hours of closing fade rifts just to unlock the next story mission and that just plain sucks.
Inquisition is an 80 hour game with about 20-30 hours of solid Dragon Age quality material. The rest is all boring repetitive nonsense that drags the game down. It could have been an amazing sequel with tighter design.
@@EldritchAugur That's pretty unfair considering you do interact with many npcs throughout the game and do quests with and for them.
An example would be in the hinterlands alone there is over 20 npcs that give quests and or could potentially be recruited as agents.
You did not play the game at all, you probably thought running around doing fade rifts was all there was to the game.
And of course there is just not going to be as many people around there are fucking rifts spitting out demons the one thing people are more scared of than darkspawn.
You just want a copy and paste origins experience rather than to appreciate the game for what it is.
I triggered Cullen's desk romance scene before this one. When my Inquisitor was the last one to turn around, I imagine she was thinking, "I've already seen everything, what does it matter?"

Also, if you romance Josephine when playing agains just her and Cullen she'll call you "my love" and say that aparentely you won the entire set, meaning you are the main responsable for Cullen humilliation, either you or you both played together for that.
This is what makes this game and ones like it feel so real. The characters feel lively and alive and they all have stories to tell, even yours. Bioware did a phenomenal job and it was such a pleasure to play this game.

She doesn't tell stories in this game. I'm extremely disappointed and a little angry about that. In origins, she loves stories far too much to keep them to herself. In this one, you ask her to tell a story, she blows you off and tells you to go look in the library if you want a story...

Inquisitor Adaar: So, my kith was hired for a simple caravan escort in Southern Nevara. Twelve days of walking alongside donkeys and men who smelled like donkeys, across flat nothingness.
Now, I'm kind of used to fighting highwaymen. They take one look at the Qunari bodyguard and decide it's their "honor to die". Well, dark cloaks don't exactly blend into any shadows when there aren't any trees or rocks to hide behind. I had to roll my eyes at the rookie mistakes the incoming bandits tried.
They did, however, catch me off guard when mid-battle-cry, they all put on masks that looked like rabbits. What was that supposed to do? Add more decoration to the road after we struck them down? Well, no. Turns out, there was a bit of a cantrip hex left on the masks. It disoriented the minds of the people and the donkeys that were still left in the caravan. One of the donkeys even talked and behaved like the leader of the caravan.
With no mages on hand to undo the hex, we had to make the decision to continue the escort. Of course, the men and donkeys were tripping over their own legs much more frequently. Took a whole 'nother week to reach our destination and an embarrassing trip to a local enchanter to explain the mess.
After all that was taken care of, Shokrakar turned to the donkey and said, "We'll let this go if you will," and walked away.

Sera is there. Vivienne is the kind of person everyone tolerates but nobody really likes (she's pretty much the Sheldon Cooper of DAI).

You are not alone. I think "american" voice fits more for my badass Lavellan. Both male and female. With their subtle look and this low voices - perfection.

I use the female American voice for every inquisitor I've made (two elves and two dwarves) I love that voice!
eji313 I use that voice on any Inquisitor I make. I think the British one sounds a bit too girly for me. (But I have a special place in my heart for the voice, since the same actress does Traynor in Mass Effect.)
I only play a male character because of the smooth British voice 😂
These cutscenes are what made those characters feel alive

This is one of the best written scenes in any video game I’ve ever played (and I’m old-Pong in ‘78 old). Kudos to the writing team for the character interplay, humor, and feeling of the scene. Bravo.

When I had Varric tell his story when I first went through this scene my face lit up like a lightbulb, I thoroughly enjoyed that DLC and it was nice to see it mentioned like legacy. It was especially enjoyable when varric said the exact line I chose for Hawke. I got to relive the DLC all over again.
