It's not silly to hide the display. It adds a ton of visibility, especially to the bottom of the window view allowing for you to look ahead at apexes. With any turns uphill, you don't want something blocking half the windshield.
A friend took me for a ride in his 720S. It was awesome. He wouldn’t let me drive it though. But it was still sweet. I felt so inadequate driving my Panamera after that.
Of course those are the right questions, why do you think Doug Demuro is so popular? Every review talks about the engine and handling in this sort of car, but what else does it have going on? About as far as most McLaren reviews get is pointing out how the shift paddles are actually a single large rocker letting you push the paddles to get the opposite effect. Every Ferrari since the 458 has had the passenger screen, I didn’t hear about it till Doug reviewed a modern Ferrari. That’s the sort of thing that just gets lost but is typically a lot more interesting.
Why are you bringing this guy up here I sure don't understand. There are car reviewers that work there asses off and provide far better quality than that spoiled jock. He only does super cars and easy jobs and somehow gets to be liked by millions while providing about 0 value.
While mclaren is "bad" in F1 compared to ferrari or mercedes, it abliterates them in the sportcars area. I don't know how they do that, but i think they deserve big credits for making the fastest supercar at the moment.
The spec on this is just incredible, immensly understated, but i love it. I'd just make the interior specification a little more exciting (with contrasted stitching for example)

It puts out about 700HP at the wheels and if you want one that is just a tick slower buy the 600LT only 600HP at wheels but it should be more track focused less weight
I have some others questions about the 720s : what are the size of the two cupholders ? can you fold the cupholders ? are they made of plastic or metal ? do they correctly absorb vibrations ? can you customize your cupholders ? will they release cupholders in limited color edition ?
