You know this is very offensive because you forgot the can of worms which by the way if you use it gives you worms of any kind except the mushroom warm
I consider that thing borderline required in my vanilla playthroughs honestly +4 tiles in all directions doesn't sound like much, but considering your normal crafting range is also only 4 tiles (and only 3 tiles down), this is a massive QoL bonus.
Every single time I see that merchant, either he dies before I get to him or he doesn't have the loaf. Damn all the Billy Marrows in my Terraria world!
There is also the Advanced Combat Techniques: Volume Two, which permanently buffs the town NPCs, and stacks with the first one you get from blood moon fishing, as well as the buffs they get when you defeat a boss. Edit: Forgot to mention you get it from shimmering a spell tome which you can buy from the wizard.
The best way to get a gold worm is from the worm cans you find in chests, also you can use Journey Mode to get it in a less annoying way without having to create 20 worlds just for a gold worm. I love the permanent shimmer buffs, they're all relatively small but considering they don't consume any accessory slot, it makes them worth it.
pretty nice buff considering 1 luck is equivalent to D&D's advantage state, rolling twice and keeping the more advantageous roll for all applicable rng calls.
2:32 Golden worms arent that rare as long as you have lifeform analyser you'll find one but you just never notice them without it. You can also get golden worms at a 5% chance from can of worms which might not seem like that much but I have gotten plenty golden worms like that. Can of worms can spawn in any surface/underground chest and you can even shimmer herb bags to get more can of worms if you're desperate.
honesty the luck stat is so underrated, it literally buffs everything from damage, damage taken, crit chance, drop chance, etc. edit: it does not buff crit chance, but it is still very op!
its underrated because the ways to maximize it are really, really weird and complex like take a look at the luck page on the wiki, it reads like some kind of obscure demon summoning ritual lol
@@eltiolavara9 how to get max luck: petrify small children hiding in trees, melt a pearl and throw the goo into water, Kill the guide, Eat a galaxy, drink the gooey water. Kill a god and have your followers throw out lanterns.
This is from an older patch, but an honorable mention still goes to the Torch God permanent modifier, which lets you automatically place biome torches for additional Luck.
The artisan loaf is not a shimmer one, but rather sold by skeleton merchant, which I believe is the 3rd rarest. Not only you need to find him, he only sell it on certain moon phase. It increase your crafting station reach range from 3 to 6 I think. Also, the peddler satchel will affect the world, not the player, similar to the advanced combat guide. You will need a new one for each world.
The artisan loaf is also pretty good. Its a bit awkward to get, since you can only buy it from skeleton merchant at a spesific moon phase. You should always check your skeleton merchant and hope you get lucky. This buff is very nice to have and it can feel awkward when you get used to it and start a new character and you cant reach the crafting stations. It just overall very nice to have
The Galaxy Pearl was hell for me to obtain. It took exactly 300 Oysters for me to get the 1/75 drop. I should have had exactly 4 by the time I got 1. I had a proper endgame fishing setup and it took nearly 2 hours.
Since I've started playing 1.4.4, I've gotten these in all of my playthroughs. The only two I usually skip are the gummy worm and galaxy pearl, because they are too rare to be worth farming for
This part of the update was quite noticable from the sheer amount of yt shorts about them, but nobody is talking about the melee weapons that were left out from the rework, like the influx waver
My trick for golden worms, build a forest base in such a way that critters can only spawn from 1 side (like by building a giant mountain on the other side. Drop a gnome and water candle (luck and battle potions if you don't mind spending those to get a golden worm) and just sit in base during rain storms you will get tons of worm spawns, my record is 4-5 golden worms in 24 (in game) hours during a nice long storm. Also a good idea to dig a small ditch at the entrance to your base if you wanna trap the worms while you go afk for a drink
I once had a gold worm show up on the first evening of a new world, but I didn't get the merchant in time. I tried to trap it and wait, but a fkn zombie killed it :c
Hey sockrteez please review the yelets as you haven't reviewed a single yoyo yet and after beating the destroyer with the shadowflame knife the next two mechanical bosses are just single targets which yoyos excel in and if used a yoyo bag can destroy these mechanical bosses no problem and can even take plantera down due to the reasons I mentioned above as yoyos excel in single target combat please consider it.(by the way it is obtained as a drop from any jungle enemy in the jungle biome so you can showcase your mob farm for a millionth time)😊
If you're struggling with getting a pink pearl, use the blood orbs from a blood moon to make the highest tier luck potion, then shimmer it back to it's base ingredients, which gives a pink pearl!
On journey mod, golden worms are VERY easy to get as all you need is to fully research a can of worms (I believe it only takes 3) and you can just spam open a stack until you get a golden worm.
checked the wiki, the gold, iron, and necro helmets turn into their ancient versions along with jungle armor turning into ancient cobalt and vice versa, along with shadow and ancient shadow armor

I got one surprise Gummy worm once, as I was hanging around the shimmer pool, building the npc house, one just came out of the shimmer. It is nice the wurm trew himself at the pool. Nicer still that they patched it so It transforma either way.
Important note: there's a formula that can tell you the exact location of your shimmer biome, it's a bit too complicated to explain in a youtube comment, but terrasteel has a video on it and its been accurate every time I've used it.
You get both heart, the fruit and the satchel buffs in a normal playthrough, going out of the way to get all of them is for difficulty mods or making a maxed out character.
I found a slime staff at the beginning of my expert playthrough, and a gold worm at the beginning of my master mode playthrough- I’m not sure whether to keep him as a pet or use him as a gummy worm though 😢
My lifeform analyzer had said there was a gold worm 3 times in one playthrough. Every single time, I frantically search for it and it either despawned or I hear a splat sound and it's gone (it died to an enemy)
i use the shimmer biome to make my own dungeon farm so i don't have to make a trip to the dungeon i can just use the pylon and if a paldin or bone lee spawned i don't have to search for them
Bruh the Galaxy Pearl is way fucking harder to get than the gummy worm, I shucked probably 200-300 oysters and never got a pink pearl but have gotten almost 10 golden worms
