I hope the plant flourishes enough to grow aerial leaves because I've never gotten aerials before :-)

Hi the first substrate she used was clay, then she added some heavy dirt which you will find in your typical garden. Don't use potting mix unless you mix well with clay. The last was was just sand, builders sand will be fine to use or even the type you find at the toy shops for kid's sand pits.

ok fine... its simple first thing you have to use mud or clay from any lotus pond why because its a prove your soil is good then next step use clay pot or cement pot which is help to reduce the water temperature and water will be good condition like pond water, 3 step just place your pot in half of the sun light make sure pot water temperature not increase... and don't replace the water its need nutrition , if your pot in big size just leave some guppy's fish (small fish only) thats it then your lotus will grow well, all the best dhruva if you like my videos share in your social media .... thanks bro
I think I might be able to answer. Lotus plants don't like direct sunlight, they will wither and die. As for the soul, you shouldn't use garden soil due to how many minerals it has. It's best to use clay or soil that is specifically meant for water plants.
You can buy from online for 150-200 rupees.. I brought last month and got 21 seeds for 200 rupees.. I soaked 3 seeds and 2 seeds turned to plants.. 1 did not germinate.. Other way is to buy a Tuber from near by market and plant it. Tuber is a root stem from which you can get new plant

Lol, clay is available everywhere. Even in the deserts, just go out to your yard and dig about 3 to 5 inches. You will most likely find some for your lotus.

Leaf can turn yellow due to aging.. for boosting the growth you can use NPK 20-20-20 or 19-19-19 ratio fertilizer

Roots should not b kept at bottom. It ill get spoiled. Keep them on the surface and if floating means keep weight in between.Roots ll grow in depth.
